The pen itself works very well as an accessory to the surface. I switched from an iPad Pro 12.9 M1 model with an Apple Pencil to the Surface Studio Laptop.
Overall the Surface Pen has more functionality. There are customizable programmable buttons that allow for the device to remotely open programs and have different functionalities. It writes well, but is not as comfortable in the hand as a traditional round pen.
If you are a Microsoft person this device will please you as an accessory to your Surface or Windows device.

Best pen Microsoft has delivered thus far... the response to the surface pro with this pen rivals that of the apple pen.
Great for writing notes, doodling, or design. ease of use creates the feel of a real pen to paper. The wireless charging an no need to change batteries is a real plus with this pen.

I like how Microsoft designed this pen, very powerful and very versatile, little bit expensive but it gives you what you need. Even better id you have the keyboard with incorporated charger. I just simply love this pen.

I like the pen for selecting items on the screen. definitely better than my fat finger. I am not sure if it works with software other than Microsoft products.

Great intuitive use of a stylus. I like the click of the eraser and that you can use the eraser like an eraser on the screen. If you like to take notes or be artistic with your surface pro, this would be a must have.

This pen is slim and smooth. It pairs easily. Easy to use. Love the erase feature as well as the picture taking capability. It fits perfectly in the charging slot of the Surface Pro Keyboard. It is a bit pricey.

Good product. I feel like it may be a bit expensive for the features it has but overall good product. I already did lose it. I would recommend if compatible with your surface that you use the keyboard that can charge and hold it. I didn’t and it was easily misplaced with the charger if it disconnected or fell into furniture cracks. No tracking option either to find in case it gets lost

Pairs well with my MS Surface Studio. Works like you’d want. Assign it to be a pen, or pencil, paint brush, aerosol can, etc. Can use it for taking notes and filling out forms too.

I purchased the pen in good faith after research and asking the Best Buy (BB) chat about compatibility to my SP 7. It was established it was, but MSFT and/or BB made no effort to disclose that a seperate charger would be required for SP prior to 8. They just list them all as the same in the product specs. Another $35 is one thing, but now i have to reorder and all that goes along with that. I hope my opinion changes once I get operational with it, but right now we are getting off to a bad start. How Ironic, BB is quick to suggest other items to purchase with something, but they too, like MSFT, fail to tell you what you MUST have. I would have thought better. Consumer's wasted time mean nothing to MSFT.
