This is one of the best companion keyboard you can have for surface pro. its sleek, light weight and its got great color.

This keyboard has a great feel and doubles as a protective cover. It serves my needs better than originally expected.

I bought this keyboard with my Surface Pro 4 and have not regretted it for a moment. The magnetic connection makes it so much more convenient than setting up a Bluetooth connection, with fewer drops and hassles. It's nice to not worry about charging another device, too. The backlit keyboard is more helpful than I thought it would be. And the size and smoothness of the trackpad is far superior to the previous keyboard. This is also backward compatible with the Surface Pro 3.

You really need to have a keyboard for this Surface Pro series. I had bought the Surface Pro 3 and have been using it without the keyboard cover, but it's usability has limitations. After the surface Pro four came out I read many reviews about it's keypad cover. I can confirm that it is far superior over the previous version and it is compatible with my Pro 3. The typing is extremely smooth, the built-in touchpad works extremely well. I particularly like the back-lit keyboard.

I have a surface pro 3 I bought this keyboard to replace the one I bought with my surface pro 3. The keys are space apart making it a lot better to type on. The keys also have a little more bounce than the original keyboard. The only problems have ran into is sometimes when I leave the surface pro 3 for a few minutes the keyboard/touch pad stops responding. And I have to unplug the keyboard from the surface to get going again. I am not sure if it is a software problem or a surface pro 3 problem. Also you would have thought that ms would have chosen not to use the same fuzzy keyboard skin the second time around. It still collects dust/dirt. This keyboard is what the surface pro 3 was missing.

The keyboard performs well. I would have like to be able to work detached from the surface. Also the red seems to get dirty fast. You may want to go with a black one if your going to travel with it.

I purchased this as a secondary Type Cover, my primary one is the black model with an integrated finger print reader. Both type the same, feel the same, and have the same trackpad. Overall the Type Cover for the Surface Pro 4 is a drastic improvement over the Type Cover for the Surface Pro 3. The keys are larger and more spaced out, the backlight system is brighter and easier to see (actually giving it a purpose), the series of Windows 8 buttons have been removed and replaced with more universal options (volume adjustment, media playback, backlight settings, etc.), the trackpad is larger and more sensitive, and the Type Cover is a little more rigid than the previous generation. The good news is that it works with both the Surface Pro 4 and older Surface Pro 3 so you don't have to upgrade to the Pro 4 in order to benefit from the Type Cover. The one thing I miss is the fingerprint reader. Windows Hello doesn't always recognize my face when logging in. I have gone through the improvement process multiple times but there are still some instances when my face wont' unlock my PC. When using this Type Cover, I have to type in my PIN number to unlock my Surface Pro 4. It's not a big deal but I much prefer simply resting my finger on the scanner in order to unlock my Pro 4 when Windows Hello doesn't recognize my face. It's easy, fast, and secure. I wish Microsoft would add the fingerprint sensor to more of their Type Covers than the standard black one. All-in-all, this is a must buy for any Surface Pro 4 owner. I like the teal color but would prefer it if MS added the fingerprint scanner. Other than that, it's a solid keyboard and a solid color that goes will with the gold Surface Pen.

This keyboard is light weight and easy on the fingers when typing a lot. It's slim fit folds up in my case nicely.

It is a keyboard that feels good and I have had no issues with it at all. Connects fast and is smooth to type on.

Love my Surface Pro 4. Despite the price and belief that for the price of a Surface Pro this should be packaged with it, the keyboard "accessory" is essential to the Surface Pro. As comfortable as it is to use as a tablet, I think it shines even better with this keyboard. The redesign is great, comfortable to type on and pick up the key spacing right away. Backlight is great and it has rarely lost bluetooth connection to the Surface Pro. I think this keyboard is great.

This is a must have accessory for the Surface pro 4. It snaps on and off the tablet with ease. Closing the cover functions as a great screen protector and also puts your computer into sleep mode. Typing is very smooth. The keyboard is thin and adds very little weight to the overall size of the computer.

A big improvement over my other surface keyboard. Backlighting is nice but uses a lot of battery. Leave it off most of the time. Happy I spent a little extra when I bought the Surface Pro 4.

The keyboard apparently has improved since the Surface 1/2 keyboards. The keys are spaced out nicely so it almost feels like a real keyboard. it's got magnetic connections to the Surface, and a magnetic strip to 'lock' it to the Surface. All in all, it works great and feels great, and it comes in whatever color you want. Just wish it came included as a bundle with the Surface. If you buy the Surface, you have to buy one of these, but it's worth it.

I love this keyboard. It is responsive and is back lit for easier reading in dim environments. It is light weight and operates as a protective cover for the Surface Pro. It can be removed by pulling loose the magnetic connection or turned all the way around so that the Surface Pro can sit flat on your lap. The keys are inoperable in this position. A small criticism is that J and the K keys could have used a little bump to help locate finger placement.

Gives you the feel of a full keyboard, with adequate key spacing and response to type quite rapidly. It's also very thin and light and doesn't add much weight for traveling. That being said, I feel it's over priced for what it really is. Pick it up on sale and you'll be glad to have it.

Though you can get along fine on the Surface Pro 4 without this keyboard having the ability to use a keyboard helps make the Pro 4 a real laptop replacement. Sturdy and responsive as well as solid connection with the Pro 4 you never feel like this is going to fall off. This keyboard is also compatible with the Pro 3 and the feel of the keys along with the improved trackpad make it a nice upgrade from the Pro 3 keyboard cover. Highly recommended.

Tech keeps getting better and smaller!! I'm an Ecom Mgr so I live on my Surface daily. I'm picky about keyboards and I love this one! A keyboard must have a good feel if your a touch typist. You can def feel the keys and feedback. Its LED backlit too so thats a plus as well! Love love love it! I like this one better than the newer one. The fabric on the newer one just feels like it won't hold up ...but who know?
