The Meta Quest 3 is incredibly easy to use, even for someone new to VR. From the moment you unbox it, the setup process is smooth and intuitive. The interface is clean, the controls are responsive, and it doesn’t take long to get fully immersed. The updated design is lighter and more comfortable, making longer sessions much more enjoyable without feeling bulky or overwhelming. One of the best features for me is the 512GB of storage. I love being able to download and keep a large library of games without worrying about space. Whether it's action, adventure, puzzle, or fitness games, there's always something ready to play. It’s great not having to constantly delete and reinstall games just to try something new. As a PC user, I’ve found the performance on the Meta Quest 3 to be a huge step up compared to older models. With the ability to connect to my gaming PC, the visuals are stunning and the frame rate is super smooth. Games like Half-Life: Alyx and Blade & Sorcery look amazing and run without a hitch, making the experience even more immersive. Overall, the Meta Quest 3 offers an outstanding VR experience. Coming from the quest 2 the quest 3 is definately an upgrade. The lens is better and easier to find the sweet spot. Graphics seem crisper and the ability to use your hands instead of the controllers is pretty cool. Battery isnt great which means youbare also buying the replacement headstrap with built in battery to extend playing time. And a backup battery if you are sharing this amongst friends. That adds to the already high pricetag. "Is it worth it" depends on you. If you already have a PS5 or Xbox then its a cool addition to your gaming platforms. If this is your primary device then youll value it more. The meta app has gotten better. Sharing to an outside screen is better. Seperating your facebook account with a seperate meta account is way nicer.

Had the meta Quest 2. With the quest 3 The resolution per eye is slightly better the lenses are definitely wider, and I like the adjustments better on this than the quest 2. Adjustments like distance from the eye and the head strap. The head strap feels much better than the Quest 2. The quest 3 is slightly heavier than the 2 but feels lighter when wearing. The image quality is definitely better and noticeable. It's not extremely noticeable because this is not like the resolution jump from 480i to 1080p that we all experienced 20 years ago A 256 GB option would be cool for a cheaper price point. The controllers also feel better in the hand. It's definitely worth the upgrade but like I said a 256 GB option would be good for a better price point

Short version: best value for money, works great on it's own and connected to pc. Get different headstrap, cannot overstate how much a headstrap with a fan helps (like bob vr s3). Detailed version: I got this while I was looking for a headset, specifically to use with PC. Considering the quest 3 has the hardware of a cellphone, I wasn't very confident that this would be a good fit. However, nearly every other headset on the market is sitting somewhere around 500 to 1000 dollars more than this, so I gave the Quest 3 a shot. Needless to say I've been pleasantly surprised with how well this works. On PC, it connects pretty easily (depending on which way you connect) and so long as you have a good wifi connection and a PC sufficient to run your game of choice, it works great. The PC does the heavy lifting and the quest just becomes an interactive display. The pancake lenses are a mile beyond fresnels, which really helps bridge the gap compared to some other headsets that might beat quest on pure resolution. Plus, the IPD settings on this allows you to get a much finer picture compared to some headsets (like the 3S for example) that only have a handful of preset settings. The battery life is ok but I highly recommend getting a third party head strap with a built in battery. The Elite Strap is waaay overpriced and honestly isn't worth it. I cannot recommend enough getting a head strap with a built in fan (like the bobo vr s3) as the headset gets pretty hot while gaming (something I noticed immediately while using a friend's headset with the elite strap). Overall it's been great.

for a first headset, this thing is pretty great! battery life is a little lacking, but I play pcvr so it's plugged in the whole time. very capable and the built in finger tracking is really nice! probably the best bang for the buck headset out there

Upgrading from the Quest 2 to the Meta Quest 3 is like night and day. This headset is worth every penny. I bought it specifically for sim racing on iRacing, and it has blown me away. Big improvement from quest 2. Need aftermarket head strap as stock not comfortable and needs longer battery. Recommend a head strap with swappable battery. Lots of games and really like the new subscription model as it’s cheaper and has many games with 2 new games monthly. Fun games and also nice to watch movies and surf content. Could use better interface as I am quite spoiled also having an Apple Vision Pro. Using the hand gestures to select items takes a steady hand. As for accessories I like the Meta version because all work together recommend the charging cradle, hand straps and silicone facial interface all work perfect together and keeps you charged up and ready.

My first intro into VR and this unit doesn't disappoint. The passthrough is great compared to prior models I tested. Its like a private home theatre for movies and the speakers are great as well.

Coming from a quest 1 and tried a friends quest 2. This is a massive step up in quality. Screen looks much clearer and feels much lighter. I would recommend getting a different head strap because the little jock strap it comes with sucks and hurts my head. With an upgraded strap this thing is a lot of fun. Would also recommend getting a strap with another battery if you plan on playing for longer than an hour or two at a time

I didn’t expect to love the Quest 3 as much as I do. I originally got it thinking it’d be a cool gadget, maybe some games here and there. Instead, it ended up becoming one of the most useful things I’ve bought in years. The biggest win for me is fitness. I’m doing high-intensity workouts multiple times a week now, and it doesn’t feel like a chore. Stuff like Beat Saber actually gets my heart rate up and keeps me moving, and it’s fun enough that I keep coming back to it. The headset itself feels like a real upgrade too. It’s sharp, smooth, and immersive in a way that’s hard to explain until you try it. It’s also been great for zoning out at the end of the day without just doomscrolling on my phone. If you want something that’s actually going to get used and not sit on a shelf, the Quest 3 is 100% worth it. It’s not just “VR is neat.” It’s genuinely changed my routine.

Had the valve for a while but needed to upgrade and it was definitely worth it, with the intigrated software i could just play anywhere, hand sensors are fine if you dont have much light then they start acting kinda weird. Resolution is good. I saw people having a lot of issues with tue steam connect maybe because of their internet connecting but i have ad any issues with a cable is even bette. Only complain would be battery life but there a log list of products that deal with that issue as well as others. Overall if you dont wanna spend crazy amount for a vr set up this is definitely a decent product pr just wait for the nrw steam vr

I am an owner of the original oculus quest 2 during covid and let me tell you. THIS ONE blows the quest 2 out of the water. In terms of performance alone, all my games have a greater level of detail. Everything is smoother and new fidelity I didn’t know was possible on a standalone system. The new lenses are a game changer, no more fuzzy text or comparing the view to my terrible vision or dry eyes. Meta as released a product that will stay current for quite some time. Plus, plug this in to a pc with a link cable with a powerful system and you will take advantage of the new lenses even more The controllers are a big upgrade from the previous generation. I constantly clashed the large rings in the last controller, no more issues with that as I reload guns in VR. Lastly, the elephant in the room. Mixed reality, it’s super crisp and a lot of fun! You can go around your house looking like a total idiot but have full visual and fulll functionality after adjusting properly to digital depth perception similar to NVG’s. (Night vision goggles) I can see this being a great product for both gaming and productivity! I have referred people and everyone I tell about the system it literally sells itself.

This is an overall alright headset by Meta, it feels lighter and is more graphically powerful than the quest 2. Just a word of advice, if you plan on spending many hours with this device. You will need to spend more money on accessories which raises the base price. The provided headstrap is terrible and uncomfortable, along with the battery life as well which is realistically around 1 hour and 30 depending on device usage in passthrough which drains faster. The passthrough is terrible if your house has terrible lighting, unless you have a lot of windows or studio lights expect a grainy passthrough. Would I still recommend this headset? Yes! The ability to play standalone wherever is amazing around my house, and being able to wirelessly connect to my PC and play all my VR games with zero lag is also amazing! So it just depends on whether you think the upgrade is fit for you in the end in terms of money.
