Cord is fine- original to Laptop. Negative issue is that apparently the Surface power cord routinely fails within 2 years, so this equipment is poorly designed. Mine made it 15 months. Part @ $80.+ Not fun.

I was disappointed that I had to replace the power cord for my Surface Pro 4. Most devices usually have charging cords that last the life of the product.

These things go bad after 11-12 months. I am now buying my third which they don't even sell in the store anymore. The newer laptops use a higher wattage.

Had to purchase a replacement for my son's surface tablet as the original would no longer charge. Not very durable. I also had to get a replacement for my surface tablet as well.

I have had to replace this charger at least 3x! When it works, its awesome! But when it doesn't you will find yourself thinking there is something wrong with the actual laptop.

I believe microsoft did a poor job in manufacturing this charger. My original gave out on me and I tried to go thru microsoft warranty put the web page never worked.

I'm more surprised that the battery broke before the laptop itself. The battery does it's job but it was too expensive.

Does what it's supposed to power-wise, but the wires get twisted inside the sheathing near the magnetic connector.

This is an example of how MS scalps you on lost proprietary items. I had to pay way too much for this replacement power adapter.

I was disappointed that I purchased this item thinking it would fit my surface tablet t didn't specify which model number it would fit.

The product works but breaks quite easily. Not many choices out there if you have a surface. so.....

Get the higher wattage version. It won't overpower your computer. This one charges sooooooo slowly.

This was the second cord in two years. The longevity and quality of these cords is questionable

This is the 3rd power adapter in less than 1 year. The original one failed due to a shorted wire, the second power adapter developed a frayed wire leading into the brick. No issues with the Surface Pro, but the poorly designed power adapter will definitely influence my next tablet/laptop purchase

This is a power conditioner from the wall to the Surface Pro. Why is it so expensive? There is no reason for it to cost even half as much. $80 for a short power brick that has a rough time staying plugged into the Surface Pro if I so much as brush the cord with a mouse cable is ridiculous. Does it work? Yes. But I'm forced into buying it at extortion pricing.

I didn't like how it would make a high pitch buzzing noise, and it only lasted 8 months

I am on my 3rd or 4th power supply. There are no other choices because of it proprietary plug

We had to buy this replacement charger for our Microsoft Surface which we have only had for a year. The original one quit charging. Hopefully this one will last longer. Also, this was a costly replacement at $80.
