I bought this when I needed a new computer and would suggest it to anyone over an Apple product any day. Fast, reliable, portable the Surface Pro is a great machine. I can run Steam on this thing if I wanted to. Yes the app store isn't very good but who needs it when regular PC programs run on it.

Surface is like a lightweight laptop. Easy to learn operations

I had a tablet previously in a smaller size. I also own a laptop. The tablet size, 10.6, is perfect for reading, surfing, and playing games. I can use the tablet practically the same as I use the features of my laptop. This tablet is lightweight and has more functionality. Also the price was great.

I needed a tablet that had full productivity programs and one that I could send a document wirelessly to my printer. I also like the USB port for my wireless mouse and the keyboard that feels like I'm pressing keys instead of a touch pad.

for a tablet this is a great option just for the fact that you can add the keyboard and make it much more user friendly. very light on its own..and the 10" screen is perfect for watching movies. bottom line this is a great entertainment device....get it on sale now that windows has released the 2

At the recent price rollback, this is a great product to buy. It does everything (no more flash worries) and comes with Microsoft Office built in. It won't replace my iPad but when I need more, this is the perfect replacement for a laptop. Overall I would recommend this over amacbook etc. what ant do on an iPad, I do on this, and it gives me the best of both worlds.

So i bought this for my wife who needed a device she could take into her meeting and on Business trips. For $200, I got more than expected. it is easy to use and the battery life is great. Very easy for her to transfer presentations from her work computer to the Surface for easy and quick access.

I loved the way it works and the easy I can go from page to page without been distracted by the mouse since it's a touch screen. The memory it's excellent for the price compared to the ipad and the battery life it's about the same.

I would like a bit more instructions with the device. Navigation between screens when you have multiple documents or applications open is not intuitive. Very lightweight and easy to carry while traveling. Wish it used a standard charging cord instead of this unique charging device which must be carefully placed to work properly.

Overall this device is gonna do what you need for it to do whether its for business or entertainment purposes. More so this devices aims for business like tasks and performs great in doing so. To take full advantage of this you need to purchase the keyboard which is pretty costly. Although u can connect any Bluetooth keyboard to this device its recommended because of the track pad. There is no other tablet out their in the market right now that can compete with the surface mainly because of how unique it is. Acting as truly a tablet /computer other than its predecessor the Surface 2. Designed for college students this tablet is like no other. Versatile and a sleek design to go along with it.

Great for the person who is not tech savey and already used to using Windows OS. Size and quality of screen is good. A better tutorial is needed for the less tech savey users. Over all rating 4 out of 5

This is a great tablet for those who need a little more than what most other tablets do. I love that all the basic microsoft office tools are on it. It's like a a mini computer or netbook. Its larger than most tablets but not too large. Super convenient and a great price for what you get.

I bought this tablet for use in college and I am very pleased. I love that some office 365 came installed.

I am very pleased with the screen size and clarity of screen. Still learning how to use it . Haven't reviewed all the features yet. I wish that more instructions had come with the product. We are learning by trial and era. It would be better if we had an instruction booklet to review when we had questions. I know we have the Geek Squad to back us up but some in hand instructions would be beneficial.

This was a great purchase at an even better price. The screen is huge for a tablet, 10.6", and the clarity is remarkable. Didnt know what to expect with a windows tablet, but ive been pleasantly surprised. The only real Improvement needed is more apps to compete with apple and android.

I bought this for my 12 year olds son as a xmas gift. Got it on black Friday for 199.00 so I think its great for the money. He uses it primarily to surf the web and play online games. He can also use it for schoolwork. I think for the money spent it is a great deal. Very easy to use and no need to buy all the extra expension software because it is conveniently already loaded. Even came with a antivirus protection. Would definitely recommend to others.

I had previously purchased an iPad, but returned it after 1 week because it didn't have ms office. I didn't realize that I used ms office that much. I've had an iphone for 4 years and thought the ipad could be an expansion of my iphone experience, but I found that I would go to my pc as much or more as before I got the ipad. Now, with the Surface, I have the same access as I do with my desktop. I've been liberated from my desk. I was able to use use it right out of the box, without extensive reference to the user's guide, the battery life is great (with fast recharges too), and the kickstand allows reading without costly accessories. The only downside for me and my fat fingers is the very sensitive touch interface, but my accuracy is improving after 4 weeks of use. The Best Buy team was great in helping with the initial selection and when I came into the store with what I thought was a problem with starting (I didn't read the instruction manual at all).

Was pleasantly surprised when I saw the screen on my new device. Very clear and sharp colors. Great price for the programs that came with it. I went out of town for the holidays and ended up using my RT every day. I was able to access my bank accounts easily, find a recipe I needed, take nice pix of my family and stay entertained and informed with the pre- programmed news apps. My other half has a Samsung Tab and does have a much better selection of apps. So we could not compete on one of his word games long distance. Otherwise, I would recommend this product. Would have liked to buy a custom sized case for this also. I ended up with the bag made for a chromebook.

Purchased for my daughter in high school, she absolutely loves it. She said everybody at school was jealous, they all have iPads. One of the class assignments needed to be done in excel and she was the only one who could do it in class! Wireless keyboard we purchased with it fits perfectly in the sleeve with the tablet.

Excellent Tablet, especially when used with the snap on keyboard. I use it to VPN in to work and remote desktop systems, also to browse the internet and also to play games when travelling. The tablet would be 5 out of 5 if only Microsoft did not lock it down so that you can only install Apps from the Microsoft Store. This makes it a bit hard to install applications which you may need for work and it may even make the tablet useless for some peoples intended use. If so then go for the Surface Pro which is not locked down. But if your main use is games and browsing and you don't mind getting your games etc from the MS Store then it will work great for you.
