    Vision Pro is much better

While its extremely cheaper than the vision pro, the quest 3 is a just ok option. I had a ton of issues with productivity and the free valhala game. My biggest downside is the necessity of a facebook account. I ended up trying the vision pro, and it only took a kidney sold to get that purchased. It is a far superior product, and shouls be when it’s 8 times more the price. My guess is the quest 4 will highly compete with the AVP. Eager to see the future!

You would think that a company charging $650 for a something thats right in your eyeballs would spend some time in Quality and Control producing their LCD panels but no, thats not the case. I’m already on my second headset because of dead pixels on my first and this one has a dead pixel and a stuck white pixel on the same side and just on top of each other. Check your headset and return them if you find any, don’t let this big company get away with this.

If you previously had the oculus two that was quite versatile for people that are non-gamers, you will be disappointed in this product. It specifically revolves around gamers and has very little VR options for non-gamers.

I bought this as an upgrade from the quest 1. but not much of an upgrade, still disappointed with the video qualities. My kids loved it though.

I’m somewhat new to VR, but have used the Quest 2 for around 15-20 hours so I can give a little perspective as a newbie and a novice who can compare the two devices. I will say that the Quest 3 is very impressive and I have enjoyed my time using both the Quest 2 and Quest 3, and that the latter is a great upgrade. Setting up the Quest 3 was easy and didn’t take very long to get going. I did have an issue when trying to connect to Wifi when choosing the option to connect with a QR code on my phone. I created the QR code but the Quest 3 could not read it, so I had to enter the info manually. No big deal, but I figure the setup would be quick and seamless since it’s been out for years. Other than that, the setup was smooth and I had already purchased some games in advance that were populated in my library. Some big advantages of the Quest 3 over the prior model is the color passthrough, looks so much better and you can do things in the real world much easier with the headset still on! Also makes the mixed reality apps much more realistic. The Quest 3 can automatically draw your boundaries for you, just be looking around. Very nice perk! While I’ve been using the Quest 3 for a few days, I have friends who also own both versions and they tell me motion sickness seems to be much better on 3 as well. Battery life is decent but I would recommend a new headstrap as the one that comes with it isn’t very supportive. I like to get the ones with a swappable battery option built into a headset that provides both comfort and extended usage, especially since an addictive game will go by quicker than you think. The built-in battery gets you about 2-3 hours of usage, so having a spare on the headset is very helpful. Speaking of, the Quest 3 comes with the Batman game at the time of this writing which is actually an impressive game. The graphics look good and the game play is fun, not to mention a decent workout fighting villains! After my buddy played it for one evening, he decided he wanted to go buy the Quest 3 as well which speaks for itself on the game. So now we have the option to play multiplayer and co-op games together, but sadly Batman doesn’t have that option. Casting the screen to the TV is a nice feature for those around you so they can see what your wild swings and movements are all about. I have noticed some weirdness with the casting on my headset such as some instability like shaking or distorted picture briefly, but it goes away. Make sure you have the right type of streaming device to cast to, I used my Nvidia Shield and it works well. I also connected the headset to my PC which is a very cool option. I am able to look at my computer monitors but they are like room-size monitors which looks awesome. I have yet to test out any advanced features such as using mouse or keyboard or other mixed reality productivity apps, but the features that are built-in are pretty solid. I’ve connected to my PC both Wirelessly and with the wired USB cable. Both options worked well and were fairly easy, just make sure you have the proper software on your PC and you should be good to go. Overall, I love the Quest 3 and its upgrades. I also recommend getting the larger 512GB as my buddy has the 128GB and is already maxed out and regrets not getting the larger size. I’m also at around the 120GB of used storage space after only a few days and I feel like I haven’t even put that many apps on here. Its good for all ages….everyone around seems to want to play it too, so it makes for a nice entertainment option if you have family living with you or visiting. Its also a great way to connect with friends you don’t see often. For instance, I have friends that live out of state and we sit at a virtual table together and play poker. I think this product is great and looking forward to exploring all the productivity ways I can take advantage of it.

Best Buy is a Breeding Ground for Scam Artists

I did not purchase this, a scammer did. My bank alerted me to a fraudulent charge and I got my money back, but since my order was placed for pick up I attempted to call the store so they could intercept my product. Really this was a courtesy to them because no one had actually paid for the device. However, it was so impossible to reach an actual human being to explain the situation to through that Best Buy was no help at all. Since the bots recognize my number and associate with an order, each time I called they said that my order was ready for pickup. But after the FIFTH attempt to speak to an actual human being, the bot informed me my order had been picked up. This scam happens a lot with Best Buy, so if you ever start receiving 100 emails in one minute from websites you’ve never subscribed to, check your charges.

Not nearly as user friendly as I expected to set up and simply do things. Constantly had to take it off to look things up on my phone. Pass through camera quality is AWFUL, basically unusable. And just the lenses themselves are very grainy and low definition. Even 8k vr video doesn’t look very good. Poor quality control, mine had a broken lense adjuster. Just a really bad experience all around

I have been trying to set the quest 3 up forfour hours and during that time it would only stay connected to the internet for around 2 minutes at the most. I went to customer support and different forums about the issue and could not find any answers to fixing the issue. Customer service only wanted offers work arounds such as using your phone as a hotspot instead of connecting directly to wifi. I even tried connecting to dofferent frequency channels and it did not help. For $500 i will definitely be getting my money back.

The device stopped charging after 3 weeks of use. After a year of fighting with Meta to replace both the headset and the Elite Strap that I had purchase, they responded with "Your device is now out of warranty and can only be replaced for $459.99." Unreal that they refuse to support their launch day customers that experienced charging issues so early on. 1/5 stars for what would have been a great device. Meta support is AWFUL.

Bought this on Cyber Monday as a Christmas present for my son. He was overjoyed to receive it, only to find after hours of failed attempts that it was defective. Only reason I gave this more than one star is because of the ease of getting a refund. As no more were in stock, I had go through another vendor for a new one, who thankfully offered free next day shipping. My son loved it once it arrived, but this experience makes me question making any large scale purchases from Best Buy again.

Myself and my daughter both had massive headaches within a few minutes of use. Doesn't seem to bother my son though. I have read the reviews suggesting that purchasing the elite strap helps make it more comfortable but after spending $500 for the system, I'm having a hard time justifying spending more on the accessories. It should have been included since this appears to be a fairly common issue. Also, the headset does not form a complete seal around my face, there is a gap at the bottom. If I try to reposition the headset, the images become blurry. And finally, I have to agree with other reviews, the mixed reality resolution is pretty bad. Very grainy. Overall, I didn't buy this for me but disappointed that we're not all able to enjoy and for the price, not really worth it.

      Hi Arslan!

We're sorry to hear about your eye discomfort. We'd recommend you changing IPD setting on Meta device to the point where your eyes feel comfortable. This would ease bad eye strain, which would make you play comfortably longer. We further recommend giving this -Meta's public article on IPD and lens spacing on Meta Quest- a read., to learn more about IPD setting and how to change it.

      Happy Gaming!
