The docking station is very well made, sturdy, and follows the design and characteristics of the Surface itself. First, the design. The angles compliment the Surface Pro 3. Everything about the docking station gives it a professional look and feel. It looks great sitting on the desk (and by the way, is one of the few docking stations I have actually put on my desk). I tend to put docking stations and laptops out of the way and out of sight. But being able to use the Surface Pro 3's touchscreen and writing capabilities made me want to keep it in sight. The only part you want to hide are the cables, but some straps or other methods can easily take care of that for you. The "catch and release" of the docking station is great. Slide the Surface Pro 3 down on the dock. There is a lip on the bottom of the dock that catches the device. Then slide the sides of the dock in and you are set. No need to plug in additional cables. With the dock closed against the Surface Pro 3, it is firmly in place. The type cover can then be lowered and used.

The dock is a great accessory for the Surface Pro. It is such a convenience to just place the Surface into the dock and have everything from monitors to external hard drives connect automatically. If you plan on using the Surface with an external monitor, then I highly recommend this product.

Using a Core i5 or i7 model, you can replace your desktop or laptop with this device and a tablet. Use your external monitor and keyboard. It is the perfect solution to reduce your device count at work or home.

I am so impressed with this docking station! It's so easy to dock and remove the Surface, and it fits like a glove. I love the various ports in the back that give me the versatility I need. And bonus, the Surface Pro 3 has truly replaced my traditional laptop. Home run, Microsoft!

It goes anywhere in the house. It's light away. It charges my device and allows for me to plug in my USB memory stick, usb stick for my wireless mouse and keyboard, and I still have more ports as well.

I own two others for use at my business and home office. Purchased another for use at 3rd business location. All work as advertised. Plenty of ports to plug into for monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.

This fits perfectly with my Surface Pro, especially for office work. I have plenty of USB ports for additional accessories, and I like the mini display port for projecting presentations on a screen.

Does exactly what it supposed to, no hassle I just plug it right in and it worked perfect. It works perfect for multiple monitors and all you have to do is plug the surface right in to make it work.

Pro. is good addition for my pro 3 i buy over Black Friday last year i can connect my pro to my TV easy other then try to unplug the cable every time. and keep the pro charge and ready to go in the morning con. is not work with surface 3 or any previous Surface pro.

This docking station is a great way to use all of the functionality of the Surface Pro. It is easy, unobtrusive and works well. It is very straight forward so there isn't much else to comment.

Now that I have this dock I no longer need my laptop to do software development on. Plenty of USB ports and nice display port support. I like the way the surface locks into place as well.

I've actually got two of these and they work better than any notebook docket that I've owned. You can hot dock, release, hot dock, all day long and it will properly switch back and forth. Great accessory to avoid having to re-connect the exterior keyboard, monitor, wired ethernet, mouse dongle, speakers, etc. One comment: it will occasionally (after a firmware update) loose the USB connections; the LAN and monitor work fine. I've found that if you will disconnect the power and then reconnect, everything works fine again.

Very easy to use, solid construction, and lots of ports (which the Surface Pro 3, unfortunately, seriously lacks.) Only drawback is that it's not exactly conveniently portable. Compared to docking stat I ns in f wneral, though, this one's pretty good.

Actually turns the tablet into a desktop with more usb slots. One thing-you also have to get an adapter to attach another monitor and that monitor must have a hdmi connection.

extra outlets for docking -really great-they should have warned you about where to place the pen as iif you placed it on the side of the surface it bangs up against the dock

This docking station was great to have in my home. I could take my surface pro 3 to work and then dock it at home when I didn't have to go in to the office. Very practical.

Show them this product on the amazon site on your phone and they'll match the price of 150, which is still crazy for a product that can't cost more than 3 dollars to produce. But hey, Bill and Melinda need more zero's, so get to work

It's perfect for my needs. Plenty of USB ports and display port allow me to keep my desk wirefree and keep everything behind the dock for clean look and manageability

Great way to use your Pro 3 as more of a desktop. Combined with a keyboard you will have the ease and comfort of a desktop but the versatility of a tablet or laptop.
