I was definitely skeptical about purchasing this mouse as I've never seen anything like it before. That and as an owner of a very busy digital marketing agency in south Florida I use the Internet very heavily...I have to say the Arc touch mouse stands up to the test....It's extremely responsive as well as speaking from an ergonomic point of view is extremely comfortable in my hand. Overall I give the Arc mouse by Microsoft a 10 out of 10...pricing was fair to IMO.

I love this mouse. There are several cool features. The best being that when you are not using it, it flattens for easy storage, and makes traveling easy. I like the adjustability of the height. The bluetooth works seamlessly with my Surface Pro 3. Cons - I would like the scrolling feature to be a little more sensitive, but I would purchase this again in a heartbeat. More expensive than other mouses (mice?), but worth it!

I bought the Microsoft - Arc Touch Bluetooth first but had to replace with with this one since the other one doesn't work on Windows 7. This device worked well as expected and had no issues installing the driver in Windows 7. Looks good and materials seem to be of great quality. Love that it runs off when you flatten it.

I really like this mouse but I don’t love it. The wheel scroll feature doesn’t work with some drafting and graphics programs where you really need an actual wheel for panning and zooming. If you don’t have any specialized needs, this is a great mouse. I do love the look and feel of it as well as how it can collapse flat for storage. Unfortunately, if you use your computer for architectural design or drafting, it’s not a good match.

I bought one of these for my SurfacePro a few years ago and loved that it was flat for travel ergonomically perfect for use. When I replaced my SurfacePro, the Bluetooth connection of the mouse was kind of flaky with the new laptop so I bought this version that has the small USB dongle. I use it on my MacBook ( I like to right click) and Windows laptops and it flawlessly transitions between them. Everyone that sees my mouse and is a business traveler wants to know where they can get one. I wish that Microsoft would make a version that also includes a laser pointer and functionality to use the buttons to advance presentation slides. In the flat (off) position, this would also work well as a presenter.

Great Mouse for Travel

I hate using the touchpad for long periods so I need a mouse for travel that is small enough to pack yet big enough to comfortably use. I tried many travel versions and they were too small. This one lays flat while not in use and bends for use. Couldn't be happier with it. If I had to give it a con, it would be the touch scroll is not as responsive as a real roller.

This mouse is easily portable which is the main reason for my purchase. I find the scroll bar to behave slightly erratically (compared to a wheel). The right and left click buttons perform less well near their outer edges. I would not use this as my primary mouse at home.

If you need a mouse that easy to use and small that you can put in you back pocket this the mouse for you. Saves battery when it is flat and very nice design for laptop users.

I really like it! It folds up nicely to fit into a computer carry case without being bulky. It operates as well as a regular mouse minus the center scroll. My only issue is with the center scrolling which works but just not as well as an actual wheel to roll in the fingertip. But I'm getting use to it.

This mouse is Fantastic!! I'm an electronics tech and my first ever impression was that the connectivity was going to lag, but not one bit. It stays connected, it's is very smooth and the design is just awsome. Fits right into my laptop bag and is so convenient with the arc folding feature. Definitely recommend this mouse.

I have had this Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse for almost two months, and thought that was a fair amount of time to give an honest evaluation.
For the most part I really like using this mouse, it is the first "premium" mouse I have owned. Just for reference I purchased this on the "Deal Of The Day" for less than half price. For what I paid it was a steal, but It would not be worth anywhere near full retail price.
Loves:
1. QUIET L/R BUTTON CLICKS!!!!
2. Beautiful sleek design
3. The middle touch strip (when it works)
4. Great tracking
5. unperceivable lag with average daily use
6. great battery life
Hates:
1. The middle touch strip (when it doesn't work right)
2. Software needed to customize functions
Basically the mouse functions as a mouse should with great precision and customizability. The middle touch strip is what I want to really like, but can't, as it doesn't always function as it should. but flattening it to turn it off and then opening it back up to turn it on usually fixes that. The software is another story, great in theory, but it is hit or miss on whether or not the settings you change will be applied or not.
Anyways other than those 2 little quirks, this is the nicest mouse I have ever owned.

After using this mouse for a few days, I absolutely love it, it is a cat's meow.
This is one great design and very comfortable in my hand.
It is so compact and I like that when flattened out, it shuts off.
There are no cumbersome buttons to have to switch off, just push it down and it is off.

we have a number of these and all have a useful application for mostly laptops we have. Don't use these with desktops but wouldn't mind if they weren't so expensive. I have a Bluetooth version that I occasionally use with one or both of my tablets. GREAT, no the BEST for travel use we've ever used.

I use this on a daily basis for meeting and work stuff. While it's great for those part time this, I find it hard to use it on a more permanent basis. Over all well built, battery life is great and storage is even better.

This mouse is very sleek. Keep in mind, if you have a surface pro 4, its only 1 usb port will be used up, by the mouse's bluetooth reciever. This is not a problem though with an adapter for the surface pro 4 which can provide 2 or more ports for usage depending on the adaptor or hub of your purchase. But back to the mouse. It feels great in the hand after hours of use, and I would say the only real drawback is the scrolling feature. It scrolls well, but the touch scroll takes a little getting use too. Overall, the surface mouse is sleek, easily portable, and unique in design with its foldability. Enjoy!

This is my favorite mouse I’ve ever used. I have one for my house and another for my desk at work. Works smooth and don’t have to remember to flip a switch to turn it off at night to save battery - just snap it flat and it’s turned off.

This mouse is awesome. Very portable obviously with the folding feature, and the magnetic usb piece is awesome. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it. I actually prefer this version over the newest Microsoft Arc mouse. This one has the dedicated scrolling section that lets you know exactly where you need to place your finger to scroll, and it provides haptic feedback.
The scroll piece also divides the left and right click buttons which is a big advantage over the newer version that has one large touch pad. I found that I had to lift my left finger off the pad when right clicking or else I would left click more than 50% of the time even when my right finger was making the click.
The Bluetooth version (the first “surface edition”) would have been nice to have, but I couldn’t find it for a reasonable price (no longer made since Microsoft has a newer version). The usb version is actually more useful currently though as I not only use it with my Surface but also with devices that don’t support bluetooth only connectivity. I don’t mind using the only usb slot on the surface for it since my files are stored in the cloud, and I’d be using the display port for any connections with a projector.
