Allows me to take full advantage of my surface 3. I only wished it allowed me to use it for generation 1 and 2.

The docking station is so compact and a must have if you work from home and want to have a larger monitor. I have two monitors connected so I have three operational screens. Great for multitasking.

Works as expected. The only issues I found were the lack of angle adjustability, but if you are using to connect to an external monitior not a very big deal, and the mini display port is oddly recessed. I had a mini display port to hdmi adapter that I was using with my SP3 that was not able to connect to the docking station because the rubber around the end of the male end was to thick and would not fit into the recessed hole. I ended up having to purchase another cable (Insignia 6" mini port to hdmi) that ended up working out great. Other than that for the price a few more ports would have been nice.

Love the dock station. It take little room on the desk and holds the surface pro at the perfect angle.

The Surface docking station is convenient and sleek, but for half the price or less you could put together the same functionality from separate components.

Purchased a 2nd docking station for my home. So easy to set up and makes working at home even easier.

For those that like docking a machine at the office or need extra USB ports this dock fits the bill.

This is a great thing to have if you need more USB ports and want to hook up an external display!

I'm really happy with this dock. I was initially going to buy a second charger for the SP3, but after seeing this in the store I decided to give it a try. I'm amazed they can run all of the ports through the one port on the side of the SP3 (Mini Display port, USBs, power, etc.) The left side of the dock even has a magnet hidden under the side so you can store your pen. Great dock and I'm very happy I purchased it.

I decided to experiment: No desktop, only my Surface and a dock at home and at work. Works like a charm. I have two monitors connected - one via the dock and another via the Mini-DisplayPort connector on the Surface itself. Highly recommend. Many Best Buys have open-box versions of the dock, saving you money. I'm not sure why the docks get returned - I've had zero issues with the two I've purchased, both open box.

Takes up very little space and offers a variety of additional functionality to the Surface.

I wanted multiple screens. You can hook up to 2 additional monitors. So I have 3 screens now, with the surface as 1 of them. It works great. You do need to buy 2 mini display adapters that are roughly $25 each if going the 3 screen route. It took me longer to open the box then to get the two screens hooked up and working.

The Surface Pro docking station is very easy to use. Simple set the Surface Pro vertically in the dock and slide the sides of the dock in.
