Great mini computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Surface is light and easy to carry around. It's great for doing Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Once you get the hang of working with it, it is easy to use. The graphics are sharp.

Surfact RT...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.you have to know what you're buying and getting into. This runs on RT and is limited to what it does. Does not run legacy apps or silver light applications. I got this on Black Friday a couple years ago and used it for school and it served me well from typing notes to media such as netflix and hulu. Now there are better options such as the surface 3 or the chromebooks which i have.

Better than Ipad!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife got me this for Christmas during the Black Friday sale. Its super easy to use since it is Windows based. She also got me the keyboard for it which clicks right in. Its very thin and just the right size. Battery lasts all day easily with a fair amount of use. My wife has an IPad and says she wished she bought another Surface for herself because she likes it better!

If you want a value tablet, then you found one!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tablet PC, Yes,,, a PC in a the shape of a tablet. You can stream videos, remote desktop, work on word, powerpoint, save your own data.. apps where you can watch over 5000 movies for free... Now let us come to the Cons.. Interface, does not make you feel that you are working on a tablet. The resolution or screen clarity might have been better. You have to be content with the current Applications provided. If you are looking for a specific app, you might not find it.. May be the developers will soon be coming up with Apps on par with Google and I phone. On the whole, when you compare with the price being paid, and the features, you are receiving it is worth a buy, a value buy.. I already bought a IPAD2, IPAD with retina display. This thanksgiving, I was contemplating if to buy Samsung galaxy or a Windows.. I choose Windows and have no single regret... Go for it..

Great for Everything
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it. I use it primarily for school work. It was easy to set up, and comes with the full version of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. I am still learning the functionality of everything, but I love to watch Netflix on it as well.

Great to add SD card for larger storage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, it does exactly what I want it to do. The Pro is more for business people in my opinion. The only thing bad is that it doesn't have an ap for Java like the Pro. Why buy the bigger memory when you can add a larger SD card. It is easy to use if you know Windows 8 and even if you don't..I just love it for my purposes better than a regular table because of the operating system just like a laptop. The only thing outside of trouble with the screen darkening at times is that the power cord comes out too easily if you are using it while charging like a laptop.

Very functional.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this product. Very light and sleek. Feels like a tablet with the functionality of a laptop. Only downside is the App Store. Which is understandable and is getting bigger and bigger everyday.

great tablet for a beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this tablet so far. You can't have some of the apps though as the store is limited. But it works great for a college student, it has word and just the right size to use the internet. The screen and the usability is why I chose this tablet.

Great tablet for students
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tablet because i wanted to be able to have Microsft Office on the go. It works great for this but beware, if your man purpose is to buy this to replace your i-pad then do not even bother. Th app store has come a long way but still has years to go before it can reach apple's level. For Xbox fans, this tablet is great because certain games available in the app store have achievements that add to your xbox live profile.

Much easier to use than laptop or desktop machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the Surface Tablet meets expectations. It has built in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. However, the drawback is that other software programs will not install easily onto the tablet. I don't know if one can use a USB Flashdrive and install programs onto that. I think one has to install programs onto the SSID card? One has to remember that tablets will not replace a desktop. However this is good for people on the go who want to take programs along with them for a presentation.

Replacing My IPad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this with the idea of replacing my iPad with it because I'm really dissappointed in all of the IOS and Android MS Office alternatives. I liked it from the start. It's just like using my laptop, especially with the keyboard and a bluetooth mouse. Pull the keyboard off and in tablet mode it works just fine for the things I use a tablet to do. The battery life is impressive. I probably use it about 60-90 minutes a day and I actually went a week before I realized I needed to charge it. The iPad is for sale. My biggest complaint is with the type keyboard, the one with real keys. The keys are fine, but the touch pad doesn't feel right and is not responsive. It would be nice to use ALL of my windows apps on it, but I'm trying to adjust. The big ones I use, Quicken and Chrome won't work at all on the RT system.

A great tablet for a beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A nice compact size, easy to setup, good price, and it has a detachable keyboard, which I perfer the keyboard the tablet already has built in. When I received it for Christmas I was excited and I love it to this day!!! Great for traveling, great reception, and the screen is a perfect size. This tablet would be a great one for a beginner.

Just ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the best device I bought. The operating system is horrible, hard to setup printers. Can not install applications unless there is an app for it, Windows rt is a hateful creature! This is a replacement device as the first one no longer was charging 1week after purchase. I use my kindle way more than the surface. For the price I bought it at, $199, it was a good deal. Features I like is it is easy to carry around, touch screen, integrated stand. All-in-all, would much rather gone with a laptop with better features and Windows 7.

Great Unit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a small light weight unit that really works well. The unit has a usb port that allows you to connect other devices such as cameras, thumb drives, etc. It is loaded with office right out of the box. It loads apps extremely fast. I am very pleased with this unit. The only thing I recommend is upgrading to the better keyboard.
