Playing great games for a VR device it’s worth it. The headset feels great on my face and the controllers are nice and feel great (of course I’ve got accessories like straps and battery pack etc.) But of course the in game experience is amazing with great looking visuals, sounds, and just overall impressive performance.

The Challenges: Safety and Eye Strain Despite the high-end tech, I’ve encountered some significant physical hurdles: * Safety Hazards: Even with the improved depth tracking, I’ve found myself accidentally hitting my coffee table during intense sessions. The "Guardian" system is good, but you really need a completely clear space to avoid bruises. * Eye Strain & Brightness: The display is almost too bright for me. My eyes become sore after just 10 minutes of gaming. The "brightness kills my eyes," and it makes me wonder about the long-term effects of having screens this powerful strapped so close to my face. * Battery & Ergonomics: You’ll get about 2–3 hours of juice. While the default strap is okay, I’d highly recommend a third-party "Elite" style strap for better weight distribution. Final Verdict The Meta Quest 3 is easily the most powerful standalone headset available, offering stunning visuals and top-tier games like Batman: Arkham Shadow. However, the physical toll is real. I was very close to giving a four star because the strap just isn’t the best option out there, but otherwise this quest is an amazing piece of hardware. Even as an upgrade from the second generation, the improvements are well worth the investment. The pancake lenses and 4k resolution is astounding. The upgraded graphics is also noticeable but not enough titles are taking advantage of this though. Say goodbye to custom songs on beat saber for now, still worth.

Much appreciated improvement to Quest 2: resolution is much better, so passthrough is much better, too. The controllers work well, but are sometimes finicky. I keep losing one and have to reset. The battery capacity is its biggest weakness, in my opinion; you really need an external battery to enjoy. Also, the elite strap is more comfortable than the included soft one.

Lots is fun to use. Runs smoothly and the video display is nice and crisp. Batter life is also good. Overall been enjoying it. My whole family uses it and it’s fairly easy to adjust the straps to fit everyone’s size. Also comfortable, the straps don’t dig in. But beware of using it for more than an hour at a time. Could lead to headaches or dizziness.

Amazing device, I would say you do need to invest in a battery pack and head strap as the device will die out in about 1.5/2hrs on its own. And the strap is not so comfortable. Other than that this device has provided me with so much entertainment from movies to games to work outs!

Bought this for our son. He absolutely loves it. We love it since it does make him get up and move. He is sore from playing games and that is better than just sitting down playing X Box. The only thing that is not so good is that it only stays charged for 2 hours.

I love the pass through mode in color, better resolution, more reliable when playing games as well. Excellent choice for replacing our Quest 2.

Huge game changer from the psvr the only limit is how small of an environment you're in, and not having a charger for double AA batteries but they do last a pretty long time. Resolution is and graphics are very sharp.

My son has had a couple Occulus 2 models. We’ve had to replace them. The Best Buy Warranty costs a little extra however every time it’s had an issue, we have no problems returning to store and exchanging his device! He definitely loves the Occulus 3 better than the 2. He waited a bit to be sure they had they bugs worked out. He’s had it a little bit now with no problems.

Kids love it. Unfortunately I have motion sickness I can’t use it. But my kids have a blast every time they on it. We had to get a second one.

We enjoyed the Meta-Quest 2 and upgraded to the Meta-Quest 3 when it became available. The graphics are noticeably improved. The pass through option allowing you to switch to entire room view is also an advance. The mixed reality games are another improved option. Many good apps and you tube videos can be enjoyed with this. Would recommend adding the elite head strap as it makes use and fitting much easier.

Wow! What a VR headset. The graphics are stunning and the experience is incredible. Way better than the 2, which I own. Battery life is meh, but get a after market halo strap with batteries and you can VR all day if you wish. The sound quality is great and actually quite loud all by itself. The paddles are comfortable, but the battery life is nowhere near as good as the previous model.

If you have a Quest 2 and are on the fence about whether or not to upgrade to a Quest 3, I'd say take the plunge. I rarely used my Quest 2 after getting over the initial honeymoon phase, and I mostly blame that on the low quality visual experience. Quest 3 has a better field of view, a higher resolution, and a pass-through option that isn't completely useless. I can actually read text now without it being a blurry mess. My main gripe is the terrible head strap that it comes with, as longer sessions become an exercise in masochism. I'd really recommend buying a third party head strap--one that has batteries preferred.

This is our second Meta Quest 3 headset, and we love it. This really gets so much further along in the promise of what VR / AR can be. The thing is a bit front heavy, so I recommend buying a strap or headset with a rear battery to counterbalance the weight. The extra battery will also expand your play time.
