This keyboard has a good tactile feel to it and seems sturdier than it should be considering how thin it is. Light and very convenient. Keys are separated and easier to feel than keyboards where keys are jammed next to each other.

Whether you have the Surface 3 or 4, you'll enjoy the feel of this keyboard and trackpad. I feel it's a significant improvement over the previous model. If money is a consideration, then this device is pricey but worth it.

So far the key board has been fine. In fact no problems at all. Light weight and durable. All of the tablets should have a card reader but since they don't the least they could have done is put one on the key board.

Since I use my Surface as a laptop rather than a tablet, I wanted a keyboard. This model is light but also sturdy. Attaches easily. Keys are responsive. I didn't have any trouble adapting to this unit.

I do a lot of work with my surface pro. Although I wish I didn't need a keyboard but its a must in order to complete the All in One experience. The keyboard works perfect. The only grip I had was the price. I do believe for what it is, that the price Microsoft is asking is a bit much but overall it does what its meant to do.

This is my 2nd Surface keyboard. They may look thin and somewhat flimsy, but the first one stood up to some rough handling by my 2yo granddaughter and still works. Typical "small" laptop keyboard layout. Adequate for routine typing, but not ergonomic or suited for long periods of typing (good for us two finger typists, but the touch typist may not like it). Functions well as the surface Cover. I miss the pen holder my Pro3 keyboard came with (btw, the keyboards are interchangeable), so I made my own - playing card and superglue. The pen is held to the side by a fairly strong magnet, but it sticks out and is easy to knock off. Using it for this review. The mouse pad is OK - my personal preference is to use the pen as the pointer device.

Bought this with my SP4 and the keyboard functions great. Lighted keys can be turned on or off. The feel of the keys is soft and comfortable. The color is very bright. Works very good with the SP4

The keyboard works just great. It makes the tablet feel like a complete laptop- only lighter and cooler. I would definitely recommend it if you're picking up a Surface for Christmas.

The keyboard is great. It's easy to use, lightweight, looks cool and protects the computer. It was a good choice. The salesman was really helpful in getting us just what we needed at a good price.

Definitely an essential item for the surface pro 4. The keyboard is very responsive and is easy to maneuver with. Takes time to get use to it if you have huge hands, but it works very well.

Love the color and the feel of the back. Very soothing to my being....... Allows my fingers to dance across the keys. The keyboard makes me want to use it more. I've already written another novel.

Cover protects the surface pro, is a simple design, and the keyboard works well. It takes a little adjustment to get used to typing on it, but after using it awhile I am very happy with it.

    EXCELLENT Keyboard Cover

The Type Cover for the Surface Pro 4 is an amazing (and, really, an essential) accessory for the Surface Pro 4, or even the Surface Pro 3, if you need a new one (yes, this IS compatible with the SP3). The keys are well spaced, the blacklight keys are bright and easy to see while typing in the dark, the glass trackpad screams 'QUALITY' with every use. When folded back, the keyboard disables to prevent accidental keystrokes, and the fold length does NOT reach far enough to cover up the Surface Pro's rear-facing camera and microphone. It is, in every way, an improvement from the SP3's type cover. There are only 2 (minor) drawbacks: 1) It requires cleaning once in a while. Oils from your hands, given enough time, give it an 'unclean' feel, and you have to wash (yes, that's right, WASH) the Type Cover. There are instructions in the paper manual that comes with the type cover on how best to do this, so don't fret too much. 2) Fold-back can feel awkward. When reversing the keyboard, and attempting to hold and use your Surface Pro, having the keys 'clicking' under your fingers with every slight motion can be kind of annoying. However, if this REALLY comes to bother you, the type cover is easily removed.

Feels like a real keyboard and the keys are also back lit for dark environments. I highly recommend this option when purchasing the tablet. It magnetically connects to the bottom and holds on strong. The tablet detects the keyboard automatically so no syncing delays. Most importantly it protects my screen. I haven't purchases tempered glass yet and hope it fits the same. I never last it on hard surfaces that can scratch my Windows logo so the keyboard is always the side I lay it on. Poor keyboard takes a beating and keeps on working. Not to mention when laying on top the keyboard it's easier to open and get started. Adjust your kickstand and lift the screen.

Ridiculous price for what it is but it functions as a normal keyboard and it's backlit, which is awesome. I love the sensitivity of the trackpad, in other words, one tap (not a click) selects.

Much improved over the SP3 variant. Extremely comfortable to type on and use everyday. I am a Network Engineer & Grad Student, I use my SP4 daily for everything. Typing 10+ page documents for class is a breeze and a joy on this keyboard! This is what a 1st party accessory SHOULD be, Simply AMAZING!

It has taken me getting used to, but the keyboard is very durable seeing how I type very hard. Love how the keys have a little light under them to make it easier to type in the dark.

Goes perfect with my surface pro 3 and I love the color! I almost bought black but I am absolutely in love with the teal color. Also I would never buy the surface with out this keyboard.
