Works great! It is lighter than Quest 2. The pass through is a significant increase from Quest 2. It does have VR and Mixed reality. I'm not sold on mixed reality as i like being submerged in full VR while I'm working out and playing games. It charges and updates at the same time but i have had to manually update as well. I'm told this will improve as the Quest 3 updates come out. The graphics are decibel a improvement. I bought the 512 so i won't have to worry about future functionality as games update to the Quest 3

I used to have the HTC Vive. The metaquest is amazing because you don't have to use any of the extra sensors. It's all in the headset. I also like how I can connect it to my computer so I can play my computer. VR games. The quest itself is a great product and I love playing games in my friend on it. Also, the jump from the old HTC Vive to the meta quest was a huge resolution in quality improvement. But I do realize the HTC Vive was a very old VR headset. I just wish the battery life was a bit stronger on the metaquest. But I bought a extra battery kit and headpiece which made the product even better.

The MQ3 is considered the best PCVR solution for the price compared to other offerings that are 3x the cost. I have been using the MQ3 for more than a year with my DCS simpit. I'm hoping the MQ4 will bring higher performance with mini-OLED panels for higher resolution in the future. The only negative is the head straps are awful and is a required upgrade for lengthy comfort.

I recently purchased the Quest 3 512GB and I’m absolutely impressed. The graphics are sharp, the performance is fast, and the overall experience feels way more immersive than previous versions. The included Batman: Arkham Shadow game is a huge win — the action and visuals make you feel like you’re really in Gotham!
Having the 3-month trial of Meta Horizon+ is also a great bonus. It allowed me to discover new games and content right away without having to buy extra titles at first.
The all-in-one wireless design is super convenient — no cables holding you back — and the comfort is great even during long gameplay sessions.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting the best VR experience right now. Totally worth it!

The Meta Quest 3 (512GB) is a game-changer in standalone VR and mixed reality. From the moment you put it on, the full-color passthrough and depth-sensing technology create an immersive MR experience that blends digital elements with your real surroundings. It’s powered by the new Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip, and paired with a stunning 4K+ display—each eye gets 2064 x 2208 resolution, with support for 120Hz refresh rate, making everything sharp and fluid.
The 512GB storage is a huge win, letting you install tons of games, apps, and experiences without worry. The controllers feel refined, with haptics and precise tracking, and hand tracking has improved dramatically—you can navigate menus and play games without even picking up a controller. It’s also lighter and slimmer than Quest 2, with an updated face interface that’s more breathable and comfortable for longer sessions.
Spatial audio is built in and feels dynamic and directional. Plus, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, so cloud gaming and downloads are faster than ever. The headset still works great with PC VR via Link or Air Link, but it’s powerful enough to run the best standalone VR apps too.
One of the best parts is the included 3-month trial of Meta Horizon+, which unlocks access to a huge library of games and social features right away. The Guardian system is smart and reliable, and the room scanning features make setting up mixed reality experiences super easy.
It works for everything from fitness and gaming to remote work and social VR, and supports multiple users, cloud saves, and voice commands. The controllers are redesigned, more compact and ergonomic, and the headset charges via USB-C.
Whether you’re new to VR or upgrading from Quest 2, the Meta Quest 3 delivers serious performance, intuitive design, and a deep catalog of immersive experiences. It’s ready for the future of spatial computing—and makes it incredibly fun to explore.

I recently purchased the Meta Quest 3, and it has exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I put on the headset, I was immersed in a truly captivating virtual reality experience. The visuals are stunningly clear, and the improved resolution makes every game and app look incredibly lifelike.
The setup was surprisingly easy, and the wireless capability means I have complete freedom to move around without getting tangled in cords. The new controllers are intuitive and comfortable to use, adding to the overall immersive experience.
The Meta Quest 3’s performance is top-notch; everything runs smoothly with no noticeable lag. The wide selection of available games and apps ensures there’s always something new and exciting to try.
While the battery life is around 2 hours, which might not seem long, it’s sufficient for most gaming sessions. Additionally, the headset is comfortable enough to wear for extended periods without any discomfort, making it easy to take breaks and recharge.
Overall, the Meta Quest 3 is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to dive into the world of virtual reality. It combines cutting-edge technology with user-friendly design, making it perfect for both beginners and seasoned VR enthusiasts. Highly recommend!

I've owned several VR headsets over the years, but the Meta Quest 3 blows everything else out of the water. From the moment I turned it on, I could tell this was something special. The visual clarity is incredible — sharp, vibrant colors with almost no screen door effect. The upgraded resolution and faster processor make everything feel smoother and more immersive than ever.
Setup was fast and super intuitive, even for someone new to VR. What really surprised me was how comfortable it is. It's noticeably lighter than previous models, and the adjustable straps make it easy to find the perfect fit.
Mixed reality is where the Meta Quest 3 really shines. Being able to interact with both virtual and real-world elements seamlessly is mind-blowing. I’ve used it for gaming, fitness, and even productivity apps — and it handles everything flawlessly.
Battery life is solid, the controllers feel great in hand, and the game library keeps growing with impressive titles. Whether you're a hardcore gamer or just curious about VR, this is hands down the best standalone headset available right now.
Highly recommend the Meta Quest 3 — it's not just a gadget, it's an experience. Worth every penny.

I'm crazy about my new Oculus headset and use it several times a week. I'm not a big gamer, but that doesn't matter because I'm enjoying old-school pastimes like billiards and pinball, I'm working out, and I'm watching video. I've purchased prescription lens inserts from Zenni to go with it, and they snapped right in with no trouble. The resolution in this headset is way better than that of the Meta Quest 2, and mixed reality is my new favorite feature. I highly recommend MR games, especially if you have pets or small children running through your field of play. I worried I was spending too much for something I might not use, but that turns out not to have been a problem. I'm getting my money's worth.

I am very impressed with this iteration. Color mixed reality mode is very cool, the hand tracking and space mapping are hugely improved, and 512gb means I have plenty of space for everything. The fit and comfort are pretty good, but the elite strap makes a big difference. The only major downside is the battery life is abysmal. Even with brightness turned all the way down, this thing chews through its battery like nobody’s business. I recommend getting the elite strap with extra battery if you, like me, want to spend hours at a time playing.

I recently purchased the Meta Quest 3 headset and the game Asgard’s Wrath 2 from a local store, and I must say, the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The Meta Quest 3, with its advanced features and user-friendly interface, provided an incredibly immersive VR experience. Its lightweight design and intuitive controls made it easy to dive into the game without any hassle.
Asgard’s Wrath 2, on the other hand, is a masterpiece in its own right. The graphics are stunning, bringing the mythical world of Norse gods and warriors to life with remarkable detail. The storyline is engaging, and the gameplay is both challenging and rewarding. The interaction with the environment and characters in the game feels so real that it’s easy to lose track of time.
The combination of Meta Quest 3’s seamless performance and Asgard’s Wrath 2’s captivating narrative and visuals makes for an unparalleled virtual reality experience. Whether I was exploring the mystical landscapes or battling formidable foes, the sense of presence in the game world was extraordinary.
Overall, I highly recommend the Meta Quest 3 and Asgard’s Wrath 2 to anyone looking for a top-tier VR experience. It’s a perfect blend of technology and storytelling that transports you to another world. The purchase was worth every penny, and I look forward to many more hours of adventure in this spectacular virtual realm.

Meta Quest 3 feels like a genuine step forward in VR. The visuals are noticeably sharper, the colors pop more, and the new mixed-reality passthrough actually makes you want to use it instead of avoid it. It’s lighter and more comfortable than the previous model, and the XR2 Gen 2 chip keeps everything running super smooth, even in demanding games. Hand-tracking is surprisingly reliable, and switching between real and virtual worlds feels natural. Battery life is still just okay, but overall the Quest 3 delivers an impressive, fun, and polished experience that makes VR feel more accessible and exciting than ever.

The Meta Quest 3 512GB has been a game-changer for me. It’s super easy to set up, and the visuals are incredible—everything looks sharp and smooth. Batman: Arkham Shadow was a huge win, letting me step into Gotham and feel like the hero. It’s immersive and just plain fun.
The headset is lightweight and comfortable enough for longer sessions, though I’d suggest upgrading the strap for a better fit. The 512GB storage is great—I don’t have to worry about running out of space, even with multiple games and apps.
As a parent, I love that it’s standalone—no extra PC or console needed—and it’s versatile enough for the whole family to enjoy. It’s not cheap, but for the quality and experience, it’s absolutely worth it.

The Oculus Quest 3 delivers an outstanding virtual reality experience. The visuals are crisp, the tracking is incredibly responsive, and the mixed reality features are a big step up from previous models. It’s lightweight, comfortable to wear, and the game library keeps getting better.
That said, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the wrist strap on the controllers broke way too easily. For such a high-quality device, the strap feels like an afterthought. I highly recommend replacing it with a third-party option right away if you plan to play anything active.
Overall, it’s an impressive piece of tech and definitely worth it—but a stronger strap would’ve made it perfect.

Had the Quest 3 for a couple months now and the mixed reality experience is genuinely impressive. The passthrough cameras are a huge leap from the Quest 2, making it practical for blending virtual elements with your real room. Game library keeps expanding and the standalone performance is solid. Wish the battery lasted longer during intense sessions, maybe 2 hours at best, but it charges fairly quickly. Overall a great standalone VR headset.

The MR (mixed reality) capabilities open up new use-cases beyond just “sit-down gaming” — e.g., exploring virtual worlds while still being aware of your surroundings.

Where it falls short / trade-offs
Battery life remains modest: many reviews put typical use at around 2–3 hours before needing to recharge.
XR Today
+1
The mixed-reality passthrough, while impressive in concept, is not flawless — some users report the quality of the pass-through as less polished than expected (slightly blurrier, less “magic” than promised).
Reddit

Despite the better optics, the field of view and overall immersion still don’t match the very top tier (tethered PC VR headsets) — for enthusiasts chasing ultra-premium fidelity, there are still gaps.
XR Today
Audio / wireless accessory limitations: Some recent commentary indicates wireless audio (e.g., Bluetooth earbuds) still suffers latency issues, which can affect certain experiences.
GamesRadar+
Price: Because you’re paying for these upgrades, it’s more expensive than the base models of previous generation. Whether the leap is worth it depends on how much you value the improvements.
Who it’s best for
New-to-VR users: If you’ve never owned a VR headset before, this is a very solid “entry into VR” pick — strong specs, good comfort, and standalone convenience.
Upgrading from an older headset: If you have a much older model and are upgrading, the jump is meaningful (better visuals, smoother experience).
Mixed use (gaming + media + casual MR): If you want one device to do games, immersive media, and some mixed reality experiments, this covers a lot of ground.
Not ideal for: Hardcore VR enthusiasts who need the absolute highest fidelity, ultra-wide field of view or longest battery life and who are willing to be tethered or invest in higher-end gear.
My Verdict
If I were to summarise: the Meta Quest 3 is very good, and for many people it’s the “sweet spot” of VR hardware in 2025. It offers big strides over prior generations, and it hits a great balance between performance, ease of use, and price. That said — it's not flawless, and if you demand top-tier specs for niche VR use-cases (professional simulation, ultra-wide immersive setups, etc) you may find limitations.
My recommendation: If you’re looking for a future-proof, versatile headset for gaming, media and some mixed reality — it’s a solid buy. Just go into it knowing the battery will limit long sessions, and the MR capabilities, while exciting, aren’t yet perfect.

Very good meta quest! The visual effects makes me feel that im actually in the game! The controllers are lightweight and feel comfortable in my hands, They give me the sensation that I can actually touch and totally interact in a game. Its not laggy when I play high quality games. The headset strap is very comfortable and is adjustable to wrap aroud my head. The lense settings are a big plus! It lets me adjust to the perfect fit to my eyes. The lenses dont fog up at all, its very breathable. Now some things to improve on. The battery life, it can die very quickly. Max battery only lasts 2 hours, and when playing high quality or demanding games (graphics) that can drain it drastically. And when playing demanding games it can cause the headset to get hot on the front of the headset, which causes me as a player to start sweating while playing, which makes it uncomfortable. Overall its a great product I would recommend to my friends to buy!
