Great sound and quality, easy set-up, pairs well with devices I use it with. The touch controls are nice and respond well. These fit pretty snug in my ears but can be tricky to fit just right. Haven't really had anything negative to say...if anything I wish maybe they were a bit smaller but it's not a deal breaker. The Surface Audio app makes things easier as well, so definitely install that when you first use these. Overall a nice set and would recommend

Like the color, great concept. Sometimes falls off the ear and box scratches easily. Box is really small which am not sure if it’s good or bad, but overall decent.

They are not heavy on my ears. I love the look. They don't look cheap. I like the option to find the size/type of tip for each of my ears individually (one size/type does not fit all). Great sound. Unlike my Surface Headphones, I actually don't mind the lack of sound cancelation on these earbuds because I like to be aware of my surroundings when I am outside. Caveat: they are not for running or heavy activities, as they will fall off.

Decent sound quality without fully blocking out the office boards you may need to hear. It does have responsive touch interfaces which works almost every time but the skip track and volume are split between the two. Only one ear bud is connected to your device while the other feeds data off the other. Comfort is really good and I can wear them all day at work.

Sound quality is great, as is ease of use. Noise cancellation is decent; works great in an office and OK on a plane. Two things: (1) don't toss the extra earpieces until you're 100% *sure* you have the right size. I thought I did, but with experience I switched to a smaller size to make the fit a little more secure. (2) Record the serial number on the box before discarding that box, and carry it with you somehow. Its location on the device (inside the earbud holder) is almost impossible to retrieve. You can't get any kind of support (I needed replacement earpieces) without it.

These are easily some of my favorite earbuds I've ever owned. They don't so much go *in* your ears as they do sit in your ears, which makes them exceptionally comfortable over longer periods of listening. I was initially concerned that they'd fall out while running or working out, but I've only had a couple instances where I didn't adjust them before movement that they ended up slipping out of my ear. I use these while lifting quite regularly without any issues.

The earbuds fit securely in the ear and have two other size options for those with different ear size and shape. The sound quality is good and I like being able to hear what is going on around me, it's not noise canceling or obscuring. There can be some static sound when you turn them on and before you start playing music and sometimes even as the music plays it seems to go away though. Probably the biggest oddity is that the right earbud drains battery significantly faster than the left earbud.

These are better than I was expecting them to be, they sound good, and I really like that the Surface Audio app allows you to customize the equalizer for an even better experience. I definitely recommend these. I will say that they can tend to get a bit uncomfortable after a while. I listen to them throughout my work day and overall I really like them.

Great earbuds! The thing that wins for me is the equalizer app that comes with these earbuds. There are a lot of fine adjustment settings that you can tune to easily make them sound better than the pixel buds or air pod pros. The gestures are easy to operate as well, though I wish all the gestures could function with each earbud. The only downside is that there is no noise cancelation. Quality may lessen if you are a louder environment, but overall my favorite ear buds right now.

The Microsoft Surface Earbuds is something I have been hyped about for quite some time. The unique design and features intrigued me when it was announced. Now that I have been able to use it for quite some time in real-life, I must admit I am quite disappointed with the overall offering. First, the design. Yes, it’s unique. The large earbuds that kind of floats on your ear and frankly, the style is not for everyone. They look more like popsockets stuck on your ears rather than earbuds. In this age where we are seeing more and more discreet earbuds as they are shrinking in size, this is kind of in the opposite spectrum. Once I somehow got past this polarizing design aesthetics, I found the fit and comfort to be exceptional. I spend most of my time listening to music or podcasts on Spotify, and even after using these buds for hours and hours on end, I didn’t feel any issues. The weight is minimal, and the eartips have a nice seal without causing any fatigue. The earbuds can be controlled with the large circular surface on the outside, and like most touch inputs for headphones, I needed some time to get used to it. But once I was past the learning curve, play/pause/skip/volum/call etc. control was not too difficult. These are spread between the right and left buds, so some memorization is required. There’s a companion app (Surface Audio) that shows the charge level between the earbuds, change equalizer. The app is available in Android, iOS and Windows 10 PC. In the PC version, there's an option to integrate to Office 365, like swiping the earbuds to control Powerpoint slides, etc. However, I had some difficulty setting these up on my PC, and did not bother much with it because it seemed too much of a hassle. The earbuds have an accompanying charging case, which is quite small and pocketable. The buds snap into their resting position easily and charging starts automatically. There’s a light inside the case which shows status. The case itself can be charged with a USB Type-C cable. However, it does not have wireless charging. As for the sound, I found the sound to be good and balanced. But it is not exceptional or something awesome. There are a number of earbuds that have more detail and richness compared to these. There’s also no active noise cancellation, and they rely on the physical seal to block outside noise. All in all, the Surface Earbuds provide a pretty decent experience. But that’s the issue for me - it’s decent. Everything works - but nothing is exceptional (except maybe comfort). When you’re spending this amount of money on wireless earbuds, you want something unique and get wow'd. These failed to do so for me. For every feature, I could find a better alternative. And at this age, what Microsoft is offering is too little too late. You can find a decent pair of “true wireless” earbuds for a fraction of a cost if you just want a plain vanilla experience. I appreciate their bold design choice, build and material choice, but sadly I can’t recommend this to anyone at this price point. Not the best bluetooth earbuds I've ever bought (comparing to Pixel Buds, Treblab Xfit, Anker Soundbuds Wireless) and does a couple of things that are really annoying - first of all, a little bit of backstory: I'm one of those geeks who likes to have products that are made to work with each other (i.e. got pixel buds specifically to pair with my pixel 5, so I got these surface buds to pair with my Surface Studio desktop computer). I love that it is found/connects seamlessly to my computer BUT ... now the bad stuff. 1) The freakin BEEPING: Sometimes when I'm trying to adjust the volume (which always defaults to 50% - also annoying), I'll accidentally hold my finger on the bud for too long and I'll get a really annoying string of beeps that I have no idea what they mean. As far as I know, there is no documentation as to what these beeps mean, and it lasts sometimes up to 5-8 seconds WHILE I'm trying to watch a video) 2) After I already had these for a week, they finally released the ability to connect via APT-X, though it seems to have done nothing for the latency ... I'm talking almost 800ms which is worse than any bluetooth headphones I've ever owned. What gives, Microsoft? I had to install an extension on my browser that delays the audio on youtube just to be able to watch videos with audio synced properly - otherwise watching videos is maddening. 3) The touch controls sometimes don't work if your hands are a little dry so hopefully you have some lotion around. 4) Sound quality - since this more or less just sit outside of your ear canal, the sound is not as fully immersive as buds that go slightly more into / fit more snugly into your ear. Don't get me wrong, they DON'T fall out even if I shake my head, but I would only recommend these for situations where you don't need to hear at maximum quality.

I have Samsung buds+ and they blow these things out of the water... and are cheaper. I have tried all 3 ear sizes and none feel like they fit properly... I have never had that in any in-ear headphones. They start up out of sync and the touch control is terrible, With all that said, they do sound good.

I often use Teams during Data Center installs. Mics have good noise cancellation , they integrate well with windows and Microsoft programs. These are comfortable and often forget I have them in my ear. Looks aren’t as dorky as you would think. The sit in my ear, only visible from the side. MS Buds don’t have noise cancellation or noise isolation. The fit is open, which lets in background noise. My hearing is not great which made it hard for me to hear people in super load environments. The flip side: you can hear everything around you and communicate with other people... without taking them off.

These earbuds sound great and the Office 365 integration is innovative. But, they are not comfortable for long wear times. It might be my ears, but they press on the inside of my ear after a bit and hurt. Your mileage may vary. I’ve tried the various included tips with no luck.

Great sound quality and more secure, comfortable fit than I anticipated! The Surface app allows you to change different sound settings, which is convenient. Very user friendly and it remains when paired after pausing a video/music - which was an issue I had with my previous headphones. Great buy!
