I bought this for my 13 year old daughter for personal and school use. She loves it!! I don't think she has set it down, since she opened it Christmas morning. We also picked up the keyboard attachment so it can be used as a tablet or cpu. So far, so good!

Microsoft had a great idea but fell just short. At the store the tablet looked great. The camerea in high store light showed great pictures but at home in everyday light pictures are grainy. When I took pictures, they were dumped into a common file and I could not figure out how to designate a certain file to store the photos. No MPEG & MOD - How do I show my family videos on this thing. Limited Flash - could not see certain web sites that use flash unless that web site got permission from the Microsoft god. Best Buy's own "Tablet How To" website uses Flash and the Flash would not open. Talked to their corporate and voice that problem to them. I could not transfer files from the RT tablet to my tower through my network but the tablet did pick up my printer. The Windows 8RT has a leaning curve but once you visit a few "how to' web sites and practice, it has potential for a limited market. MY sugestion is to wait for the full version of Windows 8.

This is an excellent tablet but the only downside is only being able to download apps from the Microsoft website. Having a usb port is also very nice, it is the only tablet I know of with that option. I would have gave it a 5 star rating except for the downloading issue.

I use it everyday for everything! It's easy to use and so compact! It's awesome

I have been a little surprised at the weak response to the Surface tablets. They outperform many if not all their competition for what they are. I think the expectations for a Microsoft product might have been too lofty. I love my Surface after I spent the time to get all the updates required to load 8.1.

Surface RT is a tablet that can easily be used to make portable your MSN portfolio and will be a good addition to a mobile platform. The screen is outstanding and large enough to use with most apps or games. Small storage capacity can be vamped up with sd or usb cards.

Fun to use, lightweight love the optional keyboard and the colors it comes in.

it is a fine tablet. nothing spectacular, but it gets the job done. it works for my high school age daughters' needs. It is better than having to carry around a laptop.

I had bought the Surface for school and for my own entertainment.It was an awesome buy, but sometimes the screen would rotate on its own in a completely different direction from the way it's being held. Also the keyboard would sometimes not be recognized and I would have to connect it maybe 3 to 4, if not more, times just to use the keyboard.Overall, it was an awesome buy, but the keyboard and screen were a problem for me.

This item is very easy to use. Very quick and the touch screen works very well

All in all a great 1st dive into hardware for Microsoft. A little over priced at first, but price cut brings it in line. Quick response. Easy to use, and worls well with Windows phone 8, Windows PC and Xbox 360

I absolutely love my Microsoft Surface RT! It was easy to set up & includes the software needed for everyday use. This tablet can easily replace a laptop on the go. It is just a bit heavier than I'd like & a bit bigger in size, but nothing to deter me from keeping it!!!

I bought this for my niece as a Christmas gift. So far, so good. It comes with Office and though the keyboard for it is $79 - $129 xtra, it is very easy to use and compatible portable (Bluetooth) keyboards can be found online for much less. She loves the portability & that it weighs practically nothing.

I love this tablet! Everything runs so fast and the screen is so clear it is amazing. One issue with updates that caused the type cover to not work properly. My concern is that others with less experience may have the same issue and not be able to repair. Had to find control panel and update device drivers to remedy issue. Other than the minor driver problem, this thing is great.

Love the MS Word, PowerPoint and xcel. Can work from my laptop. Also can Skype with ease when I am away from home

I can navigate it easily. The tablet is so user friendly . It's light weight

Bought three of these, one for each of my kids. Two in college and one in high school. They absolutely love them! All three find that they are easy to use, able to get all of the apps they want through the Microsoft store and will be able to use them for term papers and other school work. It's the best of both worlds for them - entertainment and productivity! Great product!!

Bought this for my son for college, he absolutely loved it for one day, the problem came when logging in to his school network, Windows RT does not support the Java Apps needed to access some private networks. Returned it and bough a Windows 8 touch screen laptop as well. Wish it would have worked out, when Surface Windows 8 version comes down in price, I'll definitely get one.

My family owns 5 iPads, a Toshiba Thrive, several iPhones, a Galaxy 3, and more. So we live by the touch computer interaction for many things that we do. When my wife wanted her own device for classes, I was quite happy that the Surface was a $350 alternative that comes with Office! I did not want to spend Apple level money. But I expected it would feel more clunky, and be harder to use than the Android or Apple experience. But so far we both find it responsive, powerful, smooth, and smartly designed. If you find value in Office, for the price it is the best option out there.
