I had a galaxy tab 2. It sucked. I got this because it has a USB slot. I was worried about it not powering my external hard drive. No one at best buy could answer this for me, not even the "Microsoft guy". They kept trying to pressure me into buying the other one. I went with my instincts and MY hard drive works with it.

Love it. Like having my desktop with me all the time. Metal surrounding can lead to an occational shock sometimes. Wasn't fan of windows 8, but coming to terms with it. Needs more apps, but I'm sure that will come with time.

The Surface performs well as a tablet and includes some laptop functionality such as Microsoft office. But still has some downfalls of a laptop such as battery life and is slightly under powered as a laptop replacement.

Other than taking a week or so to learn the new Windows OS and the lack of apps on the Microsoft store, this product is great and I love it. Great for school and taking notes as well as surfing the web and personal use.

Easy to navigate. My son uses for school work and to play games. This is a great product for kids that are at the age to write reports and work on PowerPoint projects.

Have enjoyed the portability and connectivity of this computer. Coming from a Windows 7 platform, I find the Windows 8/RT to have a bit of a learning curve, not as intuitive as older versions with different commands. Overall, good to use, with a reasonably sized keypad and similar keypad commands found in older versions.

This is my first windows based product. While I love the Surface RT, it does seem a bit limited in regards to video/downloads. Not a lot of available apps, Touch screen is responsive, great for mobility, lightning fast easy to get a network connection.

I gave the SOURCE to my wife for Christmas thinking she could use this while watching TV or anywhere outside of her office. So far I'm the only one who uses it. I found out it acts like a Computer and tablet .it has USB Port ,micro SD port, HD Video out and headphone outlet . None of these are on my iPad. I have played with it for a week now and have tried to explain it to my wife but it's one of those things that you just have to do yourself. It is totally opposite the iPad which isn't bad,just not as easy. I'm going to bring it on a trip to see how it works on down loading pictures,which I can't do on the iPad.

Does take a little while to get used to, but trust me. Once you get used to it, you will not want anything else. It is by far, the best, easiest to use, most full featured tablet/computer hybrid device ever.

Love the tab.....like the stand ...makes it easier to use......fancy keyboards adds the charms...just have to pay extra for it... Wish there are more Apps so this awesome windows platform can be explored further.....

This was one of the best investments I've made all year! As a full-timer and a grad student, I needed something that was light-weight and easy to carry around with me for meetings or class. It's easy to use and the windows are very easy to set up without having to close out of different apps and windows. I love it!

This product was exactly the right amount of power and size. The screen is great for surfing the web or watching movies. Its what a tablet needs to be and nothing it should not. Some tablets try to be too many things which only raises the price. This Surface model should be a standard for all tablets to build upon.

I love this tablet this is probably due to my love for Windows. Its easy to use and it already comes MS Office equipped. I can pretty much do my basic needs on this. Also, very user friendly and this price was good.

This was a Christmas gift for a teenager. Easy to navigate and upgradeable to 8.1. The addition of a case and keyboard added to the cost, but that was expected. Windows office applications a real plus for a student.

I bought this for my wife because it comes with MIcrosoft office. This way she can do her school work from the surface anywhere and isnt stuck on the computer. So far she loves and as they say happy wife happy life.

I really enjoy my Surface RT. What I like most is how it fits into my home ecosystem i.e. PC, Windows phone and Xbox. I use Xbox music and Xbox video... what ever I do on any of these devices works on the other devices. Also Xbox smart glass is a pretty good experience and I hear its going to get better once games start using it. Downfall is price, but it does do a lot for what you get.

For a first time tablet user, I love the Surface RT. It is excellent for doing homework, surfing the internet, or reading and sending email!
