This mouse is very compact, and goes everywhere, have been using it for quite sometime with no issues at all. Works great with my surface pro.

The mouse is comfortable when using and portable which is handy when needing to use my devices at different locations. It's definitely a good purchase if you do lean towards using a mouse; but if portability of it is not that important then using any other mouse would be just as good.

I love that I can travel with this and it doesn’t take any space. I love that when it is collapsed I know it is off. I used to go through many batteries with my old mouse because I would forget to turn it off. Now I just slap it closed in celebration of the end of the day.

I've had MS Arc mice for a while and this newest model is really nice. It is BT, so will work with anything that supports that, not just the Surface. It takes a little getting used to with the touch surface on top serving left, right and scroll functions, but it is a short learning curve. My favorite feature is that it turns on and off based on the configuration. Off if you snap it flat for storage/travel, on if you snap it curved for use. Makes the battery last way longer than remembering (or forgetting) to turn off the switch under other BT mice.
Thanks for the thoughtful review. We can tell you put a lot of effort providing the community with details of your experience, and we're thrilled you have such great things to say! We're happy to have you as a loyal Surface customer.

I got this with my Surface Pro 2017. I already have LOTS of wireless mice, but what sold me on this was the ability to fold completely flat. Being that my whole thought process behind getting the Surface was portability, this made sense. What I didn't know was that folding the mouse flat turns it off! Great feature. My only complaint is that when being used, only the tail end and the front end are touching whatever surface it's on, and effectively gives you a smaller "footprint" for the mouse to recognize. Also, because there's a slight curve on the corners, the mouse will 'rock' unless you hold it perfectly flat, and that's why I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars.
We're delighted to hear that you're loving the fold-flat feature of the Surface Arc Mouse. We appreciate you calling out this great feature for the community! We'd like to hear more about the "rocking" you are experiencing with your mouse. I previously had a Logitech wireless mouse, which I loved. When I bought my new Surface laptop, I decided it was time to upgrade my mouse as well. The Surface Arc Mouse is REALLY cool. The fact that you turn it on and off just by adjusting it's shape is mind-blowing already. Add to that, that it's a bluetooth mouse, and I don't need a little wireless nub to connect it to my computer--Amazing! I'm still getting used to the feel of this mouse, but I am happy I upgraded...well worth the price!

I've used Arc mice for years. The scroll pad they used to have was nice and I liked the feedback when scrolled, but the newest generation works great.
The mouse still folds nice and flat, and the arc when it is on makes it a very natural mouse to use.
The material covering the body of the mouse is nice to the touch. I will see how it looks after additional travel and use, though - I suspect it will get dirty looking, but so far it looks great and feels good.
You get a really good size device that stores and travels well. It is nicely designed and feels solid while staying very portable.
We're thrilled to hear you've been enjoying your new Surface Arc Mouse! We always love to hear from the community on what their favorite features of our products are, and we appreciate you sharing yours. We hope your Surface Arc Mouse continues to delight you!

If you're looking for a travel mouse that packs flat and only have one device it needs to link to, The Surface Arc mouse is very nice. Folding it flat turns it off and curving it turns it on. The click surface responds well and allows features like scrolling without issue. Syncing to your device is similarly easy, with an easy-to-use button.
However.
If you have multiple devices, there's no way to swap between them. For me, this is kind of a PITA, as I have a work laptop, client laptop, and personal 2-in-1.

This is the best mouse for travelers. The way it flattens out makes it ultra-portable. I don't like trackpads and having this at my side means I'm never forced to. Its batteries last a long time and it never fails to connect.

Absolutely love this mouse. Great for traveling when you’re trying to reduce bulk. If I had one critique, it would be that I wish it wasn’t battery powered, but I understand even that because it means you don’t have to rely on it holding a charge. Got this and the OriMouse and MUCH PREFER THIS.
