These are amazing machines. We have been using the Surface book and Surface Pro-4's for about one and a half year now and just love them. They have the ports you need as well as amazing resolution and speed. Very portable. The new one Surface Laptop listed here is even lighter and faster than the previous generation SB and SP-4. Very reliable machines.

I originally purchased the Surface Book but decided on having just the laptop and am so glad I switched! This laptop is so much lighter! It's super fast, lots of memory, easy to navigate and helpful voice assistant! Its so much lighter and soft to the touch! I can't wait to see what more this laptop can do! I'm still learning.

Small, compact, light, but limited in my version

Best laptop I have owned in 15 years. The only major complaint is that it is has only 256 GB of hard drive which is way too little.Also, No DVD drive and limited USB ports. AND it is expensive ($1300). But I knew this going in. The video playback quality is simply phenomenal and the controls are very easy to use. It is light and thin and looks wonderful. I opted for installation of Windows 10 Pro instead of the Microsoft limited 10 version which restricts certain downloads.

Good looking and fast

I like the touch and feel of the keyboard mat. Computer boot up fast with Solid State Drive. The computer is light and slim, with a the cost of limited USB port. If you don't need DVD Drive, additional USB peripherals, or secondary display output, this laptop should be sufficient.

I am happily impressed with the build quality, and the performance of my recent purshase. Screen touch is worth more than I anticipated and the battery life for this laptop is wonderful, really can last all day while working...streaming music, YouTube all day while using Excel/Word and email.

I bought this laptop for school, as I am attending an online college and also work full time. This laptop is light and easy to transport. I enjoy using the Windows 10 OS and the extra security on the laptop version of the Surface ensures me that my information is safe. I believe this is a textbook case of "you get what you pay for", and I am confident that this laptop will continue to highly perform throughout my scholarly duration.

I had problems with my previous touchscreen laptop in registering signatures. The Microsoft Surface is fantastic for this need and to boot, has great battery life, quick and easy to transition too. In short, I highly recommend this laptop for both business and personal needs.

Lightweight and computer up to heavy tasks

This laptop far exceeded my expectations. It's lightweight and thin. Computer has a great key touch feel and is SUPER fast booting up, processing docs and shutting down. It was also priced right. I have recommended it to two people now who have run to Best Buy to purchase one.

My son needed a new laptop, and wanted the top of the line. That's the reason he and I choose the Microsoft Surface. It has a big, awesome screen. It's very fast and efficient and he loves the touch screen feature, as well as the color.

The Surface Laptop is a wonderful computer. Super fast, with no problems at all. Easy to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, and even easier to use. Handles multi-tasking without any problems. Battery life is unbelievable. Only charge once per week and I use it several hours a day.

Awesome laptop - great value and features!

This is actually the 6th Microsoft Surface we have purchased. (3 Surface Pro 2s, 1 Surface Pro 4, 1 Surface Book, and now 1 Surface Laptop). This one is nice 'best of' model for a college student or casual user. It is super thin, yet sturdy. The keyboard is fixed, not floppy like the Surface Pro, which makes it easier to use when sitting on a couch, chair or bed. It does not convert to a tablet, though if you turn on it's side you can still draw on it in portrait mode using a touch pen (bracing the keyboard with a pillow or something). This machine (8 GB, 256 model) is surprisingly fast - same speed as my Surface Pro 4 for less money. They screen is amazing and touchpad is absolutely perfect, your finger glides over it so smooth and it is very responsive. As long as you are not looking for a tablet, this is an incredible machine. Out of our 6 surfaces, we have never had a single problem that needed service or customer service.

Love love love this laptop! It is so fast and powerful yet lightweight. Chose it over the other Microsoft surface products because I wanted more of the conventional laptop not a tablet. It is so easy to use and boots right up. Very pleased with purchase.

Great productivity laptop

This laptop is extremely well built. The 3:2 aspect ratio on the screen is great for productivity. It is powerful, and still light weight. The only concern I have is the I/O, which I think could have been more than just one USB 3.0 port.
