I tried the ones you cram your smartphone into and those that connect to your PC. None of them impressed me or made me think this was anything more than a fad. Finally those days are over. The Meta Quest 3 has finally brought quality VR and MR to the masses at a reasonable price. Sure, 500 bucks might not be reasonable for everyone but now that VR is mainstream the prices will eventually come down even further (see Quest 3s). This device has me rethinking my entertainment options. Last night I watch a full length 4k movie in VR on a 100 inch screen in a dreamscape media room and it looked and sounded amazing! This takes private viewing to a whole new level. Get one and see for yourself!

I came from a Quest 2, and the FOV and the slimmer design of the Quest 3 is amazing. It feels a lot less like a brick on your face due to the slimmer design. I have also been enjoying the color passthrough using it to watch Youtube and Twitch while doing other things.

A VR Headset i can stand by

The camera passthrough is significantly better than what is on the Quest 2 as you can see through the cameras in color accurately. Games like Beat Saber look a lot sharper even games that aren't optimized for the Quest 3 yet, looks great.
