I have been carrying around a super heavy, 17in. high-end gaming laptop. Now that I decided to commute, this has become a bit of a (literal) pain. So, I decided to minimalize. Since I mostly do production tasks, media consumption, and web browsing, I originally went with an iPad Air 3 with iPadOS, pen, and keyboard. Although very convenient, I have always been more at home within the Windows ecosystem when it comes to office tasks (mainly MS Office) and personal writing. Also, pricing was a huge consideration. This bundle was more than half the price of the somewhat equivalent -iPad Pro (with only 64GB) and keyboard (sold separately). Yes, the A12 chip is much more powerful than the i3, but MS Office and other web-based tools are not as optimized in iPadOS as in Windows at this time. I must say that this tablet is very well designed. The magnesium finish feels premium and cool to the touch. The i3 model bundle comes in a sort-of matte platinum body that is fingerprint-resistant, except the Windows logo, which is reflective. It’s fairly ergonomic to hold even in one hand since it weighs only 1.7 lbs. and is only 8.8mm (.33in) in width. There are physical buttons for volume and power/sleep. As far as connectivity, the MSP7 features a USB-A, a USB-C (not thunderbolt, but good futureproofing), and a Micro SDXC card reader. This allows for even more storage without external drives and dongles (I bought a 256GB for only $45!). There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack, which I appreciated. The kickstand flap seems sturdy enough and provides different viewing angles. The 12.3” display is very nice and bright featuring MS’s PixelSense technology. It has a 2736x1824 resolution (267 PPI) with an aspect ratio of 3:2, which is great for web browsing. The colors pop and are vibrant, with deep blacks and great color separation. However, the screen is way too reflective, and in an office lighting environment, this is a constant nuisance. I still can see what I'm doing, but I must turn my head or the SP7’s orientation constantly. The viewing angles are decent and that helps a bit. I did notice some slight flickering due to the automatic ambient light adjusting, which I turned off. The speakers are stereo, have OK sound, but really nothing to rave about. The felt-like keyboard (included in this bundle only) has a nice feel and decent travel. However, it did take me some time getting used to it. Since I can't type all that well, I need more tactile feedback and spacing or it’s “Correction City” for me. Then again, this is a personal issue. The official Apple Smart Keyboard cannot hold a candle to this keyboard in the tactile department. Although I like using mice whenever I can, the glass trackpad is simply amazing. It is highly responsive and has satisfying clicks. I would not be upset if I didn’t bring a mouse. The cover also helps protect the screen. I will highly recommend investing in the Surface Pen as it makes the tablet so much more enjoyable to use when taking notes, editing presentations or simply doodling around. The pen is light, and the tip has nice traction on the screen and feels natural; like using a Sharpie on a smooth board. Plus, you can use the end as an eraser! In my case, I’ve found that the specs are good enough for what I do. I do notice how slow it is in some regards from time to time. I mean, it's got an i3 with 4GB RAM. So, keeping open tools and webpages (especially with Chrome) can cause hesitation and hiccups during fast multitasking sessions. This is definitely a pro for the iPad, which is buttery smooth. I can certainly see someone needing more horsepower if they do heavy video/audio editing, 3-D coding, or gaming. In the end, I would recommend the Surface Pro 7 i3 to anyone that’s looking for an affordable Windows-based tablet for productivity and portability. Remember: this is a $699.99 bundle (at least for now)!

I always wanted a Surface product, but I didn´t wanted to spend a lot of money, so my immediate option was the surface go. Size for the keyboard was my main concern and the main reason I never bought the surface go. When I saw the price for this bundle drop and it was $600, didn´t think twice purchasing it. So my experience after 2 weeks with the product has been great. I mainly use it for browsing the web, some YouTube, Microsoft Office, super light editing. You might think i3 processor and 4gb o ram won´t cut it, well it will if you´re not looking for a pc o laptop for hardcore use. I highly recommend this specs for $600, higher than this I would not recommend, screen size is great, keyboard great key travel and spacing (considering the size of the whole package), backlit keyboard great feature, build quality is great, weight is amazing, but size of the whole thing with the keyboard is mind blowing. Nevertheless battery is not great, is acceptable considering the size and how thin it is and what it offers, I´ve been getting an approximate of 4 hours to 5 hours and half with some juice left in the battery, so in my case since it's just for casual use and not heavy usage all the time, it's acceptable. Having all that in the table makes this an amazing option even if the battery is not the best, but for an over all package this is a perfect bundle at the right price.

Right size, love how portable is, light weight. Fix on must of my purses. But runs fast, love that can be used as a tablet, and as a laptop as well. Best feature is the option to use a pen on the white board app, and the pen works also as a remote, and I the magnetic attachment of the keypad, and the charger as well. Idefinitely recommend this item.

Computer is great over all just the apps have a 5 second delay but camera is good and the display is awesome and so is picture quality love the versatility durability and it's light weight you can take it anywhere. Definitely worth the buy plus if you get it with the surface pen you will even have more fun and greater functions.

Quick set up...Versatile and handy. This combined with my docking station, I can take work home to complete things in a snap without having to bring a whole bunch of paperwork. Does what I need it to do and can use it anywhere.

If your looking for something that doesn't break the bank and gives you flexibility as a lightweight laptop that converts to a tablet, then look at this Surface Pro 7. Having a SSD hard drive it's very fast to start up. When it's put into the sleep mode or shut down, there's very little difference for start up. I first bout the computer without the pen, then about 3 weeks later bought one on sale. It's definitely worth the investment. Only complaint is there's only 1 USB port.

This is what you want if you're a very busy person and don't want to carry a heavy laptop. The surface pro 7 is very lightweight, very fast and has a beautiful display. I have a i7 HP envy touchscreen that I rarely use now.

Bought this for my high schooler studying Graphic Design. Everything in the description is TRUE! I bought it when it was sold as a combo WITH the keyboard....so make sure U read carefully because the keyboard AND pen are usually sold separately.

I got a great deal on Black Friday. Bought this for my child for school since the chromebooks the school issued during distanced learning are slow and the apps never get updated. It came with a keyboard. The pen and mouse are sold separately. I would definitely recommend this tablet. Sturdy but a bit on the heavy side coming in at 2.4lbs with the keyboard. (the pictures i took have a protector case since my child is only in kindergarten)

My wife needed a new tablet and I saw this on sale. Came with detachable keyboard and Windows 10. The best of two worlds: a tablet and laptop! She is very happy with it.

I’ve had this laptop for school and one of the best laptops ever used. It made me purchase my own. It came with the keyboard already and the screening is nice. I can turn it into a tablet to watch videos and movies. And if I want to work turns into a laptop.

I purchased an open box Surface Pro 7 for $470. WHAT A DEAL!!! Pickup at the Eagan store was easy. This model is the lowest priced, 4 GB memory and 128 GB SSD. More than enough for home computing and job hunting. The screen is bright and clear. The speed is fast. Battery life good, but not great.

I love this Microsoft Surface Pro 7. Is everything you could want in a laptop plus it works like a tablet if you want and you can draw on it and do designs. It’s my second time buying it because someone in my class broke my screen so I had to rebuy it and I had only had the other one for two years but it’s awesome!
