Customers appreciate the Surface Pro Type Cover's high-quality keyboard, ease of use, and lightweight design. Many also enjoy the available color options and the protection it offers the screen. However, some find the price to be a significant drawback, and a few have experienced connection issues. Other less frequent concerns include the lack of a number pad and the impact on battery life.

Really like the red Keyboard for my Surface Pro 4. It protects the screen and feels good when typing. A little expensive but worth it.

I enjoy using the touch screen on my Surface Pro 4, but we all need the keyboard every once in a while and this is a must. You get the complete package with this keyboard. I went with the basic black, but there are many colors to select from.

I'm 6'2" with big hands and didn't buy the Surface Pro 3 because I couldn't feel comfortable typing on its keyboard. Microsoft got it right with this key board. I bought it for my Surface Pro 4, but was told it could fit the Surface Pro 3.

I have had every iteration of the Microsoft Surface. This type cover is by far the best. So good in fact, I bought one for my wife's surface pro 3 because it would fit. The island style keys are very easy to type on and great to the touch.

Although you don't need a keyboard with the Surface Pro, I find typing on a physical keyboard much easier than the touchscreen keyboard. The keyboard snaps onto the Surface Pro securely and also serves as a cover. The key have a nice, but not overly stiff, resistance. The touchpad works well, although I almost never use it, preferring to use the pen instead.

I absolutely love the keyboard! It attaches easily and firmly to the Surface. It is a somewhat quite keyboard, so you don't get the loud annoying click, but you do get some audible interaction. Once you have used it for a day or so it is very easy to locate your keys. The feature that allows it to cover the screen and act as a screen protector is fantastic! I have traveled quite a bit with this keyboard and it does not easily come off by accident, but will come off easily if you desire to remove it.
Highly recommend this product.

When I started using older apps on the Surface, it was clear that I wasn't going to get by with the touchscreen and stylus alone. The keyboard and trackpad have saved much frustration. And, hooray, for colors other than black and white!

Great protective folder for the Surface Pro 4, because it preserves the lightweight portability of the tablet and flips open into a keyypad. This way you can use the keyboard OR type directly via the pressure-sensitive screen and pen.

Designed to pair neatly with the SP4. Nice tactile response from keyboard. Can work as efficiently as a standard keyboard. Opted not to get the fingerprint scanner as facial recognition on the SP 4 works fine for speed and security.

Great price at Best Buy. This is genuine Microsoft Type Cover for Surface Pro tablets. Much better than the previous generation. The keys are spaced farther apart so you do notmistype, and, the touchpad is larger.

I bought this to go with our Surface Pro 3. It works great. The lighted keyboard is a nice option in low light settings. For the price of the Surface though, it should come with a keyboard instead of having to buy it in addition...

The type cover is a must, the on-screen keyboard is nice, but for real word applications you MUST buy a physical keyboard.
Works as a screen protector, and a lap stand as well.

Purchased this for my Surface Pro 3 as I wanted the larger trackpad and the new style of keys. Typing is very comfortable compared to the original keyboard. The trackpad, while nice still has some quirks like the SP3 keyboard did when clicking the right mouse button. But that might be my use where I see the issue. All in all, would purchase again.

This keyboard has a good tactile feel to it and seems sturdier than it should be considering how thin it is. Light and very convenient. Keys are separated and easier to feel than keyboards where keys are jammed next to each other.

I purchased this keyboard when I bought my Surface Pro. I was replacing a laptop and knew that I wanted a keyboard and this one has worked out great! It attaches with a strong magnet and works beautifully. I highly recommend it!

I bought original surface pro and those keyboards didn't have an Insert key! Yes, there are still applications that use it to for shortcuts etc. Thankfully all the keys are here on sp4 cover and it feels good to type on it.

The keyboard for the pro4 is much better than the one for the pro3. Fingerprint ID function is definitely not worth the extra money, considering there is already facial recognition software--what is the point?
Only thing I don't understand is why the brightness button is NOT for the screen! It's for the backlight. Weird... Silly change.
