This pen and keyboard combo is insanely perfect. I was skeptical of getting a surface, but wanted one to roam while teaching. The precision of the writing is eerily accurate. This particular upgrade, I have found really gives me the true ability to use the surface as laptop and tablet. I love having the pen charging in the laptop without having to worry about it.

You will end up buying this at some point if you have a surface pro x/8/9. I would wait until it goes on sale or pick up an open box model, which there always seem to be plenty of. The keyboard and trackpad are much improved over the previous surface type covers, and the surface slim pen 2 is among the best digital pens I have used. I think the pen is even better than that of the apple pencil 2. The flat shape of the pen, which feels like a carpenter's pencil in the hand, allows the device to be easily gripped, and your hand is never confused of where it is. Additionally, Microsoft has added haptic feedback to their surface pen this time around, which adds an extra level of immersion when writing on an otherwise texture-less glass screen. The battery life is more than enough for a full day and the charging location at the top of the keyboard is both genius and ensures you will never lose it in a bag.

I like the pen holder and the keyboard is anle to be at a tilt. Keyboards similar to this i used in the past laid flat and i found them difficult to type on. This keyboard is great. The keys are a little noisy, but i am getting used to it.

Love this, makes it much easier to use the surface pro. Sometimes it starts working on its own so i have to disconnect and reconnect. But this always happened to me when i had the first surface that came out.

Works great, the pen is the closest one to an Apple pencil that I've held so far. The keyboard feels great and the keys have nice travel. Great keyboard in conjunction with the Surface 8 Pro works great for students and professionals alike.

love the color and performance, I've owned multiple generations of surface products. This one has the pen hidden in the keyboard (yes the pic it looked visible, but it folds up when not in use) and it also charges it. I upgraded to this keyboard for that reason and it is a lit keyboard, easier on night flights.

I have been using this keyboard for about a month now. I upgraded from a Surface Pro 5 to a Surface Pro 9 and appreciate the subtle differences. One is the placement of the keyboard light button, just to the right of the Esc button. I also I love that the pen is hidden away when the keyboard is in use. The pen is also magnetic so it can attach to the side of the laptop screen when in use or be placed temporarily on the areas of the keyboard where there are no keys and it adheres there as well. The combo is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Mine was an open box in practically new condition so I was able to get it at a discounted price.

This key board is very easy to use. Sturdy and sleek. Whether using it as a keyboard or laptop in tablet mode don't realize the keyboard is there. Haven't tried the pen yet but haven't had the need yet! Definitely, worth the investment.

Works great. The keyboard is a must have for the surface. 80 percent of the time you can get along fine without it, but when you are seriously doing work, there are times you just need the trackpad and keyboard. The pen is great. It feels good in the hand and adds tons of functionality. You can even use it as a presentation clicker.

The keyboard works really good. I love that it is so lightweight and easy to attach and detach. The pen also works super great and is easy to use. Only thing that’s keeping it from a five star is that there’s no option to keep the keyboard lights lit while using. They dim off after about ten seconds or so.

The keyboard is very pleasing when typing. I wish the key did light up for when I am in a darker room.But that is something I can get past. Its amazing that the pen charges with the keyboard

So we were wondering if we would like the stylus that comes with this and it is well worth it. Some people don't like the keyboard but having that as a cover for the screen and easy to open and type it really works well for what we use it for.

Overall, I am happy with the keyboard and the pen. Easy to use. Nice storage compartment for the pen. The pen feel nice and operate smoothly. Keyboard keys are just as nice as standard keyboard. Very easy to attach and deattach to the tablet as needed.

The keyboard works fairly well. It’s a bit rough to remove the board from the Surface Pro, but it means that it stays on it well. The keys are easy to press and aren’t unsatisfying to use, though the hand placement take a second to get used to. The stylus is good as well and the different buttons function nicely. All in all it works well and I’d say is worth the money.

The keyboard and surface slim pen are simply incredible. The work well and as expected. It's wonderful to have a product just work sometimes, you know? To work well.

The pen really helps keep the finger prints off of the screen, and also helps me write when I don't have room for the keyboard. But the key board is really comfortable and has a great key touch and positive feel. I was using it on a train last night on my way back from a business trip and it just works, and works well. I can't say enough good things about this key board. I like the Razor keyboards because of their sound and feel. And I like this one because it is so silent, and also feels good.

Keyboard works very well. Unsure about the Slim Pen 2. It as unpaired from the Surface a number of times. Not sure why. It's charging is odd. Never seems to go above 75%. Not sure its charging while in its keyboard slot and the surface is off but plugged in. Pen works very well when in use. I bought this as an open box.

Great and easy to use. I am a mac guy coming over. I like the pen optiop for safety, unlike apple i may say.

Perfect match for the Surface Pro 9. Works great and very nice soft feel to the keys. Touch pad works well. The pen storage is great and stays charged.
