Customers have good things to say about the Surface Pro X's 4G LTE capabilities, sleek design, ease of use, and battery life. Many appreciate its portability and the high-quality screen. However, some customers express concerns regarding the processor's limitations in running certain applications and occasional performance issues. The ARM-based processor's compatibility with 64-bit software is a recurring point of criticism.

I chose this Surface because it had LTE and I was hoping since it was new it would be a fast model. The first purchase had to be refunded as AFTER I configured it completely, I noticed there was a crack in the top right corner of the screen.
The replacement also had issues and in mid-configuration, after rebooting, it would lock up at the MS Windows logo screen. Couldn't do anything about it. No matter how I reset it, it wouldn't proceed past this screen.
Third one came and I gave it to my user to use. They are complaining of poor performance. E-mail is taking 30 seconds to send. Apps are opening up slow. My user is NOT happy. So I may be returning this one as well.
It was nice that it had LTE, but I think there are issues with the ARM compatibility with software.
I'm going to probably be getting an Intel based system if my user doesn't want it after this week.

Love the portability. Enjoy the ease of operation and face recognition. Great colors and again the wonderful windows 10. The fact you can carry it around laptop or iPad very nice. Still learning how it all works I will figure it out.
Thanks Microsoft

This is a nice system if all you need to do is use the Internet and check email. However, because of the ARM processors, you will not be able to install any 64-bit software. Kind of makes this about as useful as any chromebook but more expensive. Loved the sleek design, full real estate for screen, and concept of replaceable hard drive but until all the software can run on ARM technology, you may be disappointed with this purchase.

Really liked Pro X - SQ2 is faster than SQ1 model - graphically a little smoother. Great design (head turner) & built-in LTE nice to have.
Most of my work software was compatible (including gds & cad viewers, JMP, Ping & others), all the games I tried worked - although not as smooth as my main i7 11thgen laptop - but playable.
However, Box storage was NOT compatible and this was deal breaker - absolutely needed for work.
Sadly had to return the system.

I purchased an open box satisfactory unit (Perfect Condition) and got it for nearly half price. This thing is very impressive and super fast for web browsing.
My last notebook was the Asus Novago, a similar ARM laptop that is inferior in every way. Obviously if you have to do any kind of processor or graphics crunching tasks this is not the product for you.
The screen is the brightest and crispest I've seen on any laptop. The SQ2 processor displays pages instantly, no waiting. The Edge browser mimics Chrome to a T and the battery life is 10 hours plus. When Xcloud for PC debuts in a couple of months this will be the PC to have, if it isn't already.
Oh, and if you get a keyboard get the Brydge version, it's awesome. Makes the PC into a clamshell laptop for when you need it. That limp floppy thing they sell with it is awful.
I gave this top ratings for value, that's for the open box 50 percent off version. If you're paying $1800 you can do better than the SPX.

Some limitations

Too many limitations. The Surface Pro X comes with an ARM-based processor and an integrated LTE modem, which is why it is an interesting device for those who appreciate portability. However, in everyday use, the combination of an ARM SoC and Windows 10 results in a lot of limitations, and the battery life is also quite poor.

Processor doesn’t run 64 bit programs, trouble installing updates, and comparability issues. Beautiful design though.

I could go on and on. This is one sweet tablet. I’m more than pleased. I would buy this tablet again. I would tell a friend to buy this tablet. It’s very easy to setup out of the box. It works seamlessly with the keypad. I really appreciate the 4G LTE.

Went to Best Buy to purchase the Surface Pro and received excellent service from purchasing to getting the surface pro hooked up with my Verizon plan. All the employees that helped me were knowledgeable and answered questions. The employees set up the surface pro for me and showed me some things I would not have found out on my own.
The surface pro with the wi-fi and 4G has worked and with practice and use, I should be able to manipulate it like my old computer!

Works well for what’s compatible with it. The new ARM processor is too new to truly show its potential due to the lack of compatible apps. I look forward to seeing that change. Good overall.

If you absolutely need a cellular connection this would be a good choice. But Wi-Fi is so prolific it may not be worth the ARM processor over the Intel chip in the surface 8. Google drive and a few other apps aren’t supported due to the ARM processor.

This thing is sooooo terrible!!!! I bought it because it has LTE and is super portable to work away from the office and edit PDFs and create drawings. It lags and glitches constantly with Nitro Pro. Takes a long time to open powerful systems. I definitely regret my purchase, one star is even too much to give this!

Love this little power house. Not quite a gamer machine, but its plenty fast for multi operations at once. Using your data can be a challenge, I had to call and get a sim card for it.
Would have been nice not to have to pay an extra couple hundred bucks for a key board.

Microsoft has produced a Windows product that is incompatible with 90% of all windows programs. Unless you only use Microsoft programs, you will find this computer inadequate. Adobe, a huge company when it comes to productivity, only has one program that works on the Surface Pro X. The problem is the ARM processor architecture. It is only compatible with mobile apps like you find on Android. To improve the mobility and connectivity of the Surface, this chip is necessary, but Widows is the wrong OS for such devices. Other than that, it seems to be really nice, but I won't know for sure until I find a use for it with no programs to use.... The web browser works good. Maybe the rumors that Windows 11 is compatible with the Play Store will open up opportunities.
