I was not sure what to expect but I honestly thought it would be cooler. We returned it since it was so expensive and not really worth the price tag.

My children enjoy golfing and fruit ninja. Even games for adults are fun. I have enjoyed playing Ghostbusters. Overall great product. Alot of fun. Chage holds for a good period of time.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the quest 3 directly from the Best Buy store last weekend and purchased another one online in order to get an additional benefit they didn't offer in store. Tried to return the original today but was confronted with a different serial number than what was listed on the receipt. They said they wouldn't take it back because the serial numbers don't match and I would need to do the leg work in order to get it figured out. I left the store and researched online to find out the serial number on the box is a package number and each individual piece has their own serial numbers. Apparently meta didn't relay this information to their retail locations or the managers at Best Buy don't know what they're doing. Either way it was a frustrating and waste of time experience for me.

Upgrade even if you have a quest 2

We bought it because we needed to be a little more active and it works ! The free apps make it easier and fun to move in ways that help get us in shape. Definitely glad we made this purchase.

Not what I was expecting.

The battery life is poor. I would also like to mention that it warms up very easily and that the tracking does not pick up that well. I tried to tamper with some settings to see if it would help the issues but it was still no good. I feel like I wasted good money on a VR I was genuinely excited for. Also the graphics (on VR chat for example) would not load properly. You can’t see characters. Even if you turn them on you have to do it manualy for EVERY person you see. If you are looking for a great vr experience and hope to have a great time like me, I would suggest looking for a better one that is actually reliable and have better power and graphics. Not some egotistical vr that can’t perform the way it says it will.

We always work very hard to deliver the absolute best VR experience so it is disappointing to hear that the Quest 3 could not deliver to your expectations in this case.
In regards to VRchat we can't directly support you as it is a Third-Party game, but there is a little bit information and advise we can share.
VRchat is available in 2 categories, PCVR and Quest.
Often PCVR player models are not show on Quest which means that you will see a Fallback model, which each player has to choose for themselves.
If you have a VR-ready PC you can use the Meta Link to connect to it and harness the power of your PC.
The specific issue you mentioned in regards to having to turn on each character manually could be related to an age restriction or verification for which we'd like to refer you to VRchat directly.
Now in regards to the battery life and thermals you mentioned.
The Quest 3 is expected to offer around 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours on a Full charge.
However it should not heat up significantly.
If you feel it is heating up too much or that the tracking is not working as expected please reach out to us via email and we will gladly assist you.
