Purchased the front load maytagwasher and dryer (5500) models about a month ago to replace 22 years old Maytag top load washer and electric dryer. The new Maytag units are quiet and efficient, they Do more laundry thus reducing the time spent on the task.

The Maytag front load washer has clothes coming out more clean and less wet, which means less time in the dryer. A colored load can dry in an average of 25 to 30 minutes compared to the common 45 plus minutes with old washers.

We stacked this washer with the matching dryer a few weeks ago. We have no complaints so far. The stacked configuration saves a lot of space in our small laundry room. This washer vibrates much less than the 10 year old LG front loader it's replacing.

The Maytag front loader is very quiet while running. I am very pleased with it so far.
