1. EVERYONE has to play the first mission of this game ("Prologue"). It's one of those rare moments in gaming when you actually FEEL like you're the character. It's very graphic, though, so I wouldn't sit the entire family around the TV for this one. 2. I just finished Far Cry 4 and this has a lot of the same elements in it. For instance, when "attacking" an installation I spend some time "tagging" the enemies with my binocular just like I did in Far Cry 4. 3. Graphics are the best I've seen yet on Xbox One. 4. Very elaborate controls, in my opinion - almost to the point of being confusing. Lots of "Hold down the D pad while pressing the left button while selecting AND pushing down with the R analog stick" kind of stuff. Still not used to it all. 5. The story is solid and the voice acting is great! 6. I like the "Mother Base" component to the game. It's a great way to customize and pick the equipment you want without adding too much management overhead. 7. It's kind of "open world." It's not nearly as open as Skyrim or something like that where you literally can just go do whatever you want. Great game. Glad I bought it. Look forward to MANY more hours of enjoyment.

Lots of negative talk about the lack of story. For me MGS4 had too many non interactive cutscenes; so many that it interrupted the flow of the gameplay. MGSV is the opposite. Best gameplay from the series hands down. I couldn't put it down. Logged in 55 hours like it was nothing, and that's something I very rarely do these days.

I've played every single metal gear and just had to add this one to my collection! It's the best ever and I'll never give it up!

One of the best games I have ever played make sure you have a lot of time to give this game to really get everything out of it!

Game is great overall. Good balance of the stealth that older games in the series are known for but with a ton of new features like calling in a chopper and sabotaging defenses for a more action focused game. Unlike past games you don't feel punished if you take an action orientated approach. My one knock is that the Mother Base upgrade and research mechanic could have been balanced better, It takes a tremendous amount of time and resources to focus on base building and is almost a game in and of itself.

This MGS is what I've waited an eternity for. Well, not an eternity but long enough. Any MGS fan will not be disappointed

You're getting single player and online modes. Should last you a good while till you find a new game to play.

Metal Gear is a fun but tedious open world game that has a lot of repetitiveness and story that is unfinished.

If you ever enjoyed any of the other games in the series, you are definitely going to want to pick this up.

The Metal Gear Solid series has always been high quality fun, and this game is the pinnacle of that. More open than most of the games in the series, great stealth mechanics, and an interesting (if somewhat confusing) story make this game an instant classic. Definitely recommended.

Worth the purchase. Very long campaign and some of the best mechanics around. No reason not to buy this.
