SNAKEEEEEEEE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a fan of Metal Gear you will love it. If you wanted to be but never was because of the wonky controls, they finally fixed them. It's like Metal Gear and Mercenaries had a baby and that baby married Peace Walker and they had some weird incest baby because Peace Walker and Metal gear are technically brothers

A great game that's incomplete & disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a huge Metal Gear Solid fan, I'm very disappointed with MGSV, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any good things about it. MGSV being the first game in the series to go open-world is refreshing and adding stealth elements to a franchise that has been linear for a long time is so new that you can pretty much play the game how you want; you can go guns blazing, be stealthy, and infiltrate with whatever is necessary for YOU. The gameplay is superb and adds depth to an already established franchise, but overtime it just gets tedious and repetitive. Now to the disappointing parts - the story is so minimal that I'm actually surprised that I get excited for a cutscene whenever they happen. The rest of the story? It's all heard through cassette tapes that you acquire throughout the game and at the end of missions. If you follow gaming news, the mastermind of MGS, Hideo Kojima, has been kicked out of Konami due to unknown reasons, which leads to the game feeling unfinished. In addition, without me giving anything away, the story doesn't "close the book on the saga" as it adds more questions to the lore of the franchise AND is not the ending to a series that people were looking for and to see the downfall of the character you're playing as. Can you blame Kojima for doing this? Maybe. Can you blame the higher-ups at Konami for shipping out a game that isn't complete? Absolutely. The online potion, Metal Gear Online (MGO) doesn't hold up to the previous MGOs that released back then as well. Do I still recommend it? Sure! As it gets more people into the franchise, the better, since it is one of the best ones out there that's been going on for 28 years!

Such A Great Final Installment Of The MGS Series!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been playing MGS since the Playstation One days, while some of the games didn't always meet expectations I still enjoyed playing them. MGSV The Phantom Pain was by far without question my favorite. The free mode, story line, graphics and the abilities of the main character make for a very entertaining time.

Fantastic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been a Fan of Metal Gear Solid for many Years, and this game lives up to its name. The amount of work put into this game is breath taking. The visual, the storyline, the characters. There is so much more than meets the cover of this Metal Gear Solid series. Would recommend it to give it a try for new players.

Fantastic end to the MGS series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Phantom Pain has by far the best gameplay of the entire MGS series. The open world approach to missions allows you to tackle objectives in a variety of ways with numerous weapons and tools. Story is more sparse than previous games but there are audio tapes to fill in gaps left by the reduction in cutscenes.

Open world stealth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Large open world with TONS and TONS of missions and side missions. If you can imagine a way to infiltrate and complete an objective, there is a way for you to do that in the game. Very satisfying if you like to flex your creative muscles. Online multiplayer was just added recently as well, so it's good value.

MGS V the last Hurrah for Metal Gear
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is huge, spent hours on it already and only 7 percent done. Graphics are superb, and controls scheme is smoother compared to Ground Zeroes. My only quirk with this game is , so far in my game play, there isnt as much cut scenes or story as with previous games. Hoping that progresses more in the game.

Fantastic open world game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure of what I was getting into when I bought MGSV, but it wasn't what I got out of it. Multiple hours into the game, I'm barely scratching the surface of the story. There's a ridiculous amount of side missions to do and a varied open world to explore. Definitely recommend this to any videogame fan!

Very engaging stealth-action game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has the best controls of any MGS game to date, especially for anyone unfamiliar with other games released in the same era as the older games. There are also multiple ways to complete objectives, as well as a marking system to keep track of enemies and objectives. Overall a very solid, intuitive game.

Fantastic Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the perfect stealth game. The gameplay mechanics are perfect and there are so many nuances to everything. The only area this game lacks in is a story. It obviously has one but it feels disjointed because of the way the missions are set up. But overall a blast to play and one of the year's best.

A hideo kojima game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! What can I say. Kojima made a masterpiece once again. This game is absolutely beautiful. The graphics, sound, gameplay, and of course story line. So much.going on in this game. Well worth the 60 bucks. Playable for years. I got it on day one and it's been 4 days I've played and only 3% complete.

Timeless.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even if you have zero interest in the story of this series, the gameplay alone makes the game worthwhile, easily one of the best if not the best sandboxes ever made. Combined with the fantastic controls and openness to the missions, this has endless amounts of time to invest, and well worth it.

Extremely Enjoyable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mgs 5 is exactly what I expected and more. The gameplay is very fun and the replay-ability is very high. The game is open world and missions can be done how ever you choose. All in al its a very good game and it surpassed Mgs 4, a game that I've beaten multiple times and never got bored of.

Endless possibilities, tough learning curve
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've put roughly 10 hours into MGSV so far and am really enjoying it. It's a very deep game with lots of menus. It's always teaching you some new mechanic and evolving its open world-stealth gameplay. If you've been a fan of the series or are a fan of stealth in any way I highly recommend this game. If the thought of open-world mechanics sounds like a chore (I don't blame you) give it some time for it to wear off and then come back after a price drop. I think there's something here for everyone.

Best Metal Gear Yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is easily the best playing MGS ever. The game is a gigantic open world to roam around in, and incredibly loaded with content. It plays like a modern game, but still retains the quirkiness of past MGS games. This will go down as one of the best games of this generation of consoles.

Very fun tactical shooter game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first time playing a mgs game, and the graphics are beautiful, and the gameplay is interesting. The open world is like GTA, crafting like far cry or assassins creed, and shooting/combat like splinter cell. This game has been getting 10/10 rating from gamers and i couldnt agree more.

This game is 2legit2quit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really though it's beautiful, has an intriguing, yet also convoluted story, and hours upon hours of gameplay. I've spent probably close to 15-20 hours and i'm only maybe halfway done with chapter 1. Not to mention FOB missions and side ops. Definitely worth a buy. A Hideo Kojima Game

So Far, It's a Masterpiece
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't finished the game. I will write another review when I have finished the main campaign as well as more side ops. However, I am so satisfied with this game that I wanted to give it a "first impressions" review. Whether you are new to the MGS franchise, or a veteran fan, you will have a lot of fun with this game. Gameplay offers you so many options, and different ways to tackle a mission. The game itself is huge. If all you did was play through the main missions and a few side ops, you would spend many hours with this game. If you do the 150 side ops, and take advantage of the incredible replay value by going back to previous missions to accomplish more goals you may have missed the first time around, getting S rank, recovering materials for your mother base, etc, you could put a few hundred hours into this game. The mother base activities are like a whole other game. There is a lot to do, and it all rewards you in the main gameplay. So far, I give it a 10/10.

Awesome game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure how the open world was going to work out with metal gear, but I was surprised at how well it does. I like being able to pick my missions and the time that I like to run them. The story is very well done and the characters are engaging. Looking forward to completing this.
