Will those materials needed for miraculous medical discoveries be lost forever by man's need for resources and farm land for an ever growing world population. The playing off of each other and the wisecracks and humor that develop between Connery and Bracco work beautifully in supplying relief to the dramatic tension of the story. This was an unexpected smash hit after its release in 1992 and is well worth adding to your film library, especially at its very affordable Best Buy DVD pricing.

This is actually one of my favorite Sean Connery films next to Finding Forester. Had to pick it up and I hope this gets a 4k transfer as well.

I hate Sean Connery... Seriously hate. But despite that, I love this movie! I even liked him in it! A medical researcher, who beats himself up every day for a mistake he made, is teamed up with a female researcher who’s etiquette leaves much to be desired. He’s found the cure for cancer in the rainforest, but he’s not sure what the mysterious peak 37 is in his analysis. All the while, the forest is getting destroyed around them to build a road and they have to try and stop it so whatever caused peak 37 won’t be destroyed. Great movie with a valuable lesson about not destroying our natural resources.

This movie is average at best. Sean Connery is such a great actor, but in this film, the story line is the issue ... not the acting. Would I watch it again? Maybe in a few years.

Director John McTiernan was the go to director for action hit's in the 90's with Die Hard, Predator, and The Hunt for the Red October under his belt. But then came Medicine Man a smaller and more story driven film. It was lambasted by critics on release and for the most part ignored afterwards. But the combination of McTiernan's direction and Connery's performance are worth giving this one a look.

Sean Connery does a great job in almost any movie he is in, this one is no exception. It's a great story that will keep your interest all the way to the end. I bought it years ago in VHS and now updated to DVD. It is definitely worth adding to your movie collection.

The DVD was received in a package with no damage, however, upon opening, the black plastic case was smashed with loose pieces inside the plastic wrapping. I played the DVD, thankfully, there were no problems with it.

This is a role for Sean Connery that is outside of what you would expect. Very good movie with a very though provoking idea. Really makes you stop and think "what might have been" ..if this were a real story. Worth the time to sit and enjoy.

This is one of my favorite movies. A truly unique story that is both fun and poignant. It is very thought provoking and makes you believe there really could be a cure for cancer out there...

Great movie! It has everything: adventure, action, mystery, romance, drama. One of Sean Connery's best, may he rest in peace.
