Great headset. Buy a better strap with a battery.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a decent amount of experience with different VR headsets and have been overall happy with the Quest 3. The display resolution is very good and I noticed no "screen door effect" from this headset. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the hand tracking and the pass-thru video. The strap is easy to adjust but does leave a little to be desired if you prefer a tight fit. The battery life is shorter than I would prefer at around 2 hours in more taxing titles. Both of these issues are easily addressed with a 3rd party strap/battery pack. Definitely do your research and make sure inside-out tracking will work for you.

Big improvement to the 2
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Way better than the quest 2. The quality and resolution is so much higher, and it’s much lighter on the head. Battery is about the same unfortunately.

Incredible graphics and light VR headset
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! What a VR headset. The graphics are stunning and the experience is incredible. Way better than the 2, which I own. Battery life is meh, but get a after market halo strap with batteries and you can VR all day if you wish. The sound quality is great and actually quite loud all by itself. The paddles are comfortable, but the battery life is nowhere near as good as the previous model.

Meta-Quest 3
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We enjoyed the Meta-Quest 2 and upgraded to the Meta-Quest 3 when it became available. The graphics are noticeably improved. The pass through option allowing you to switch to entire room view is also an advance. The mixed reality games are another improved option. Many good apps and you tube videos can be enjoyed with this. Would recommend adding the elite head strap as it makes use and fitting much easier.

Better than AVP
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Meta Quest 3 Breakthrough Mixed Reality headset with 512GB storage, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The setup was straightforward, and the white color looks sleek and modern. Performance-wise, the Meta Quest 3 is a powerhouse. The mixed reality experience is incredibly immersive, with clear visuals and smooth performance. The additional storage is a huge plus, allowing me to download and store plenty of apps and games without worrying about running out of space. The build quality is excellent, and it feels comfortable to wear for extended periods. The controllers are intuitive and responsive, making gameplay and interactions feel natural and engaging. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but the quality and experience it delivers are well worth it. Highly recommend to anyone looking to dive into the world of mixed reality!

Pretty good
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the meta quest 3 this year because I’m too broke for an Apple Vision Pro and honestly I’m impressed. All in all I give this an 8.3/10 Pros: -solid graphics -good tracking -mixed reality is really cool -many other small things Cons: -can get hot on the face -I personally feel some eye strain after a while -still pricey for the capabilities currently -battery isn’t great

Best birthday present in years
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After owning an AVP for a week before returning it, I was finally able to use a VR headset for what I originally needed… playing Xbox games remotely. I’ve played Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Smalland extensively, and it works beautifully. Very quick, zero lag except for an occasional hiccup every couple of hours from my WiFi router. After attempting to acclimate myself to the AVP’s tricky hand motion controls, using the Q3 controllers to navigate menus and controls was so much easier and precise. The only minus is not being able to remotely play at 1080p instead of 4k, but that’s a limit placed on remote gaming by Microsoft, not Quest. Even so, playing a video game on a virtual 100”+ screen is amazing. And it frees up our living room TV so my wife can use it for what she wants to watch while I’m gaming. There are a lot of other bonuses to owning the Q3, such as watching movies and 3-D content on a very-large, customizable, virtual screen. My only recommendation is to also purchase a charging station with rechargeable batteries for the controller… otherwise you’ll end up replacing alkaline batteries on a regular basis. And a storage/carrying case comes in handy, as well.

Gimmick? No sir. This thing is awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ill start by saying I was skeptical that I would like VR. I have a pretty high standard for graphics and games, and want sure that the Quest 3 could provide a decent experience. BOY, WAS I WRONG! The Quest 3 provides an amazing experience. You are really in the action, and you move around way more than I expected. I've tried several games, mostly first person shooters, and they can really get your blood pumping. You forget you're playing a game and really get the feeling that you're there, being shot at. I've also dabbled with casino/poker games. The games are great, sometimes the people you're playing with aren't. Be ready for a bunch of kids that know nothing about poker. I recently subscribed, yes its a subscription, to Supernatural. It's a work out app. I thought, I'll do the free 7 day trial and see that this isn't going to do anything. Again, wrong. This app kicks your butt and you are sweating buckets by the end. If you get the Quest 3, you won't be disappointed. Definitely get an aftermarket head strap because the one it comes with is garbage. I also picked up controller covers with straps, another must. Waiting on an aftermarket face cover thing that is easier to wash/clean as the workouts are soaking the one it comes with. Overall, very impressed and see myself using this device quite a lot.

One step back but two forward
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best vr solution on the market. That doesnt mean there arent flaws. You have to set it up with a Facebook account, which creates all kinds of problems for littles playing. Also, maybe you dont want meta jamming their social solutions down your throat. This also means youre tethered to their marketplace. Expect to need to buy the alternate headstrap. The factory solution is really hard to get set up, and tends to be uncomfortable to wear for more than 30 minutes. For most folks, its going to really impact your impression negatively. Just plan to upgrade the strap, and you wont be disappointed if the out of the box setup isnt to your liking. Finally, the battery kind of sucks. 1-2 hours is the real world max for this thing, and it doesnt charge quickly. So, youre really left using vr in short bursts or plugging in (which defeats the whole purpose of the quest). That all makes it sound like the device is not very good. If one of these things is a deal breaker for you, then its not a good solution for you. Its certainly a less well rounded offering than the original quest or the quest 2. Most of the problems like battery and headset can be mitigated or eliminated with an extra addon purchase. So, that makes some of the issues a bit more serviceable. That said, the actual device is Excellent. I upgraded from a Quest, but ive also used the Quest 2. The realism and processing power of this thing is seriously impressive. There's also options for folks who have glasses to make sure there is clearance between your lenses and the quest's. The AR stuff is in its infancy, but what is there is really cool. All in all, the software and hardware teams for the Q3 should do a victory lap. The folks in charge of ergonomics and overall utilization experience, should look to the devices predecessors for inspiration. Still, its a really good device, and it feels like a solid step in the right direction for vr.

Must try experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many accessories and upgrades (carrying case, pro headband, etc) are WAY more expensive than they should be from the Meta store. Just find their equivalents and you’ll get a good product for cheaper. I also think it’s ridiculous that you need to spend $150 extra to double the storage space. $500 is already a lot, and only getting 512 GB out of that is annoying, especially when there’s no external hard drive. So keep that in mind - you can not add more storage via an SD card. That being said, this thing is incredible. It's significantly lighter and less awkward than Quest 2. The quality is also better, and I like the direction they went with the fine-tuning. The controllers don’t have the plastic halo anymore, which makes them less clunky, and I appreciate that. The battery life is ~3 hours for me, depending on the type of games you’re playing, Th Overall, I love this thing and am happy I got it. TLDR: It is an excellent console with overpriced accessories, and it is worth investing in a better cord. 100% enjoyable for the whole family. I highly recommend in comparison to Quest 2 (it works well as a cheaper option, but you’ll get more fatigued quicker on the old one, and it takes longer to charge).

Great upgrade from the Quest 2!
|Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the newly improved pass-through and larger storage options! I really enjoyed my Quest 2 but the improved resolution, pass-through, and performance has been well worth the upgrade. Not a huge fan of the newer straps the Quest 2 and 3 use vs the original Quest though. Otherwise great product, super fun to bust out at group events for Beatsaber or Puppet Fever!

Great PCVR and Standalone Headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good for the price, passthrough is good enough for most things, performance and visuals in games are great for a standalone device. I usually play PCVR games, and the visuals on native Quest 3 games are getting really good compared to their PC counterparts. In some parts it's not all there yet, and games still do look better on PC, but the bridge is closing.

The Best VR Headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow. This is the most amazing VR headset I have used. I was mostly interested in buying the Meta Quest 3 for mixed reality and I am completely blown away. Mixed reality is done so well and it is a huge upgrade from the Quest 2. The controllers are much more comfortable than before. The 512GB option is especially useful if you plan on having a lot of games.

We love it
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for my Sim racing but I ended up sharing it with my nieces and nephews and we're all addicted to Quest 3. There was a learning curve at first, but with something so different from the norm of gameplay it is expected to have a learning curve. The downside though was the strap. The strap doesn't hold well, especially since the Quest 3 is front heavy so I had to buy a third party strap other than that I cannot wait for the quest because I will definitely buy it.
