Nice and comfortable mouse with great feel

I have been an Intellimouse user for 10 years. After my second one started having scrolling issues, I decided it was time to hunt a new mouse. Did my research and check with my gaming sons and their choices, then it was pretty much a sure decision. I am plain dirt old and don't game but have been a computer techie since the TRS-80 model 1. This is a great mouse for me. It is solid in construction like they used to feel. The scroll wheel is detented nicely and smooth to move. The buttons have been relocated from the old intellimouse so you don't accidentally hit the page back button when reaching for the mouse, plus the force needed to press it is more pronounce and you have to intentionally press this now. As for the right and left click buttons on top they are crisp and right on the money for accuracy. As for the aesthetics, the shape is more ergonomic and comfortable. The "taillight" it better looking and for a difference there is no light under the mouse for the sensor. Used to the old red laser and was surprised to see no light. Much more accuracy with the pointer now and it is fully adjustable as is all of the buttons and pointers through the Microsoft downloadable control panel for the mouse. You can make it just how YOU want it to function. All in all, this is well worth the money and you will NOT be disappointed with this mouse. Can't say how it works for gaming but for business and internet work, it is about as perfect as can be.

Pro: The software to configure the mouse is clean and easy to use. I was impressed. Con: This mouse is gigantic and very heavy. I would only recommend this mouse to you if you are The Sasquatch.

Wore a groove into the thumb area almost immediately. I only bought this like a year ago, but the groove started so quickly, maybe 3 months? It's not like a nice soft groove either there's like a bunch of layers and you can feel them and it's gross.

The perfect mouse. Had this when I was a kid. Going back to it now, I've recognized every mouse I had since the original I just wanted to replicate this feel. The only thing I can't get with this mouse is sheer number of keybinds I can on an MMO mouse. Make sure to download Microsoft's Mouse and Keyboard Center if you want to customize the light, DPI, and all that (took 1 pt off for ease of use because of this manual step).

    Feels great in your hand

What I don't like about some other precision gaming mouse are that I feel like there are too many buttons on the mouse. This is a sleek, easy to use, accurate mouse with minimal buttons. I love it, and love the little led light on the bottom

Worked for a week, then died

Feels nice, but it only worked for about a week. I tried multiple computers, but the mouse does not work. There was an announcement about an extended return period due to covid, but that does not seem to be the case anymore.

    Soft rubber side wears off

    Posted .

The soft-touch rubber side starts to deteriorate after a few months, leaving a rough surface. PAIN in the butt to get MSFT to replace it. Same thing will happen to the replacement. So be prepared to buy a new mouse after a year or less.
