Good overall keyboard! Very nice and compact and stays connected via bluetooth very well. got a small keyboard riser on amazon that fits it perfectly to rise it up for better typing. I love that you can connect it to 3 different devices and just click a button to change connections. I dont travel with mine which is kind if what this was made for but still if i did it would be great. very small and light but extremally well made. It is a bit expensive but you can get it on sale or get a openbox excellent one for cheaper.

I like the small size and I don’t miss the number pad. It connected easily with my desktop and mouse. The only thing I would change is the brightness of the keys…they are hard to see in dim light.

I recently purchased this amazing Keyboard and I am mesmerized by the experience. My current job involves a lot of typing activity and I was looking for a keyboard that I can connect to at least 2 work laptops. Microsoft Keyboard allows me to pair with 2 of my work laptops and the connectivity is seamless. I am thrilled and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND all those who want to setup their home office where laptops can be kept aside and work using dual monitor setup. This compact keyboard will make your work experience worth it!!!

This compact keyboard from Microsoft works very well, it is very comfortable to type on and the battery life is spectacular. I use it to work with a Surface Pro 7 because it's more comfortable than working with the Surface's built-in keyboard, especially if I'm working with a monitor. The size of the keyboard is excellent for traveling with it, it is light, thin and a good size. The size of the keyboard does not make typing difficult. The construction materials are of good quality.

YAY!!!!! THANK YOU Microsoft!! I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a mini keyboard that feels good and solid, is comfortable to type on, and basically doesn't stink! I need one for my shoulder! Having the number pad on the right and the mouse to the right of that is just NOT ergonomically correct for a right-handed mouser with shoulder issues. My goal was to find a keyboard that I like to type on that doesn't have that design - so the mouse is really close to the letters and you don't have to be constantly R-E-E-A-A-C-H-I-I-I-I-I-N-G for it. Well I looked EVERYWHERE. And bought (and returned) bunches of keyboards. And they all felt like cheap, plasticy, mushy toys. I was about to give up. I type all day, and I love to type, and I was ready to stop looking for a keyboard that was fun to type on. I had even settled on one (which will now be sent back.) I looked ONE more time, modifying my google phrase just a bit, and found the Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard! Phew!! It IS made of plastic, but it's good hard plastic. And they keys are comfortable and satisfying to type on (at least for me.) It's neat that it pairs with 3 devices - although I think I'm just going to buy a second one for my home computer. My only complaint is that it lies too flat - it doesn't angle up much and doesn't have those little feet. BUT - I have that complaint about all keyboards - even the ones that DO angle up. Those little feet are never angled up enough for me, and they always end up breaking anyway. So I retract that complaint. I always end up taking a paper towel tube, and kindof folding it up longways, then put tape around it to hold it into place, and then put tape sticky side out around it to make it stay in place and stick to the back of the keyboard. That's not part of this review - that's just a tip. :) I have thoroughly enjoyed typing this review - since I love this keyboard - and I have a little ego satisfaction for being maybe a little clever (or not - but it was fun!) I'd better get back to work. YAY Microsoft!!!!!

Small, light, easy to use Bluetooth keyboard. It uses the coin batteries instead of a rechargeable internal battery. However, that also means that the battery is user replaceable so the longevity of the product should be good. Anyone who uses a Surface keyboard should be very familiar with the layout of the keys. Since it's a small (and thin) size product, it's best to note that for larger hands, it might be cramped. And it will take some practice to use one-handed, if that is your thing.

Absolutely the best wireless keyboard I’ve ever had. I’ve had it for almost a month now and I love it. I was a little skeptical about purchasing this wireless keyboard. However, after using this keyboard I’m more than delighted I did. I had no problem syncing the keyboard with my Microsoft Surface. I can write longer and it’s easier to fix and or adjust mistakes on this keyboard. No lag when typing. I highly recommend it.

Love it. A tad smaller than I would have liked, and if you go AFK (away from keyboard), it takes a second or two to recognize the key input, but that's only when the keyboard has been sitting idle without being used. While using it, there's no issue at all. Pretty responsive. Takes a couple of watch batteries, because it's not rechargeable......but honestly, with up to 36 months of battery life on those batteries, I don't mind changing them out for new ones every couple years. Once a rechargeable keyboard battery is fully depleted and can't be used any more, you have to get a new keyboard, with this one you can just change the batteries.......I personally like that feature, but I know not everybody will.

    I FOUND MY DREAM KEYBOARD!!!

If you want a compact, tenkeyless, chiclet-style keyboard, then this is the best option on the market right now. I've been looking for YEARS for this exact keyboard - that's like a laptop keyboard transported onto a desktop. But nobody has ever brought one to market that I liked. Also, just because it's created by Microsoft doesn't mean you can't use it with a mac! I'm using it with a mac right now and it works seamlessly after switching the option and command buttons in the keyboard settings. Previously, the only keyboard to come close was the Logitech K811 and K810, but those were discontinued years ago. I've tried the Logitech K380, but the circle-shaped keys took some adjustment and I found that it slowed my typing speed by 33%. I tried the Logitech MX Keys and the Surface Keyboard, but their large number pads that I never use were terrible for my own ergonomic preferences. I tried the Apple Magic Keyboard but it hasn't been updated for over 5 years and the clicky feel of the keyboard was a little too sharp on the fingers. The best keyboard for me until this moment was actually an Apple Magic Keyboard Case for iPad + Sidecar to a mac, but that's missing an escape key as well as the ability to command + tab, b, i, etc. (I dealt with it by remapping those options to my mouse...). As a programmer, my keyboard is probably the tool I use most often in my life. The fact that someone finally made my dream keyboard makes me life that much better. So to conclude my rant. If you want a great "laptop" keyboard for your desktop setup. THIS IS IT!
