I got this computer for my wife for Christmas to replace her current laptop. Works for a personal computer and came preloadded with Microsoft office which is nice. But when she tried to go to the built in shop to get some applications they did want to download, and it claimed it was not compatible even though it was in their shop. Very frustrating, know it will take some getting use to. Good computer, it just has it quirks thay will take some getting use to.

Great product! Recommended to all family and friends. Memory is not a issue with usb port. Charge is efficient. Amazing screen quality!

I really bought this for school and has been great when on the go and need to take a break to catch up with school projects and classes.

I've used a number of different tablets over the past couple of years and the Microsoft - Surface is my favorite. It is nice and portable but has all the features of a laptop. I enjoy the fact that it has Windows - Word, Excel, etc. right on it which makes it very compatible with transferring information from it to my computer.

great flexibility being able to switch from touch to keyboard combination makes internet travel faster and easier than just touch graphics are very crisp windows tiles are great organizers word and excel give it all around everything good with no limits but my camera will not open, need software assist

Light, easy to use, easy to store. Great touch screen. Fast speed and priced right. Would recommend for school, travel and home use. Love the Microsoft office and useful apps.

Best tablet I have owned, easily transfer files from one place to another, you can actually add and delete programs with out needing a computer. It comes with Microsoft works, so you can work with windows os.

This is great to use for presentations to a small group or individual. The only problem I have had is that it has to be recharged frequently. Other than that, it is very versatile and easy t use.

I am a first time tablet owner and was intrigued by the commercials on TV about the MS Surface RT tablet, how it compared to the iPad so thought I'd check it out at Best Buy. After receiving in-store assistance navigating my way around on it, I decided it was the tablet for me. I immediately also purchased a folding case, a neoprene case & screen protector so my investment was well-protected. From the time I got it home, set up, and now used it several times, I can honestly say I love it! I've used pretty much all of the functionality, including the camera, USB port (which is great to have!) and all have worked perfectly.

This is a great device. It's basically a computer in the form of a tablet. It has a clean look and the best part is that it has a usb port for a thumb drive. This was definitely worth the money.

It's easy for my kids to carry anywhere. The kids use it for school work and games. It has good battery life and is easy to set up anywhere or it can be used as a tablet.

Its an interesting device because it looks like a tablet, but its not a tablet, and there's good and bad in that. The good is that it can function as a tablet, not a laptop, so its much more convenient to pull out for something quick than a laptop. The bad is that its definitely heavier than a laptop, which is understandable, but kills a little of the convenience of carrying around a lightweight tablet when you're on the go or travelling. Its in-between the two, which I think was the intent, but I'm not sure the compromise is worth it in either direction. I think I'd rather have a laptop and a tablet rather than just a Surface... Easy to use though. No problems technically.

Bought this for my tech savy son on black friday for Christmas for $199.99 and being that there were so many other versions out which was way more expensive and more recently released I was afraid he'd be disappointed but he absolutely love this tablet. This is my son who had to build his own pc's so that it could handle his extreme gaming, he truly loves it! Couldn't have been happier Christmas morning and I have yet to see such a terrific price on it as I got ordering online black friday! There are a lot of things I do not know about this tablet because I don't use it personally myself but I know he loves it!

Bought the surface RT during Black Friday because it was $199.99. I intended to buy it to test it out and if I didn't like it, I'd return it, but I'm so pleased with it that I decided to keep it. Being a PC lover, I fell in love with the fact that it's windows. Also, microsoft office RT is already included which is wonderful for students and business purposes alike. Other tablets do not bring Microsoft Office and must be bough separately. The only thing that's not so great about it, is the fact that the keyboard is so pricey, but it really is worth it because it gives the Surface RT a laptop like feel.

I bought this computer for my daughter to complete basic school projects. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonably priced powerhouse that I selected. Since MS Office Suite (no matter the version) is typically expensive, I appreciated the fact that it was built into the price. I like the seamless conversion between "computer" and tablet. My daughter was concerned that she didn't have access to enough popular apps, as she expected to be able to use the Google Play Store. On my end, I wish the keyboard was built into the price as well. Despite our minor concerns, we are both happy with this purchase!

For my purposes, generally in class and at home schoolwork, there isn't a better tablet. However, if you are buying this tablet purely for fun, then you should know it lacks a lot of major applications and games. Overall the structure is fantastic and it seems very well made. It has been responsive and done almost everything I have asked of it. The battery life I has been very good as well, getting me through a full day of use easily.

It is a great size for taking to meetings but would be good to have a small case with straps to carry w room for mouse and flash drives.

Love the platform, size of screen, and battery life is good. I tether off my phone Galaxy S II and it works great. Some of the popular game apps aren't available.

Excellent for routine computer things. However, it is a little too restrictive. I have a wireless printer that is newer and the surface Rt can find it and read its status, but says it isn't compatible and will not print to it. That is Microsoft being a little too restrictive. If it can talk to the printer it should be able to print to it.

The Surface is an excellent tablet (we replaced an iPad and got this in it's place). It has most if not all features of the other tablets out there and has Microsoft office as well which is an amazing bonus. After about a week my wife had transitioned 100% off of the iPad and didn't use it again besides to sync her content before we sold it. They TypeCover that you can get is amazing (not a fan of the TouchCover though).
