I would recommend this product to all my friends very light weight and I love that I can use it as a tablet too. Will be getting 2 more for my 4 kids to share.

Purchased the Surface as a gift for my college student daughter. She loves it. Mult use functionality, compact size and Windows software all in a compact size.

This tablet has been a great tool for working on school work and for personal functions such as social networking or uploading photos.

I got this on the Black Friday sale for $199.00, haven't seen it sold for that since, so it was a great buy. It syncs with my laptop so I can keep changes between both. The only issue I can't stand is seeing so many free apps in android from companies that would be nice on windows. IE TWC TV lets you watch TV on my android items, but TWC doesn't put is out for window 8, I have to go through my browser to access the service. This is just one of a number of apps I see offered my companies that I would like on this OS.

so far we love our surface tablet.we've only had it for a couple weeks, but it has proven to be areas liable wit a good battery life.

I've had the Surface for a few months now and it has replaced my MacBook Pro as my daily carry. I will admit that the adjustment to Windows 8/8.1 took some time but I get where they are going with it- and given how I use it on a day to day basis, it's just what I needed. The inclusion of Office is fantastic (I've always disliked Office for Mac) and using Skydrive makes it seamless for file management. I also purchased the Type cover because the lack of tactile response on the Touch cover didn't suit me. I am very happy with the purchase as both a work and play tablet system.

I found it easy to link all of my files from my desktop onto the surface. I am very pleased with the multiple uses it has to offer.

I have been using this tablet for school and it works great!

Easy to use if you are a Windows user. The office included is not the full version, but more than needed for home use.

I bought this for my 15 year old daughter to replace her netbook. She LOVES it. Christmas morning she had it all set up before breakfast. There are some apps that don't seem to work, we think it's because it's the RT and not Surface 2 or Pro. For example the News app doesn't open. Other than that, she is very much looking forward to using it for school. Because this is Windows RT, there are limited apps available. Make sure you update to the latest version before you try and download apps. For example, we could not get the Facebook app until we updated her version of RT, and we still can't get an iTunes app or Instagram app. These are minor issues which in no way diminish her excitement about her Surface.

In all this surface is replacing my lap top that is 8 years old. The surface is compact, light weight and has great graphics. I had to update to a Windows 8 and this was the best solution for the price.

I wanted a tablet that also had office capability for a reasonable price and I found it. I purchased my tablet on Thanksgiving Day and what a deal I got! It is easy to use and has great screen quality.
