The memorex 8.5 gb dvd store video content perfectly .i have used other brands and every 1 in 4 to five disc were either defective or failed . I have not had any problems with memmrex.

Memorex has always been one of my first choices when I can find them. I was grateful to get the high capacity recordable disks for my wife's project of transferring old VHS tapes for our grandchildren to DVD. The holder is easy to use and the quality is typically Memorex excellent. Thanks for having them available.

have bought and burned over 200 of these discs and I have never had a bad disc! Today the blank media market has been flooded with cheap discs that won't work after a few uses or even burn properly! However, this specific blank media is still high quality and won't fail.

In the past, use of these discs in my late-2011 Mac Pro resulted in about a 50% failure rate. After upgrading my DVD optical drive to an LG 14X Blu-ray Reader & Writer + Super-MultiDrive my "burn" rate is now 100%. Clearly, this was a problem with my OEM drive not the discs. This is important to mention because as a working photographer DVDs are my primary backup. For example, after a recent journey to Peru I burned about 2000 images from three different cameras onto one double-layer Memorex DVD. My "working" files are on my hard drives -- automatically backed up twice a week -- and my DVD backups are labeled and set aside as insurance. My only complaint about the Memorex DVDs is that the retail package is un-labled once you remove the plastic outer wrap. I have a stack of ready-to-use CDs and DVDs of different capacities in their clear plastic containers and I have to hand-make labels to tell them apart.

No problems. Consistent Quality. Recommend burning at no more than 6x to avoid problems with DVD Players. Higher burn speeds are fine if only used on computers.

These were inexpensive and locally available so I bought them. To be fair, they did burn fine and at the quoted speed. But, I have a stack of this same brand purchased 3-4 years ago. All of a sudden this year they all fail to burn. Looking at the underside reveals patterns that indicate something happened to the dye layer. All the discs from this stack that I burned several years ago all show read errors now. So for short term use, these discs are likely fine. And maybe Memorex changed their dye formulation in the last few years. But if I wanted to burn a dual-layer DVD to preserve important files/memories for longer than a couple of years I'd consider a different brand/line.

When used as storage for my pictures and videos, I have no problem with the discs working on the first pass. I have has other brands that will fail for no reason.

Good to store pics on and send to family members. I haven't had any problems accessing cd on other computers either.

Purchased these DL DVDs for burning my projects. Never got a single coaster in the batch and that goes for the last three or four times I've purchased this same brand. Very pleased with the quality.

240 min each double the normal plus you get 50 for $40-60 which is about $1 each. I wish they would offer a pack with sleeves but still not a bad deal.

I was looking for some dual layer DVDs on a budget. I went into the store and was assisted by Kim (Yuma store). She helped me find what I needed and price matched to get me the best price possible. The media is great and out of this spindle I have only run into one bad disc. I would recommend this product, but even more the exceptional customer service offered in the store. Thanks Kim.
