It's taking some getting used to the touchpad. It has different features - such as having to use two fingers to right click. Sometimes I will click repeatedly before it will respond. The computer has a mind of its own sometimes too and will just shut down applications. I should have returned it!.

Good product but after five months, it does not track or keep up with expected battery performance.

I had high expectations for this keyboard, especially given its high price, but honestly, it's not worth it. The trackpad is tiny and not very comfortable for palm use. The right-click button is positioned at the very bottom, and the only way to adjust this is by making the entire pad a right-click zone, which causes the left-click to stop working. Not sure if I just got a defective unit

Not really a major upgrade from the current Surface Pro keyboard, but has some nice features. Wireless works okay, although you may need to reset your PC from scratch to force a required Hardware Update in Windows Update. Once you get it working, it is nice to be able to detach the keyboard. I use this feature all the time. Note that this keyboard is noticeably heavier than the original Surface Pro keyboard due to the battery. Battery has lasted me a whole day at work so far, so tested out to about 10 hours which is fine since it tends to stay attached to my SP 11 off-hours. I bought the BOLD keyboard version, which is much easier to see.
Perhaps a little pricey for what you get. I may invest in a Logitech mini keyboard and mouse instead for half the price. But I do like the concept and overall quality feels decent.

Poor battery life the downfall for this keyboard.

Function of keyboard and haptic touchpad are great but unfortunately it is all for nothing because the battery life is horrible. You will only get about 1 to 1.5 hours at best keyboard is detached and running on Bluetooth. This is nowhere near Microsoft's claim of up to 42 hours on full charge.

The mousepad is glitchy and doesn't work sometimes. Clicking is very difficult and almost impossible to click and drag something with the mouse. I have to use a bluetooth mouse. Very disappointed. Was this returned broken?

Keyboard does NOT have Bluetooth connection

Recently preordered this from the store, and was advertised as if the keyboard had Bluetooth. The keyboard does NOT have Bluetooth connection like advertised on their website and listed on their specs. I talked to customer care because I thought the Bluetooth just wasn't working on my keyboard, and they told me that it did have Bluetooth and my keyboard was broken which was a complete lie, and after further research, I realized that this model does NOT have Bluetooth connection, so don't be fooled by what it says on their website and what customer care tells you. Very disappointed in this, I am also a BestBuy plus member and hate to be treated like this.

There is a great keyboard for the four months that it worked and then it just died out of the blue for absolutely no reason Microsoft would be ashamed of themselves for selling something so expensive with such poor reliability. This product should’ve been recalled in a new version put out.
