    it had dirt and flakey pieces like crust meaning they didnt bother wiping it down a little, the inside had caked on dust which makes me think they didnt open it to fix.

    DO NOT BUY ANY GEEK SQUAD CERTIFIED REFURBISHED ITEMS FROM BEST BUY!!! I shop at Best Buy and have been a loyal customer to them for over 2 decades!! When I wanted to buy an Xbox for my friend for Veteran's Day i found a deal that was open Box....But was also Geek Squad Certified Refurbished. I thought this would be a safe purchase. I bought this back in may and then gave the gift this past Monday (11/11). When the unit was plugged in and turned on it did not power up. Pretty EMBARASSING. So i said i would take care of this. WHen I contacted Best Buy it was near impossible to get ahold of anyone. WHen I did reach a real person I was transferred 3 times and then was told since it was out of warranty they could do nothing about it. They told me to contact the manufacturer and I would have to pay for the repair. I bought this item because of Geek Squad's reputation, and when something is certified I would expect it to work! Their customer service has been poor and they will not back up an item they certified. I would avoid Best Buy in general and DEFINITELY avoid buying anything Certified Refurbished from The geek Squad because those words mean nothing!! Best buy just does NOT care!!!

    Be prepped to get a defective product. Got mine, booted it up, signed in and the wireless receiver inside the xbox is broken. Couldn't connect a controller. Was able to connect both of my controllers to my PC just fine, but the Xbox couldn't. You would think connecting a controller to the console would be a part of their refurbish process but I guess that was too much to assume. Their tech support is useless and now I have to drive to a Best Buy or a UPS to return. Waste of time. Poor experience.
