My son was complaining about his XBox 360 not reading disks. Brand new ones, old ones it didn't matter. I went on you YouTube and they all said to open them up and clean the optic sensor. A lot of work and too many chances of something going wrong. I thought about using one of these since that what it says it does. It took two tries and ALL of his games work like new again! Put it in and let it rip for a couple of minutes. Comes with an audio adjust program too. Don't take the chance of really breaking your XBox. Just use this if you ever get a read problem. Hope this helps you gamers.

Has a program on it for cleaning, plus brushes embeded into the bottom of the disk. They do the job, as long as cleaning is the only need you have.

We have a 2 year old no name ("Insignia") 5-disc CD changer that just stopped reading discs. Wondering if perhaps something got on the laser lens I went searching for a CD player cleaner. I found this and figured I'd give it a try. Well, it worked. I put it in the changer and let it run for about 2 minutes... nothing. I then took it out and put it back in. Within a few seconds it started to read the disc. As this cleaner disc also has some audio test recordings (frequency sweep, stereo image, surround imaging, speaker polarity, bass "rattle test", etc.), it provided some audible proof of how well the system operated. When you look at the cleaner CD up close you see 6 or so very fine brushes hanging down in different locations on the CD. As this CD spins, those brushes will eventually pass over the laser lens aiming up towards the bottom of the CD and I guess they provided just enough cleaning to knock off whatever was preventing our player from reading the CD. Anyway, I am very pleased with my purchase.

My DVD player have been skipping songs and tracks for over two years now and i thought it was just my old DVDs but then it started to do on new releases movies too. Thinking I would need a new player, I went on a search and found this and read the reviews. Best $10 spent this year!!! When i first put the disc in, it just skip all the way from start to finish.....hmmmm.......I simply opened and closed the disc tray and whaaalaaaa, the instruction lady start speaking to me. After all the instruction steps, i put in my 6 years old Friends season 1 and not a single skip. I'm super pleased and couldn't have ask for a better more and effective product.

I was considering replacement of my 5 disc CD player and a separate CD recorder. Both were over 5 years old and having trouble reading some discs during playback. The recorder would often refuse to "see" a blank CD complaining that there was no audio disc inserted. Thankfully before replacing the decks I decided to give this cleaner a try. Both decks are now operating like new. The cleaner disc was incredibly simple to use. Obviously this disc won't help you if your problem goes beyond a dirt issue but at only ten buck it is worth a try. Now I will use it at regular intervals and who knows how much more service life I will get from these components.

My dvd player runs all discs except for +RW and +R discs. I burn a lot of discs, some rewritable and some not. When I put the disc in it starts after loading, but the audio doesn't come through and as it runs through each step in silence, it does it a lot faster than what the timer says it's supposed to. The first 2 cleaning steps are supposed to take about 2 minutes, but it runs through in about 10 seconds so I'm guessing it just isn't working properly because my +RW discs still will not play. Glad it only costs $10.

My CD player was giving me trouble by not playing and showing error messages. This cleaned it up and it is back to working like new. I highly recommend!

Inexpensive but did the job. Took too long to arrive.

My 360 was getting the "disc is unreadable" error every time I tried to play a game. Put this thing in and followed the directions. The process took maybe 3 minutes. Now my 360 works again.

Got it to clean my dvd players. Efficient and easy to use. Decent price.

I really like it. I've seen products for just the DVD that cost $30. This does both CD and DVD and you get a lot of checks for maintaing advance sound equipment.

My dvd player became erratic, often unable to read discs properly. I assumed it needed to be cleaned. After buying this cleaner, there was no improvement at all. Perhaps my player has other problems or perhaps this cleaner doesn't really do anything.

Is not recognized in one of my insignia dvd players and will not play track one in the second insignia dvd player. Track one is the lens cleaner function. The price was fair. I suppose the durability is good as it is not chipped or cracked or scratched. I'm very disappointed in Memorex.

the fine print on the package says it is not for "slot load" CD players which are common in autos, so glad I read the fine print

There's nothing else to say - it just doesn't work. A waste of money.
