This is an amazing game, I only wish David Hayter had returned for the last game in the series. But, overall, this is the best game in the series by far. A remake of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 would be nice though. ;) this is a must buy for any Metal Gear Solid fan out there!

Definitely glad I picked this up. I love the open world design and being able to build your own base is awesome. Each mission I've done so far has taken me between 1-2 hours each so this is not a game that you can accomplish much in a short time frame. But there is a freeroam mode that allows you to go where you want and do what you want....which I spent 3 hours doing last night. Love the stealth aspects of the game. It's not easy mode trying to capture all the guards unnoticed.

Fantastic from the get go. Best intro and most intense opening level ever. I can't stop thinking about playing and exploring this massive world. Very addicting and time consuming...don't forget to eat! Gorgeous graphics and very good gameplay and enemy AI. Highly recommended!

As a Metal gear fan since Metal Gear Solid I am not biased by saying that this is THE BEST Metal Gear Game. As soon as you think you've mastered it another portion opens up, but you don't have to be a fan, it might even make you want to play the rest of the games however.

very cinematic, as expected hideo delivers another masterpiece unfortunately this will be the last game that I support Konami due to the removal of hideo kojima and the cancellation of silent hill. Nonetheless top notch game with the stealth and tactical espionage action!

More like Peace Walker but the game play, graphics, story....everything so far - just outstanding. I love the freedom to choose how to go about a mission but it is a bit overwhelming at first. Base building and development is addictive.....and the game play in general

If you're a fan of the MGS series, this is a must get it's an open world environment. You take on missions in this huge world, you can either go stealth or just rambo your way and finish the mission. The game is long and there are tons of mission. Tons of replay value.

Great game, I can't give this game enough praise. It can be played stealthy like all classic Metal Gear games or you can go guns blazing. There are so many side quest and missions in this game to keep you busy for at least 100 hours. Best game of 2015 in my opinion.

This game is definitely my pick of game of the year. I bought it on ALL platforms and the amount of content you get in this game and the scale of overwhelmingly great. Familiar with the series or not it is still a must own and very easy to pick up and play. MUST BUY!

This is another great addition to the metal gear franchise. The gameplay and graphics are great. Although if you are a long time metal gear solid fan you will be disappointed in the story. They have strayed away from heavy story telling and focused more on gameplay.

Not to get in much detail for spoilers but the game is indeed worth the time as is a very long story, you play as big boss basically a remake of the old 1980 game but this time is in a whole new and very detail story line, if you are a fan you won't be disappointed

What can I say other than he is the KING! Sorry about the bitter parting between him and Konami. The culmination of the Metal Gear Series is seen in this classic. Stealth, run and gun, you decide how to do a mission. One of the best games I have played.... ever.

I have Ethan played all Metal Gear games and this one is up there in my top 3. The amount of content you get is incredible. There is so much to do and once the online portion comes out on October 6th you will have so much content for 60 bucks. Well worth the price!

If you don't play Phantom Pain, you will be missing out one of the most well made games in gaming history. What Kojima does that for unknown reasons other devs fail to do is create amazing game mechanics. This game is feature-rich, beautiful, and highly replayable.

This game had stellar reviews, and as a lifelong MGS fan, I had high expectations. This game far exceeded those expectations! The quasi-open world gameplay is truly innovative and the level of complexity is astonishing. Great game for everyone, not only MGS fans!

Talk about a game that has lived up to it's HYPE. With all the games being released these days there are very few that live up to what they present themselves to be, if you are a fan of this series or even if you haven't played MGS in the past this is a must get!

In an open world Metal Gear game, you can approach missions in numerous ways, no two gameplay are the same. You will have fun playing this game, being stealthy as always is the best way to play, but then there's a day-night cycle, and sand storms. The main story can about 30 hours or so to complete, then there's side missions to do, as well as multiplayer. It's the Best Metal Gear game I've played, because it's open world, and if you love open world gameplay, with a stealthy approach, you will love this game. I brought the game on sale at Best Buy for $20, so I'm ecstatic.

I've owned and played almost every metal gear game. Needless to say I'm a fan of the series. MGS 5 is a great game. You can choose to approach each mission as you see fit. You can sneak around, run and gun, use vehicles, have your allies help you. Get this game!

First off, it's a Kojima game so does it really need a review? That being said, if you're a fan of open world games then this is the game for you. The game is loaded with so much content and so many hours of game play. I'm 30 hours in and only at 4% completion.
