excellent and reliable laptop that I bought from BestBuy!! It has exceeded all my expectations with its fast-processing speed and crisp display. The battery life is also impressive. I highly recommend this laptop to anyone in need of a high-quality device for both work and entertainment.

I found the Surface is perfect for my needs. I use it for a variety of projects including my college classes. It is very easy to take with me when I am on the go. I have the matching keyboard, although I do not have the pen, it works great for me without the pen, may be a future purchase. I would definitely recommend. However, I Would NOT recommend Best Buy. They ended up mailing the product to me when it was supposed to be sent to the store and it was then a big issue with a 1k purchase sitting on my porch. I also found there is no one locally to speak to on the phone with any issues including issues with a product. I ended up returning and purchasing elsewhere where they have local assistance.

I love it. It’s a tablet that runs on windows like a computer. I was skeptical of the price because I normally buy laptops around ~$400 or so. Being that this was a tablet for ~$1200, I felt sticker shock but ultimately it’s worth it 1000%.
I use it as a student and haven’t had any problems with the ARM64 restrictions that people speak of.
Downside is that you have to buy a keyboard to use it as “traditional” laptop.

I have had many different surface devices over the years along with mang other branded laptops like dell, apple, asus, and more but this is by far the best windows laptop yet. The battery life out lasts my m2 air, it’s extremely quick, the oled screen is amazing, and it’s very thin and light.

Why doesn't this show up when searching "Laptops"? It's a laptop. It has a "tablet" form factor, but it's not. All the gaming handhelds running Windows should also show up when searching "Laptops" on this site. The Lenovo Legion Go is more of a laptop than a tablet. It's not as limited either. I think the line between a tablet and pc/laptop should be defined in OS, not hardware- OS at the time of sale. I get it, enough nerds can put Windows onto a Samsung Galaxy Tab or Ipad. But let's face it, we are paying for the OS. Which makes no sense.
That being said- If Microsoft makes both the hardware and the OS, shouldn't Microsoft products be cheaper? The Microsoft Tax makes no sense to me. They have innovative products. As far as hardware goes, their QC standards are higher than others. I appreciate that most surface peripherals are backwards compatible. (or rather forwards compatible, as they haven't really updated the keyboard and pen for 2024/5). But for the Microsoft tax, I subtract half a star. For me, however, half a star, because if you can find this on sale, it is absolutely great. another partial point off for Best Buy, because the ones that do go on sale can depend on the colors of the unit. Which is weird. If our mothers taught us right, it's what's on the inside that matters, and not what's on the outside. Last week the Blue ones were on sale, this week the Gold ones are marked down.
That being said, the step up to higher storage and pricing make no sense. The cost difference between the 512gb and 1tb is double that of if you bought a 2tb harddrive and paid to have it installed. (The installation is easy, you may need help in cloning your old drive.) Again, it's the Microsoft tax that makes no sense to me.
All complaints aside, I was hesitant from moving from a Meteor Lake Intel chip to the Snapdragon. What made it worse is that most of the Youtube and online reviews are all 4 months old at the youngest. They all complain about ARM adaptabilities. I've found that list has gotten shorter, but it's not without problems. You still have a better chance of finding things that work better on x86 Windows rather than ARM. But, there are workarounds. My biggest worry was peripherals, namely printers and bluetooth speakers, mice and a few other things. Fortunately, I am happy to report, that all have worked and I have had no issues.
Most of what was also listed as "not available" in those videos are available as Chrome or Edge extensions. The VPNs I use are both available in Chrome and Edge. I've had trouble finding antivirus I like, but the Ad-blockers I use in my browser extensions also work well. But for now, as to calm those of you who are paranoid; Windows defender works well these days. However, the added upside is that with the app compatibility issues of ARM based Windows, computer Viruses also need to play catchup. Hoping most of the antiviruses will be caught up before that time. This comes preloaded with MacAfee, but as always I removed it.
Overall, from a hardware standpoint, this thing is great. The battery life is amazing. I've always loved the form factor of the Surface Pro series. I gave up on the 9 because I felt I was compromising performance for form factor, but also the battery life was atrocious. I have felt that a lot of laptops are now again playing catchup to the newest iteration of the Surface. The screen resolution is high enough that you are getting a good amount of information. It's brighter than most laptops out there right now.
Get the pen and keyboard. The Surface Pen is great on surface laptops. HP and Asus use the same technology on their 2-in-1's so if you have a surface pen all will work. That being said, the newer surface laptops are losing pen support. Sadly, the Surface Studio 2 and Surface Pros are the only computers out of the Surface line continuing pen support. That being said, the Surface Pro does 2 things better than other laptops in which WPP technology works on- palm rejection. Drawing on a Surface is so much better for that reason alone. Even if the pens work across other laptops, I appreciate that. As far as pen to app-as far as clarity and clean lines, I prefer what the Galaxy Pro 360 offers, but again, palm rejection isn't as good; in the mouse of Samsung laptops also.
All that being said, get the older generation keyboard. The extra $200+ price tag isn't worth it. You can carry a second bluetooth keyboard for so much cheaper. Mix and match colors. I'm assuming that's the only reason the tab and keyboard are sold separately. They used to sell other colors in the keyboards. I don't know why Microsoft stopped.
With all that being said, I feel like ARM based Windows is moving in the right direction. Right now there is a slight learning curve, with that being said, which way that curve move is going to be based on how many people move in that direction. The hardware is great. Points off to the guys selling, for all the aforementioned reasons.

The Surface Pro is slick, powerful, and fast. I use it with a third party blue tooth keyboard, and two screen extenders. I'm not a gamer or a graphic artist, so I only need it for reading, research and writing. It meets all my needs. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that it's slightly glitchy at times. One never knows what is at fault in these things, but I've been having a tough time when writing comments in Word when I write in Portuguese (which I do often) because the accents don't work properly. Again, I don't know if it's the keyboard, Word or the Surface Pro, but they all work fine together in regular text. Also, my WhatsApp app sometimes has to be logged off of my name and reconnected because it stops syncing. Again, I don't know where the problem lies, but I didn't have these kinds of issues with my old Surface Laptop. Still, I highly recommend this product.

Amazing device. Great display really good performance and quality surface build. Can highly recommend especially on sale. Only downside is the keyboard and pen costs. Can highly recommend a surface pro this year for the first time in a while.

This is a nice device. No issues with printer\scanner as people like to point to with ARM devices. Extremely fast and excellent battery life. I did return it, though. It was not quite the form factor I was looking for. I did purchase the new Surface Pro 12" and it is perfect for my use case. If you are looking to replace a laptop, but also want tablet functionality, this is an excellent device

This laptop is decent because it runs well, has a sleek design, goes everywhere my granddaughter needs to go, and is very user friendly! Our only complaint was having to buy a separate keyboard, but she adjusted to that.

I absolutely love my microsoft surface. This one was a replacement for my older surface that I used for work for almost a decade. I love the ease of its use. the versatility of going from a computer to a tablet and the battery life is so great. I don't think I'll ever not get a surface. It's my favorite and I love the color of "Dune" it's almost like a rose gold, so cute.

I've been using the Surface Pro 11 for a few weeks now, and it's been a game-changer! It's super lightweight and easy to carry around, so I can take it anywhere. The battery life is impressive too—I can go all day without needing to charge. Plus, the new keyboard cover is a big improvement over previous models. Very durable as well considering I had a weird week where I somehow unintentionally dropped it, although it looked like i threw it. This happened 3 times. No damage or noticeable issues. Overall, it's a fantastic device that makes working and playing on the go a breeze.

I have a 16 inch macbook pro max, but use this device for work and school on the go. It’s a great device! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a laptop/tablet that is lightweight and easy to carry with you, while still powerful enough to get the job done.

Finally the Surface Pro model you have been waiting for all these years. Very good battery life, I charged it to 100% before going to bed and it was still 100% the very next morning. Incredible for a portable Windows device.
Performance was also pretty good, so long as you are not using it to game or run incompatible apps.
All apps that I used worked perfectly fine and the experience brought a smile to my face.
Finally, after all these years, we have a Surface Pro model that truly lives up to the name. If you are searching for a Windows 2 in 1 with great battery life and performance - this is it!

This was my third Surface Pro (I had a 6 and an 8). While the display is gorgeous, this has enough issues with compatibility that it should not have been released. It's been out long enough now that these should have been resolved. The biggest issue is that there are no drivers for many standard printers. When I finally got my printer to work at all, it took about 90 seconds to spit out a page. With my SP8 (intel processor) it's about 10 seconds. I have an HP OfficeJet 9010, so this is not some obscure hardware. I have looked online, and several people have complained that it is not compatible with most common printers.
Evidently there are problems with other peripherals, but I did not experience these. I did find some of my software is not compatible with ARM (including a driver updater).
I exchanged the first SP11 I bought because it started to have a null pointer error on a bunch of operations. I tried to do a factory reset, and it went into an infinite loop without halts. I got a second one, and that is when I found the printer problem. I decided to return that one, and tried a factory reset on that one, which also could not complete.
I am not a gamer, and don't need most of the features where the ARM architecture shines. Also, I am not a fan of AI assistants, as the generate a lot plausible junk, so any advantage you might get with ARM for copilot is irrelevant for me.
So - not a fan, here. But if you are ok with the limitations of ARM architecture this Surface Pro would be a good candidate.

The Surface Pro 11 has been awesome! I bought it to replace my bulky rugged work laptop and it has handled everything I’ve thrown at it with no issues. I was worried about the ARM architecture but this has not been an issue at all and the battery lasts all day and then some! Very pleased with this computer.
