this is what I call " the replacement " . Yes, I do use this tablet everyday now and my IPad has become my "second choice". The fact that I can use this tablet and have Microsoft office at my finger tips closed the deal. Highly recommended if you have use it for work! User friendly once you get to watch the instructional videos. Lots of features! I just love it!

I love it!! I use it for school and home. I got apps that allowed me to watch my favorite tv shows, I use it for writing papers, it has a USB port and lots of memory with the ability to plug in a sd card. It can be somewhat glitchy. Sometimes when I try to awaken it the screen won't turn on. Every once and awhile the keyboard won't work. This is all solved by a quick restart. All in all I really love it.

I bought this surface RT 32 GB because thanksgiving door buster, and will see and know very well about this surface, if I like it, I planning to buy another surface with the highest GB, I think the price pretty much $ 1,799.99. I not sure the specific item number. And I like the weight, size which is easy carry to long distance.

I have to say it's worth the price. Surface rt is good, from the screen quality, performance, to the ease of use. I don't play games very often, so it's okay for me. But I hope there will be more apps in the future anyway.

This is much more powerful and user friendly than the ipads I own. The ability to assign separate user accounts with unique apps and programs for each helps me keep things organized and I can limit the duration and hours of use for the children in my house. It would be nice to have 4g built in but it is nearly perfect for use in a wifi environment. I would move to the surface pro bit that seems to be a little too expensive for the features or convenience?

I am totally in love with the Surface RT. No longer do I have to lug around my huge laptop when I need to be able to do work away from work! The Surface RT offers the best features of my smartphone and pc, all package in managable and decent sized device. The only issue is that JAVA is not available...that's the main program that I need for doing orders for my job. However, I believe that a technology issue, not a Microsoft issue. I would definitely purchase or recommend this device for my friends and family!

had it since xmas and was up and running in no time. did buy a keyboard that made typing a lot easier tried a wireless mouse and it reconized it and was using it with no issues - setting up internet was easy and was able to download and upgrade to win 8.1 - have not had any problems so far, but only 2 weeks using tablet

Was easy to learn to use all its features very quickly. Love to take pictures with it. Am using it primarily for email access and to write a book. Can put what I am writing on Sky Drive and have access from my tablet or laptop. Bought the keyboard which I use all the time. It has been perfect for what I wanted to use it for.

I purchased this when the price was a very low $199, and for the price you can't beat it. I also purchased a touch cover 2 and this combination together makes for a great light use tablet. Understanding the limitations of Windows RT is key to making a purchase like this. It will never serve as man computer, and I'll never claim to purchasing it for this reason. I use this primarily for media consumption, email, and web browsing. Out of the box experience is a bit lacking, but once all updates are applied it works well. Some of the key limitations are due to the general lack of speed processor-wise, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I'm not sure I would have purchased this at regular price ($349), but as stated, at $199 it was very difficult to pass it up.

Bought the Surface for $200 a bargain for all its functionality and features. Easy to use the Windows 8 with touch screen and keyboard. Lightweight and screen is very bright and clear. Watching videos, checking emails, weather updates, and when I get the magnetic keyboard will enjoy using the included Office software.

I bought the Surface because of it's touch screen and the fact it had MS Office loaded. I live in Excel and is a must for me. Windows 8.1 took some time to get up to speed but getting there. It is great for travel!

Very good at basic computer tasks and has office built in. Does have lag times when you switch applications. Very portable and easy to take with you. I would suggest surface 2 or surface pro for better processor.

My Wi-Fi is out right now, so I haven't used it recently, but I like it when everything is working properly. The speakers are not that great. And I'm still trying to figure out how to work the camera. I need lessons! But the touch screen is nice -- I chose to save some money and NOT get the keyboard that you can purchase with it (silly -- having to purchase a keyboard) and haven't missed it that much. All in all a good tablet.

I bought this tablet for school purposes and it has not disappointed me so far. It's great for reading textbooks and doing online homework. Can be used to watch tv shows and movies as well. It's great for it's price and for students.

The surface tablet is great for taking notes, and it conveniently comes with Microsoft Office. The downside is it cannot run more than one program/app at once. For example, you open an app to play music, then you switch over to another app, and the music shuts off.

Excellent product for a student to bring into class, very user friendly and battery life is great. Microsoft offices work well in this tablet which are useful for students and speed is good too.

Got this on the Cyber Monday sale and I love it. Ease of use is great and I do a lot of traveling and this is my "Go to" device for entertainment and connectivity on. The road. Ended up buying two more for gifts! Got the keyboard cover also, great accessory and a must have for e-mails and communication.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. Once I updated ths OS to 8.1 the tablet worked faster and more reliable. If you don't like Windows 8 then avoid at all costs. Fortunatly my children have adapted to the latest Windows quite well. The battery life has been great as she had it out for three day playing videos, exploring, and use some of the office products. The only downfall was that it did not come with a keyboard. I was lucky and set it up a week before Christmas, just enough time to get one delivered. For under $200 and another $70 for the keyboard, it was an asume value.

The Surface RT is a great tablet that's thin, light and gets the job done fast. It comes with Office 2013 which interfaces with your other office suites on other computers. It loads webpages fast and running two apps on the same screen is a great idea! I highly suggest buying a keyboard attachment with this product.
