Love the pen, it works well. Feels great in hand, and although I'm not an artist, it is perfect for note-taking and annotating documents and screenshots.
I have no complaints, it has a charger, a slim profile, and does what it is supposed to do. However, my only concern is whether it is worth the big price tag, just seems a bit steep if you're not the type of person that relies on the pen to use your surface pro. It reminds me of the pen for the Samsung note series, it's cool and fun to use at first.. Then you just kind of forget about it and rarely use it.
In situations such as mine, you will always wonder whether it is worth the price of a microwave or fancy coffee maker.

I use this pen all the time on the go even streaming. I love this pen and how better the sensitivity it has from the default pen I got with the surface. I do wish it was rounder and fit in my like the default pen. But not too difficult to use. Its charges and last long so that's also a plus. Would recommend for people who use surface as a digital art tablet ir writer. If you wanna see it more in depth you can catch me on my twitch streams, vesenia designs.

It is not as sensitive as I was expecting. Not the end of the world. But after only 6 months of use while I was holding the pen it just cracked in my hand. I was just writing with it although my drip was not relaxed, that shouldn’t be enough to just crack it. Unless I am the hulk, but I have no reason to believe that is the case.

I had the older style surface pen and always had issues when replacing the battery. The little gold connection would always get scraped off and that pen would stop working. Now this one just charges in its little holder! No more worrying about breaking it. The charge is long lasting, pen feels like a pen when holding it, it is lightweight, and it works as well as the old one did.

Worthwhile Upgrade

This is a huge upgrade over Microsoft's previous models. O.K, I know it is just an electronic pen, but I use them all the time. My previous favorite was the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) and frankly, Microsoft's version seemed like an afterthought. This flat design is terrific. If you haven't used one, I can understand the hesitation to embrace it. I use this with my Surface Pro X, Surface Duo, and Surface 6. It is rechargeable, no more AAAA batteries. Easier to grip. I'll admit it is pricey.

With the Surface Pro, there are 2 pen options. There is the basic Pen Stylet and the Slim Pen. I wasn’t aware there were two options until I didn’t a little more research! The basic pen runs on a powerful battery and is good for basic use. The Slim Pen is a rechargeable pen that has a more sensitive touch for the Surface Pro products. For drawing, it’s easier to use as the brush strokes feel more natural, (like you’re using an actual paint brush or pen), where as the basic pen I felt I had to add more pressure to the screen and re-do a lot of lining with art applications. I would say the Slim Pen is a tad more of an investment but definitely worth it especially is you’re using the Surface Pro products for art capabilities!

I purchased the Surface Slim Pen for my new Surface Laptop Studio. I use it for photo editing. I have dabbled with creating drawings. It stays attached to the Surface Laptop Studio and stays charged. The pen works great. It is the tool I didn't know that I needed.

The pen is lightweight and comfortable to use. The charge lasts a long time. I mainly use my tablet to take hand-written notes, so I use the pen a lot and I hardly ever have to charge it.
I love that the pen can stick to the side of the tablet. The pen glides smoothly across the glass screen with no skipping or lagging, and the pen strokes are pressure sensitive - light pressure provides a lighter stroke, heavy pressure results in a heavier stroke (aside from the pen thickness options on the tablet).
The Palm Block feature on the Surface doesn't work 100% of the time for me. I don't get "ghost marks" but I do get the on-screen keyboard popping up randomly while I am writing, which can be disruptive. That may be more of a Surface issue than a pen issue, though.
Overall, it's a great pen.

It feels really nice. I can use it on a different device, such as HP envyx360. It still working nice. I have no use it on a surface, but I am sure it should feel the same way. Very smooth. Only downside is a little pricey.

I got this pen because it didnt need the annoying AAAA batteries the other windows styluses need and it was worth spending the extra money. Since I make notes regularly, not needing to worry about batteries has been extremely worth it. With its reliability and ability to also crop/erase with the button and back tip of the pen I have been extremely happy with the purchase.

I got this pen as it was the latest technology. It works amazing and is very responsive in my surface. I love the design and feel in your hand. I wish they made cases that this one fit into. I got a case that holds a pen but it’s the old model pen.
