You need Microsoft Office if you collaborate with others on your documents or want your documents to be accepted almost everywhere else. My kids need to do their homework in Word and Excel and PowerPoint. What else could we do?

Software meets our needs. It took me awhile to find certain commands, but overall easy to accomplish my tasks.

So when I bought the new computer I realized Microsoft was now offering Windows as a monthly subscription fee type service. I do not want to pay a monthly fee, just wanted to be able to write and edit documents and open attachments on email. This was the most economical and useful option for me.

I was a little disappointed that computers no longer come with MS Office installed. My first computers had Windows and MS Office on them...now I had to purchase it extra. But, I use MS Word and Excel a lot. I have many projects on spreadsheets and lots of things that I "printscreen" and place in a document, along with creating many documents.

The one time office purchase is definitely the way to go. I bought this version for school, only because almost nobody requires the most up-to-date version of office. So, if you're looking to save some money (I believe the version will have an annual fee attached to it) I would choose this option. It is going to give you everything you need.

The installation was easy. This enables us to write documents more efficiently. It allows us to access school e-mails from my child's teachers. This program runs so much better than other office suites we've had in the past.
