wifi issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tablet so I could take it to work and on the road when I travel. So far it has been alright, but whenever it goes into sleep mode and I then try to get online or refresh a webpage it says that it can't perform that action even though it is still connected to my internet. I have to disconnect it, then reconnect to my WiFi in order for it to work again. It wouldn't be such a big deal, but it is extremely annoying and frustrating to have to constantly do. Also, when setting up my personal email accounts in the email tile, it created a totally new Gmail account with "live:" at the beginning and I haven't found a way to delete it. It did the same thing with my Skype account. Despite those set backs, the battery life is wonderful, it is very lightweight, the tiles are handy, and the built-in stand is great. I'm still searching for accessories I like that aren't too expensive, but there are quite a few options.

Great tablet for Microsoft
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great tablet for Microsoft. It was extremely easy to set up and sync with my Windows 8 that I had on my PC. The snap on keyboard, is actually quite fantastic as well. The one draw back is that the windows touch logo is in the middle of the screen when you hold it horizontally and I constantly hit it while doing something, which takes you back to your tiles. I wish it was more of a button so i knew i was about to hit it. I love being able to get XBOX Live gamer scores by playing my games on my tablet.

Convenience for internet access
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product for the price. I needed microsoft office so I could interface with my computer at work. This allows me to carry over projects at home. Windows 8 is frustrating and takes more steps to log on/off. It's a great size and I enjoy using it!

Exactly what I wanted!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew what I was looking for when I decided to purchase a tablet, and I really wanted the Surface. I browsed some of the other tablets, but stuck with my original choice. I am very happy with it, it was very easy to just turn on and use. I love the keyboard, too.

Excellent for traveling.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looking for a lightweight, easy to use tablet for work while traveling overseas. This tablet does that. Had major issues with other tablets when trying to use MS Office. Not any more!

Great tablet if you plan on working from it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an ipad for two years, and while it was great for watching movies or just answering basic emails, I could never really get any "work" done on it. I needed something that I could open and create docs with, and that I could print from (what a concept!). The Surface is great for that, and now my outlook links with my computer/phone/tablet. No more duplicate emails and I can access all folders remotely. Love the stand and keyboard. I would like more apps available so that I could do a little more from it, but it seems like that is coming, so in the end, I'm extremely happy with it, and now that they have lowered the price, it is a great purchase.

Just the tablet I was looking for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waited a long time to buy a tablet and almost bought an iPad but the price drop on the MS Surface, the USB port and the handy type cover keyboard was everything in one package. Just took it to Europe and it was great while traveling. Still learning all the functionality but very pleased so far.

All features are fairly easy to use and accessible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great light weight product that is easy to use. I love all of the features and the ability to work on documents and view other applications simultaneously. I would recommend this product over the IPAD or other similar tablets as being more efficient and business useful for those individuals who are on the go and would like to stay connected.

Wow, so much better than I thought!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After I saw my mothers I had to get one for myself. I figured that it could act as a replacement for my laptop while at school since my other laptop was so thick. At this point though I use it for work as well. It's got the command line, I can set up VPNs, I can map network drives... it's amazing! Even though I can't install desktop apps, there are metro apps for everything I need (ex: coding, SSH, etc.). Also, it's Windows! I can use it like a tablet or use it like a laptop, no drawbacks. I can use internet explorer, explorer, calculator, notepad... all the things that normally come preinstalled. At a mere $350 this is a STEAL! I don't know why this thing gets so much hate.

Great Tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife uses this as her computer for schoolwork and it has worked great in concert with my desktop. The ability to use word and save to the cloud then pull it up later has been great. The battery life has been good. Wish it had more apps.

Great tablet for general usage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For my use, this has been a great tablet so far. I knew the available apps were somewhat limited, but I was looking for something I could use for email, web surfing, and availability of Office. So far, I've been pleased with the tablet and like the ability to use it like a "laptop." (You cannot install programs that don't come off of Microsoft Store). The only annoyance so far as been how tricky it can be to minimize or close an app. I have to "swipe" my finger from the top of the screen and down in almost the same exact fashion before the app will close. I've used it for streaming Neflix and that has worked well. Looking forward to getting a HDMI cable to plug into my TV.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought during the Thanksgiving specials. So for $200, I got PC functionality in a tablet form. This blows my IPAD away. I purchased mainly to transfer photos while travelling. I love the size (though a little heavier than expected), the USB port, and the fact that I can insert my microSD card directly into my Surface and transfer to an external harddrive is fantastic! Way more functional than my IPAD. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Ease of use, stocked with MS Office products
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ease of use - quick to get started. Stocked with MS Office products - provides productivity. Great for entertainment - streams well, excellent screen clarity, HD. Battery life is fantastic. The only downside is Windows 8 as all apps have reduced functionality on that platform.
