I brought this thinking it was a laptop but in fact it is not. Most apps you can not download and the Microsoft store does not have most major apps. Overall, it serves its function of me being able to go online and do what I need to do. For the price I purchased it at, it definitely was a good investment.

I bought this for my 7 yr. old. She loves watching things on it. I like that there is lots of free apps for it. It is perfect for the this she needs/likes to do. Her 2yr. old brother likes to watch Tom and Jerry with her. And play Screen smasher. It is easy for her to use and understand.

The surface rt is overall a wonderful device that meets all the needs you would want from your laptop/tablet. The fact that it's both a tablet and a laptop makes it much more durable for you. My only complaint would be that it does have a tendency to lag when you try using your hands on the touchscreen.

My husband likes the layout of the screen. Very easy to use. Battery life seems to be quite good.

I'm a Mac person in a Mac family, but I find it useful to have access to a fresh, portable version of Office (not a fan of Office for Mac) for both business & personal reasons. Love that this gives me that option. It is also great for general browsing when my kids hijack my other devices to play games.

Overall for my purposes this tablet is exactly what I need. I can use my phone as a hot spot and use ever aspect of the tablet. The fact it has a USP port is amazing because you can do so much more and save room. I'd advise it for a friend.

Was hoping to use this as a replacement for my laptop. I liked the mobility of it and the screen size is great. Very clear screen (although I'm not very picky). Unfortunately the limitations of windows rt were too great so I returned it. However, if you are in the market for a good tablet, this is it.

Best product I bought so far. I like not having a modem and computer monitor in my spare bedroom. This is convenient and easy to use.

Great fun to use and I continue to be amazed at all the great things it can do. I look forward to traveling with it as it is very light. I bought a sleeve to protect it, and some ear buds and I am ready to go!

I have found that the Surface is a great product at an exceptional price, compared to the "other" pad. It comes with Microsoft Office Suite already loaded on it, so it works seamlessly as an extension of my laptop for presentations, documents and more. It integrates well with my other usb components and allows for easy transfer of data.

This device does it all. Everything I need including office. Works perfectly with my Xbox, windows phone and Windows 8 computers. With remote desktop setup the rare time I need to run a desktop app I just connect to my Windows 8 desktop.

Why would anyone buy an iproduct when you could get a Surface? Screen quality is amazing. Found all the apps that I could need. Office already loaded is amazing.

This is my first table and I love it. Its a little slow at time and you can't download programs but that's what the surface pro is for. Everyday I play with it I find something new so its not boring and hasn't got old. Window 8 take a little playing with to get use to because its not like window XP or windows 7 witch are very similar.

This is a great tablet and basic laptop. Even though you're limited to apps from the Windows store, if you only want to do the basics, the Surface is all you need.

Bought it and loved it right away Familiar operating system, easy to setup and use. Ties in my windows login, sky drive and x box gamer tag. Some great games can be played on it.

I own a laptop and an ipad for which I switch back and forth using which ever fits my needs while at school. The laptop's size can be an issue at times and the lack of productivity on the Ipad left me looking for something better. I have been using the Surface RT for the past month and have been pleasantly surprised with its productivity at school using excel and one note, not to mention the sky drive to save class syllabus and other pertinent documents. The surface coupled with Microsoft 365 on my laptop has created a "one-two" combination that is hard to beat. As soon as the apps get caught with apple and android the surface will be complete.

I would have rather gotten a cheap laptop than this. The detachable keyboard was awesome. However, Windows 8 has some unnecessary changes making the tablet annoying. The app store doesn't have much, and the games I try to ran crashed.

Screen image is clear and vibrant. Touch screen is sensitive enough to use without needing to push too hard. I am a fan of being able to buy a product and have the apps already available with it to do the tasks I needed it for. Unfortunately you have to pay separate for Office programming.

It's worth it if you are a student and need to move around with your computer. Does almost everything a laptop does without the sore shoulder from lugging it around and it is compact.

I lovethe touch-screen feature and the size of he screen.
