This thing is perfect and can do anything you need, PCVR or standalone this is one of the top headsets out right now.

Worth the upgrade, but needs a little software

The big drawback is that the user interface locks down the menu size where you used to be able to make it as big or little as you want. This is fixed if you download an app that allows it, but it was really nice just to have custom windows by default. I wish there were at least demos of the mixed reality games other than the into game they have. It is just too simple. I remember the htc vive when it first came out was amazing and while this is a really good cost to value ratio software development is where this could really shine. The manual opd adjustment is a huge leap forward from the last generation and I almost cant wear the old headset. Overall I really like the new version and cant wait for the new games like the lego mixed reality to come out soon.

Graphics are much better than I had expected. I played for 3-4 hours on most days since purchase. I still have more to explore with the headset but so far i have not been disappointed.

Get a silicone or PU leather one. Other than that, the games perform very well. You get a lot of games with the free 3 months of horizon+.

To be honest I can't really tell the difference and regret not getting the 3s. Besides that the passthrough in color versus black and white like the quest 2 is a cool improvement.

Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts! It's true that the 3S is a fantastic value, but the Quest 3 really shines when it comes to edge-to-edge clarity due to those pancake lenses (no more 'sweet spot' hunting).
A quick tip: make sure you are trying games that are specifically 'Quest 3 Enhanced', that’s where you will really see the difference in sharpness over the 3S!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly this is my first vr and it’s not a bad experience.I’ve played a few games from asgards wrath 2 (which won't boot up sometimes) to espire 2 and so far I'm enjoying my experience. I bought the quest 3 for my wife for our anniversary and while she doesn't play many games she loves the metaverse app (I believe its horizons or something) l love how I can use my smaller pair of glasses in the ve headset because the first time I didn't have no glasses on and couldn't see. The handtracking needs a tad bit more work on my opinion sometimes it randomly just stops working. Overall I just don't think I needed all the space of the bigger model has but we love it. Hopefully we'll get more games to play and enjoy.
