Out of the box, this unit works great. Several loads each week, with all positive results. The unit is easy to operate and is extremely quiet. You can a load before bed and NOT know it is running. We have the matching dyer and both units get a 10 out of 10 from us.

This is a good washer. I like that it is basic and doesn't have all those settings I will never use. I like that it holds a lot of clothes. I wish power and start button were closer and that I didn't need to hold start button down for a while to start washer. It also is quieter.

Gets clothing clean. The end of wash button doesn't work though.

I Love my new washer. Cleans our clothes during the first wash. The steam and sanitize feature is awesome. Extra large capacity allows me to wash our Queen size comforter. We bought the matching dryer and waiting on delivery. We are looking forward to a long relationship with Maytag.

I replaced a ten year old front loading Whirlpool Duet dryer with this Maytag dryer. It does an excellent job washing clothes, though the spin cycle is loud when it has few items in the dryer, it does an outstanding job cleaning and spinning the water out of clothes.

We have only had the washer for about a month but so far it has been very good. We have two small children so we go though a lot of loads of laundry! I’ve also washed blankets and sheets with no issues. Overall I do agree with the other reviews it is a bit loud when filling and going through the cycle and the control panel is super sensitive! Must have a lot of room in front to avoid brushing against even slightly (which we do not!) wish we could lower the volume of the bells and whistles in general. It’s a good thing we can close the door to the laundry room!

I have had it for 2 years now and I am delighted. It cleans well, holds a large volume, has some nice extra features, and apparently uses little water and energy. Not cheap but a good value compared to the market.

This machine was easy to install and set up. Not sure what HE detergent is yet. Otherwise everything is working fine

This washer is easy to open and stuff clothing into it, easy to set up for an appropriate washing level and is effective cleaning clothing and other items, including sneakers. Its use of laundry detergent is clean and efficient as well.

Bought with the matching gas dryer. Not only is the set beautiful but the washer with the Direct Drive is super quiet compared to my old Sears washer. Plenty of room for comforters and large loads. Can’t go wrong with Maytag.

It does not use much water but the result of the laundry is very clean.

Best Washing Machine I have ever owned or used! I’ve had other front loading machines and my clothes always had an odor. This one has never had any odors or mold like previous front loader models. I’ve had the newer top loading machine that didn’t have an agitator inside. It was okay, but just couldn’t get clothes as clean as this one. I’ve always used the same soap, bleach, and softener, so it is definitely the machine that makes the difference. I highly recommend this make and model. Like all front loaders though, never close the door when not in use. It must be allowed to dry.

Straight forward to use, wish it could be a little less noisy but overall nothing wrong so far.

This washer was everything we were looking for. We went to the Best Buy outlet in Dallas to search for a discounted washer and dry. All the had was LG and Samsung. Dont get me wrong those are two good brands as well, but after reading review after review on several washer and dryer we decided to go to the Best Buy store next door to it. Once there we did the whole dance all over again review after review. Finally after speaking to rep I concluded that the other brands had too many extra features that were baiscly useless to me. I would much rather have a Made in America washer without so many bells and whistles that i believe will last me years. Than a fancy one that may not even last one year. Personal opinion. Over all I do love this washer it requires very little soap and fabric softener. And leaves it smelling great.

It does an amazing job of washing clothes. Seems to use very little water. All stains come out with ease. Even some that had been around for a long time. It is pretty quiet. I like it very much.
