Equivalent to a laptop for my needs

We wanted something that could be used for both schoolwork and business. The microsoft suite of products allows me to accomplish more than I would have be able to on an ipad.

There are very few common apps and the user-friendliness isn't the best. This seems to be a typical American business move get out to market and work the bugs out later. It's obvious not much thought was put into this device!! The device freezes, but one good quality is the battery life. All in all I would rank this a 3 out of 10.

I wish it were lighter, but otherwise it's a great machine. Fast, lots of apps, and the Geek Squad has been very helpful in answering questions.

We bought this for our 12 year old

We did alot of research and found this to be best product and it fit our price range. We were worried because she talked about the ipad but we just couldn't see spending the money on something that wasn't as useful. We made the right choice and she LOVES it!

Great tablet to use with young children.

The Surface RT uses Windows and comes with Microsoft Office which is a nice added feature. I would like to see more apps.

best tablet for school

But that is to be expected from windows 8 who has only had around nine months since it was released.

Started using over the Holiday and so far so good . Still have a ways to go, but right now I am happy with it .

Great computer for students!

At first it was a little weird navigating, but I got use to it and now love it and won't go back to apple!

better than ipad

I hate hard keyboard is over priced but hey I needed it. Overall 9/10 way better than ipad
