This power cap added the necessary juice to keep my headlights from dimming when my subwoofer is blasting in the streets! Get it!

Works perfect on my KICKER 49PTRTP12 POWERED SUB. Also looks good and love the digital display.

I first purchased two units. They arrived in a bubble wrap envolope. One had massive dent in its side. One had a dent near the top. I tested them and the dents heated up so i decided too risky. Did a full return and waited another half werk for two new ones. They seem to ship separately. It arrived in the same bubble envelope. Package was yellowed and clearly beaten up. One bracket was broken so i made due with what was left since canister seemed fine. I installed it and it was next to two others of same type and size but the Bulz brand. Knowing everything matched i installed the first since it arrived first. Following instructions and using light bulb to charge then installing final wire. I noted it seemed to run a couple decimal points higher then the other two but knew that to be normal as no two are exactly identical to the decimal. About an hour of normal operations i was away from shop where my sound equipment is cleaning my BBQ grill and i heard an explosion from my shop. Thankfully i do have cameras and got it on record. My shop filled with toxic smoke and i was desperate to get the leads off the cap as that was all i could see. Canister and insides were gone. Once i got the wires safe i started my air filter systems and tried to purge air from shop so i could see. I found the canoster straight down but its core was gone. I found the core 6 feet away leaning up against my computer with my very expensive sport drone smashed over and under it. Destroyed! Computer seem to be ok but i lost in a second the Capacitor and a Drone i use in tornaments. Went to best buy and they said to call their main number to begin a claim. I will never buy any Brand but Bulz again for capacitor needs. First i know full well the voltage ratining and always stayed in that range. Second it was in standby when it happen. Third i am a computer and electrical technician and know how to install and use these components properly. I hope this helps. If i find where i can post the video and pics it is well worth a look.

It works great no worries about it pulling on your battery or alternator keeps the car in good shape while ultimately blasting your stereo.

This was a much needed boost in power. Most people don't understand their use, the rule of thumb is one for every 150 watts you have. Keep that in mind when you buy it, use it like it's meant to be used and you'll be just as happy as I am.

Purchased through Best Buy Clearance for $20.00. At this price point this is a 5 star product. Capacitor seems to be of good quality and works as described.

I have had two of these capacitors in my car one with my old subwoofers and amp and now with my new kickers and Kicker Amp. Works great, especially at night when you are using your headlights and you don't want them to dim or also your car battery to die!

I haven't connected it yet but I've seen videos on YouTube that work well. I hope it works for me.

It works, 30 seconds before the storm roles in I burn a lot of oil in my car and the power fails. With this item the radio reboots (turns back on) after 5 - 11 seconds of blacked out screen. I don't have to press any thing a the vehicles don't stall out any more since I installed it. Now I'm the one driving home with all the kid when my neighbors and I get caught outdoors 20 - 30 seconds before the storm.

Works good as it should id recomend to any one dealing with dimming lights when bass hits.

I was skeptical at first about getting a Cap for my car. Many websites say it takes away the bass from the system and that it really isn't helpful with preventing the lights from dimming. After installing: first drive around town, still saw a little dim of lights and bass sounded sort of different; second night, lights didn't dim and bass was the same as before. In conclusion, caps do help with the lights and are also a fun accessory to have for your amp setup.

Does what it’s supposed to do and well. Definitely recommend this especially for the quality and price.

I ordered 2 of these for my vehicles, and hooked them up, everything is correct, I have been doing this for years, I decided to give these a try in the meantime while my others are being repaired. So I took one out of its packaging, and started to hook it up, powers off everywhere, I get it setup. And immediately I start smelling that wire/weird smell of burning wires. Except they weren’t on fire just yet as I caught it before it started to catch a flame. It did melt down some of my positive side terminals more than the negative, and even started giving me wrong number readings for what it should be/advertised to be at. I believe this is a waste of time and money for anybody involved, maybe if the upgraded version is working for others, why even sell these ones then? I get they are cheap, but not cheap when it burns a whole car to the ground. I believe these should be tossed away into the trash “which I will be doing when my original ones come back” and disposed of properly. Save yourself the trouble, and don’t go cheap! You want to have a safe and sound “literally” setup, then you CAN NOT cheap out on these sorts of things. Always make sure you’re not overworking any of your own equipment when doing so. Thanks for the opportunity to share my opinion, and thoughts on this product.
