easy to work, watch videos, or get creative. it runs smoothly even when you have multiple apps open.
color looks sleek and modern, and the laptop is light (under 3 pounds), so it’s easy to carry anywhere.
feels a little static while on charging .

Excellent value, and finally a product that is part of the Microsoft catalogue that can compete with the portability and battery life of the Macbook Pro.

I was so very excited to received this laptop. I am in graduate school and was looking to replace my old lenovo 9i that I love but it was showing signs of wear. This laptop was highly regarded online by a few reviewers that I trust their opinions.
For the pro's:
The laptop is beautiful. The colors, the premium build the soft-touch keys are amazing. The touchpad is responsive and similar in quality to what I was accustomed to my lenovo.
Cons:
The screen is terrible. Its an LCD display that just looks archaic compared to the beautiful OLED displays you would expect in this price point. The low resolution of the screen gave me a headache when scrolling through webpages or reading materials.
Ultimately, I returned the device. This laptop would have hands down been the best laptop in this price range for the money if Microsoft had not gone cheap on the screen. If this laptop had the same OLED screen the regular surface had it would be a MacBook killer. Super unfortunate because I otherwise loved the laptop. However this was dealbreaker for me.

TLDR: Had high hopes for this, but there's so much to be desired. Having major network spike issues while my M2 Air, HP Spectre 360 never had this issue. Hoping the next set of updates fixes it. I can't recommend the Surface at this time due to the network and display issues I'm having. Maybe in a few months this will be worth the price tag.
Get a Vivobook or a Samsung Edge unless you care that much about the trackpad and keyboard. Didn't have issues testing out those machines with the same issues I have here.
Cons:
- Network spike issues with the latest drivers. I can only join meetings while hard wired now
- Issue with the display as others mentioned. It looked like the NPU was dying after 1 day of use? Did a reboot and it hasn't come back yet
- Battery life is nowhere near as good as Qualcomm or Microsoft say it is with basic office usage
Pros:
- Gets bright enough to use on a daily basis and even in the sun.
- Doesn't get as loud as the HP Spectre
- Fans don't ramp up as quickly on the better performance mode or recommended
- keyboard and trackpad are on par with my M2 air.
- Performance is great issues with my tech stack
- Fast boot-up time
- Feels and looks like a $1300+ laptop
