One of the increasingly popular blind bag toys. They come with a creature enveloped in Mattel slime and Mega Construx pieces. They form one beast in a series that very from dragons, wolf-like beasts, gryphons, hippogriffs, gargoyles, and other fantasy creatures, such as unicorns, pegasus creatures. If you like collecting blind bags or have children old enough to enjoy these, than they are definitely worth it.

I have been buying these breakout beasts for my son and Best Buy is the only store that keeps them in stock. This toy is a great investment for something that has many different builds that my kids and create with.

They are easy to assemble and come with slime. Parts are also able to easily be mixed which leaves a lot of room for customization

We started collecting these at series 1 and my son loved them so much he asked for series 2 for Christmas. $9.99 is a bit pricey for one egg, but worth the money with the number of hours he has spent playing with them so far. The slime inside is still slimy after a few months when being kept in the closed egg. The slime is not messy at all on hands and cleans up from hard surfaces easily—however, don’t let kids play with it on the carpet! The pieces mix and match easily so if you get a few you can make your own creations by mixing their parts. The figures are made out of plastic and are bendable—we haven’t had any pieces break yet. There are some very small parts, so you have to be very diligent about kids cleaning up and not loosing the tiny spines and talons. Overall I give this toy a high rating!

My son loves surprise mystery toys. We buy the surprise packs from different brands (Disney, Nick, etc.) because they have all of his favorite characters. They usually contain a figure and that’s all... but.... the mega construx is awesome! We were amazed when we opened the egg. It came with dragon pieces in slime! We had fun putting the dragon together and digging it out of the slime. It was much more interesting than other surprise purchases. We were able to work as a team to construct the dragon all while playing with the slime. Best part is after the egg becomes a display for the dragon. Super cool toy. Great material.

My son loves to play with these Breakout Beasts, especially because he can take them apart and put them together in various ways. The pieces combine with other Breakout Beasts to form new creatures. The slime is fun for him to play with, just do not allow it to get on fabrics as it is very difficult to clean off.

my grandsons favorite toy. and it has slime! this dino egg comes in a box, with no distinctions on it, so you could buy the same one over and over again. But i guess thats half of the fun. That is why i wont buy more.

My son loves these. The pieces are small so be careful with it around toddlers but my son loves putting the beast together. Come out with more characters!

A very nice product. My daughter will not stop playing with. She found it easy to make. My son loves to, he wants his own.

My boys love these! You need to get the dragon pieces out of the slime and then assemble to dragon.

Awesome toy for kids who like slime and dragons very pleased I bought them my son lived these figures and now wants more.

My 4 year old loves to play with these, it’s easy to help him assemble and he lives all the slime .

Overall build quality is good. My kids, 6 and 8, enjoyed playing with the slime more than the beast itself.

Its not a normal purchase i would make at Best Buy but honestly, since Toys R Us is gone i dont mind having a little area where i can find these. The toy itself is great and the kids love it. Nothing to complain about there. They find it interesting 2 days after its purchased so thats a win!

we have now bought 2 of these for our daughter - in this one (first) the head was missing a part that held the head together. I reached out to the company and they sent replacement parts (which is why 3 stars and not 1). Just bought another of these - same issue - missing 3 or 4 parts this time.

My son loved the slime it came with . I did not like the mess

My daughter loves dinosaurs and wanted one of these. It is essentially a dinosaur/dragon/whatever, contained in slime within the egg. Luckily, the egg can be used as an ongoing storage container and, thus far, the slime has not dried out and my daughter continues to play with this toy. Overall, I would say it was a worthwhile purchase for her.

Bought for my nephew as part of his birthday gift. He really liked the finished dragon but thought the slime it came in was incredibly sticky and kind of hard to get some of the smaller pieces out. Though it did all come in a bag in the shell so it didn't just fall everywhere upon opening the egg.

My son got two of these in his stocking and he loved them. He enjoys legos and can’t get enough slime, so these are perfect for him. The fact that it all is stored in a sealed egg shaped case makes it even better!
